I'm happy to finally see this compilation! Thank you guys! I am disappointed that it became very toxic - judges called it as they saw it and I agree with them. Robin brought something totally new, totally unexpected... but so did Kristof in his own way. Having your opinion is good but being toxic about it won't change the result and it will hurt people along the way which is just wrong. Please stay positive everyone! I started following the beatboxing scene only a few months ago and the hype is there. It's important to keep this up and support the artists as well as the organizers and judges.
If your going to comment something salty, just don't. It doesn't matter who you think won, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But kristof won for the judges and at the end of the day, they're the ones who matter. We don't need controversy in this community

@@liamnelly Robin won, by a landslide !! But they gotta give the armatures a win one day. Robin was far more superior in all his rounds. He took the loop station to a new level. Also, christoff had to use external devices to make his music which doesn't even make it a loopstation anymore, it's percussions.
10:22 kristof is using a track effects knob while recording input to track3? Is it using midi to control a filter on the helix or is it able to affect the incoming sound while recording?
I can say that I like Robin more. Kristof does have the greater mastery of the machine and maybe a better understanding of composition. It kind of reminds me of the difference between Saro and MB14 back in the day. Saro was better but MB was more interesting. Kristof's sound control is crazy though.
Now that I've heard all his music, it indeed is design wise flawless. However, except the final 2 songs nothing stands out as exceptional. I mean technically and sound design wise as I said flawless but would I save it on my playlist to listen again, absolutely not.
I agree that he has amazing control over the machine and sound in general, but I also don't feel like I heard much outside of what saro was doing years ago. Perfect execution without enginuity isn't what I'm into.
