What's your favourite memory of Andre Agassi?
Tennis TV easy. Agassi vs Baghdatis match US open.
Australian open run like Djokovic
next his slams

Such a FANTASTIC vid! Fans of tennis of the last 10-12 years, who endlessly argue about “who’s the GOAT” (and base that only on stupid analytics like # of GS titles)...missed the greatness of Agassi. A fantastic player, and someone who’s journey was so varied and so wonderfully HUMAN...that it is truly inspiring
That's very well said. 👍
The most "memorable" memory: The ending of his career after the third round loss against Benjamin Becker at the US Open 2006. A lot of emotions on both sides of the screen - Agassi had tears in his eyes and so did I. As another commentary put it, the cleanest ballstriker ever. One of a kind.
Indeed. Same for me. The passing of a mighty era of American men's tennis and a man that changed the way the game was played.
Him winning Roland Garros and completing Career Golden Slam
I was thinking about it this morning
He’s the only player in the ATP to ever Complete the career Super Slam which consists of Winning the Four grand slams + ATP Final + Gold Medal. But I’m wondering what would be the next thing of djokovic wins a gold medal, cuz he is the only one to ever win All 9 Master 1000.
SoulG he did it twice which is insane
@@MonkiDonki Actually the Super Slam consists of winning the four Slams in singles + doubles + mixed.
Happy birthday Mr André Agassi,my first tennis hero and the purest ballstriker i've seen so far. My best Agassi memory is his first grandslam victory against Ivanisevic at Wimbledon 1992.
Love & respect to my hero ❤
Was like a ROCK STAR. What a memories running trough!!!
I remember watching him and DAN MARINO back in the days!!!
I miss them so much!!!
Sampras may have won more slams but Andre was my 90s favorite🤗👍
Amazing to see what he looked like in 1990 and then his last one in 2004
Agassi was a legendary player he had a stellar career
Perhaps they should have changed Miami's name to Agassi in the 2000s. People would be saying, "Hey, let's go to Agassi Beach," and "My flight to Brazil next week has a layover in Agassi." Dang, he owned that place.
Yep. And he did so into his 30's. Incredible player. "Agassi Beach" has a nice ring to it.
He loved playing in the Florida heat. Come to think of it, I never saw him cramp, ever.
@@chuckfriebe843 I think his workout routine in Vegas probably had a lot to do with that.
@@chuckfriebe843’cause he made his opponents do the running
Hair piece era Agassi was the most coolest to look at and the most charismatic to watch out of anyone that's ever played the game!!
The man that made me love tennis, I would not be playing today if not for you... thank you ♥️♥️
This really spot lighted how penetrating and powerful his shot was. He put Federer on his heels, that's amazing. He was special!
2001 - sunny double, 2002 - 3 masters titles.99-03 Totally big Andre
he may have hated tennis, but he sure loved to win. can't fake the pure joy on his face.
Unique player
What a player!
I probably wouldn't be playing tennis if it wasn't for Agassi. He made me and many others want to go out and learn the game.
So true
One of the greatest. He won Wimbledon playing from the baseline, while Sampras couldn't with his serve &volley in RG, nothing will equal that.
but sampras had the last laugh with beating him at the open in 2002 and taking home the title into retirement
@@gremsa Did Sampras ever win the French Open or medal at the Olympics?
@@bubufubu he didnt need to because he was the best of his era. he had the last laugh.
@@animanga9597 Sampras had the best serve of his era which was a huge help to his volley game. He's fortunate that Agassi was mentally weaker, didn't devote himself to the game as much, and was a bit of a train wreck during the mid to late 90's. Agassi won just about everywhere. Can't say the same for Sampras. Had he played the Australian Open during his first 6 years, that slam count would have been much closer.
Agassi was a better all around player. He got the last laugh.
@@bubufubu no he didnt beat was better than him and he couldnt stand it. look at the head to head pete proved it there was no luck my friend. your fooling yourself.
Thanks for the video, Tennis TV! I love Andre so much...
Agassi used to own the record for most master title wins, then Novak and Rafa came around and they've set a record with 34 and 35!!!
They're are truely monsters of this sport.
Of this WEAK ERA you mean!!!
Im a NO1E fan but AGASS1 was FAR better
@@larvancioramos9748 back in the day winning a master was hard af, and Agassi did it with 17 titles!!! He is truely THE CHAMP, THE LEGEND
@@nhatlongvu8896 yep. Best of 5 sets.
I just love this guy
Not many guys have wins over Lendl, McEnroe, and Federer in their careers.
Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Michael Chang, and Jim Courier are motivation, inspiration, Hero and Proud Of US and tennis World
what a great player he was we miss you Andre
I wasn't here when he still played, sadly. But man I wish I could play against him competitively. Right now I'm just really hoping to get to the ATP tour before Federer drops out. That would be a dream come true. I also started a youtube channel to show my journey and to share my knowledge. Support would be appreciated!😁🙏🏻
Miami has Andre as the king. Federer has Wimbledon and Djokovic has Australian open. Nadal has Garros, Monte Carlo and Barcelona.
Federer has Wimbledon, US open, cincinatti, and well Nitto ATP finals. I dont think anybody has won more than 5 US
Sampras has 5 US Open titles, too. Yes Halle is Federer's.
Fed has Basel too
@@marloncarbonel1969 doesn't Djokovic have the same number of titles in Miami?
@@sergiosarmiento4371 oh yes they both have 6 titles🤗

