  • In this May 2024 nursery tour of Floradise Orchids, you will witness the LARGEST Vanda orchid I have ever seen! There must have been over 20 spikes and dozens of flowers!
In this tour, I highlighted the Miltonias, Masdevallias, Paphiopedilums and Phragmipediums in bloom in the spring. I can honestly say the blooms at Floradise this month are absolutely stunning!
For over three decades, Janet Cherchuck & Stephen Shifflett have been providing the DC / Charlottesville / Richmond region with premium orchids and expert advice from their greenhouse in Gordonsville, VA.

Only one year so far? I thought from the frog channel that you've known about orchids for a while. 🤔
5:06 25ft?! 🤯 I thought the Tiger Orchid I saw last year at a local garden center was huge...
6:28 First time for me to see a vanda like this...lots of spikes and roots...
12:33 These Miltoniopsis look like they're in great shape. A local garden center I usually go to had a bunch, but they were falling out of the pots. I added some leca to the mix and it's making new roots and set of leaves.
    21:24 Was that a schilleriana?
21:48 Odontoglossum (Used Google Lens again)
    22:22 Maybe a Beallara?
25:20 Hirsutissimum (Google Lens) just like you guessed. 😄

@@OrchidsByBryan I think your Mom was collecting them because I remember seeing a video with the Nelly Isler (Burregeara).

@@Joe-nj3bb yes! That’s right! She had a few orchids too! She had a bulbophyllum and some cattleyas too!
