Federer is the most skilled and talented player ever. There is no doubt about that in my mind.
Federer was so fast back then... My goodness
He is still fast
@@noahrichter6277 you ok?
Yet he lost to Safin next round, who is nowhere near Djokovic or Nadal.
@@alexshah7860 Safin has a big game that when on can beat just about ANYONE. Baby Djokovic was a victim in the first round of this tournament.
@@ManSizeSextet Yes true, but lets be honest Safin is not at the same level of Nadal or Djokovic so whatever level Federer was on in his "prime" of 2005, 06, 07, he could still be beaten by Nadal and especially Djokovic.
My goodness, the court so fast back then.
Not necessarily fast. These two were just some of the most aggressive ball strikers ever.
Peak Fed and imo the greatest tennis ever played for long stretches of 2004-2007
Speed, offense, defense, creativity ALL all time elite at once
Federer is now the old Agassi of 2021. An ancient relic of the past. I hate great ones getting old.
Still he’s beating the crap out of most players x).
Watching Federer play is like a masterful symphony. Very elegant. What a pure talent…!!
1:14 amazing swinging volley from the baseline by agassi and unbelievable pickup by federer. that would have been a winner against other players.
I can only imagine how demoralizing it must be to go against that Federer serve. My goodness.
Finally i can see the ball
Agassi was the greatest returner of that era and he’s getting aced off the court. Worsening the problem is ,Federer is winning most of the rallies from the baseline, easily.
Well, keep in mind Agassi is almost 35 here. Also, his movement is hampered by chronic back problems. Fed is in his physical prime at this moment. Imagine a 25 year old Agassi chasing those balls down and with faster reflexes. Even here, he is losing, but its not a complete blow out.
Agassi was playing with a sciatic nerve back injury from 04 to 06, but he held his ground and didn't get blown out by young prime Roger and Rafa.
This is not the Agassi of 95, or 2000/01
Do those commentators ever shut up they get on your nerves
It's incredible from Roger.
Prime Federer - what a player!
this federer is so fast,so powerful, i can't image djokovic can beat this federer, but safin did it, safin is so underrated,he could have been one of the best of all time
Just passing through on my journey to watch every Federer match.
Every decade the bar is raised.. Agassi just happened to be late due to Sampras, then came Federer.. A youngster will come along and dethrone you
That has already happened and his name is Rafael Nadal! 🤠 🇪🇸 🐂😉
Djokovic lead the head to head record over fed and Nadal.
Literally no ones dethroning the big 3 until they retire
except the last 10 years no youngsters have emerged to dethrone the big 3. it's the weakest era because the young generation have weak mental game due to many distractions like social media and internet.
The youngster is here and his name is Alcaraz, also he plays like Federer
can this Federer beat Djokovic of 2011 or Djoko 2020..in 10 matches it would be Federer 7 Djoko 3 on this AO surface
Obviously 👌
Lol but he cant beat safin
@@DuGongggg Djokovic couldn't either.
@@hernanbusso1609 yea that wasnt prime djokovic. Safin beat prime fed
No chance, Djoker is a much better mover, server and returner than Agassi. Fed looks better here because he has a lot of holes in the court to hit to due Agassi's lack of movement.
I think this was the best T-shirt that Federer has ever worn. I tried to collect it so much but could never manage one :( Does anyone have any site that houses these old tennis stuff?
EBay
@@ertugrulkorpinar51 Thanks brother. But I could not trace it there. Can you please forward me the link of the t-shirt?
Utsav Goswami i will check
@@ertugrulkorpinar51 Please do let me know if you do find.
I think the more iconic one was the red shirt he used after this AO. The one he used for the sunshine double and clay-court season in 05.
Federer performance was pure talent. What a performance…!!
federer of 2005 was simply awesome.
After this match, Agassi said "Tell the other guys in the locker room, I don't have any suggestions. I don't know what to do against Federer.".. But at least Safin beat Federer in the next round and won the Australian that year. Federer also beat Agassi in the US Open final that year.
Feds is the michael jordan of tennis...
I wish Agassi was more comfortable going big on the run. Would have given him a few wins over Rogi if he didn't try to rally so much.
If agassi could serve like fed, Agassi may win
Man you could see Agassi aging here. He was shell of himself
Agassi wasn't half bad here - actually held his own against Prime Fed pretty well. It's just that he couldn't get much of the Fed serve in this match. He would do better at the US Open that year, however.
@@boke75 Made it to the final at the 2005 open against him! I recall Cahill and agassi saying they went too lean in the off season with their training and tried to outhit federer in this match.....it went, poorly.... haha
@@poisenopinionator Yeah, I remember seeing this match live on ESPN. Most of the commentary regarding Federer's win over Agassi here was like what you said, and something along the lines of Andre having been too "pumped up" for this encounter w/Fed. But this was actually a pretty good match, in spite of it being a straight-set's win for Roger. There was another match like this one as well, I think in Miami maybe in the same year, where Andre had a few big break chances but came up just short, and it was another straight-setter for Roger, something like 6-4, 6-3. But the match stats were impressive all the same.
He might have been drained from his previous match with Johansson
Definitely past his prime here. Federer had something to do with that. Nadal also made a name for himself later that year too. Agassi was still a top 10 player this year though.
Hard to believe he lost his next match.
Ridiculous how fast this court looks. Compare this highlights to some hightlights from Australia now, it's dissapointing really.
Federer was lucky, very lucky in his prime