That Paris footage from 1995 (and 1999) looks HD. They must have used film rather than video tape?
TennisTV has done a good job restoring the classic matches into near HD, if not HD, quality.
King
3:57 look at Sampras lol
Young Sampras has a strange resemblance to Barack Obama... :D
Every title took a little bit of his hair
Ja ja ja ja!!!!!!
Goran opened up a big ol can o quit!
The video contains 18 match points with the Masters Cup...you should change the title
Este tipo reconocio que se drogaba.
No lo tenian que sacar.
next his slams please
Grand Slams are from ITF, not ATP
Though the slam channels, save for the French Open, are starting to come around with highlights and full replays of past matches. So it's only a matter of time.
Type in Agassi All Eight Slams. There is a video.
I can't believe agassi had so much hair 😂
Rosset kind of looked like Napoleon Dynamite.
No matter what they Say AGASS1 was the best.
Today im glad to witness AGASS1 2,0 ; Novak Djokovic
Why did Ivanisevic give up ? Injury ?
Is there a reason he doesn’t shakes the umpires hands ?
Didn't he win Madrid in 2002?

Doper
Crystal Meth isn't really classed as doping, you dope.
So when you win at tennis, you get a giant vase that I could got at a thrift store for 20 bucks??
I wonder how a prime Agassi would have fared against prime Djokovic.
It depends on the day, but Djokovic is better. Agassi would defo put a fight tho.
Djokovic would win it for sure - maybe it would be close, maybe it wouldn't but said by Nadal Djokovic played the highest level of tennis he ever saw
Prime Djokovic beats anybody he has the highest peak level of all time
@@jonathanterrett Depends on the surface
No comparison, Djokovic is far more athlete, more fast, more complete player, I doubt agassi could last long 5 hours of a tennis match like the Australian open 2012 final. In my opinion Djokovic would have eaten Agassi alive in their prime
Which one is in Carpet?
Sampras is extremely overated compared to Agassi.Agassi at least got Careee Slam while Sampras was bad on clay.
Sampras was and is just overated by this western media like the swiss.
That Swiss has at least 5 titles on 3 different slams and 6 world tour finals. Nadal has only 1 slam where he has 5 titles or more. And how many WTF does Nadal have?😂
Overrated says who? You? Sampras beat all his peers during his era. Winning 14 GS (8 straight seasons with winning at least 1 GS), 11 Masters, 5 YEC and finishing #1 6 straight years is not overrated. No he didn't win career GS, but it doesn't make him overrated. Ask any of his peers during the 90s, and they'll all say Pete was the best of the era, not Andre.
Almost every point his opponent makes a fault. I want to see a proper rally god damn 😂😂😂
Wanna watch rallies? Watch Blake and Agassi 2005 US Open. No one and I mean no one to this day hits the ball as hard as those two. You'll be exhausted after watching. Cheers!
Hell of a player but always kissing up to the crowds in such an insincere phony way! He was desperate for affirmation just like Nole has done the last 10 yrs.
uuuuuh, watch his farewell speech and say again the guy was insincere and phony
The only person who truly knows whether or not his affection was sincere is, in fact, Agassi. Sometimes, I got the impression that he was desperate for the attention that comes with success. It's not my place to proclaim one way or the other. With his upbringing, it seems he had a very emotional connection to the game from a very young age.
bubufubu Fair assessment, however he came to hate the game at one point. He seem to straighten his life out after meeting Steffi his greatest accomplishment on or off the court!
@@maxwelldewinter It's my guess that Agassi hated the game at many different points in his life. I think he had a great deal of trouble embracing it and appreciating how much the game gave back to him. Agassi was a lot better than his stats indicate. His mental peak was from 99 to 2003 and I think Steffi deserves a great deal of credit for that.
Why he is famous? Only 8 GS and 17 Master! For his style?
Are you for real?!
You dumb, yo.
