Both of you have a level of resilience and ability to joke & laugh through it all that amazes me… I hope it gets easier, but something tells me you’ll keep going regardless
I show Cannibal the musical on the snow camp bus. It hits all the needed skills in regard to snow camping: navigation, frost bite, group dynamics, cannibalism’…
Discretion, better part of valor, and all that! Unlike hiking where you can just hunker down near a tree, canoeing over a big lake with that much wind is just too dangerous. Excellent decision! Paddle on! (Only when you can!) Tortoise P.S. Like Taters, I may end up having nightmares about the ticks and mosquitos. Wow. You guys are really tough!
Good decision. As long as you wake up alive the next morning, you didn't screw up too bad. I was told this by a WWII vet when I went through boot camp 50 years ago. It helps keep all problems in perspective. Happy Paddling. Good Luck, Rick
Apparently nobody told you that Minnesota's honorary state bird is the mosquito. Was born and raised in MN so I understand the pain with the insects. It can be relentless.
Oh my gosh I LOVE mass effect!!! I play through all 3 every summer. Here’s the real question everyone wants to know: who are here romantic interests in each game? And is she a paragon? Enjoying my incredible lack of mosquitoes in AZ👍🏼❤️
Jen played FemShep and is currently in denial that she did an evil play through. So if you hear me commenting in the back about how she murdered the space UN that’s what that is about. Also she saved Kaiden. I think Taters might be a psychopath.
I feel like denial just comes with the territory for anyone who chooses to save Kaiden. I don’t even look at Kaiden bc I know he’s a doomed soul. Liara is ICONIC, but the heart wants what the heart wants😂😂
Hey Matt, look on the up side, at least your feet and your achilles aren't playing up!! All credit to you guys, I've known tough army guys who would have jacked it in by now, the mossies and ticks can make life very uncomfortable, keep up the great work!!
We bought a Nemo Hornet Osmo 3p since trekking pole tent didn’t make sense for this and I have a major grudge against Big Agnes’s and the Tiger Wall after the last few years
I thought that's what it was. I bought the Dragonfly 3p cheap earlier this year when the Osmos first came out. My wife and I slept in it 20 nights last month and really like it.
Ahhh coffee with bonus proteins. You don't have to worry about the end of the world until you get the waters parting and a bunch frogs invade your camp site
At least you guys finally put on your PFDs. 👍

Can’t sweat the small (-ish) stuff :)
Lake Winni is a beautiful area! Used to deer hunt about 30 minutes north of there, outside of Northome. Have a safe trip!
"crazy lady hair" 😂😂😂 you guys are so resilient! not sure I would be so tough with the hoards of mosquitoes and ticks!
Thermacell dude. You guys will be amazed
Orgazmo and Cannibal: The Musical were comedy gold by Trey Parker and Matt Stone! Also, awesome video

Coffee mosquito soup! A Minnesota favorite!

Like I was telling my mother I seem to have found a hobby where stubbornness is a big advantage :)
Stay safe!!
I feel itchy just from watching this 🦟🦟🦟
You truly are Adventurers, nothing can stop you !

Omg you guys are soldiers. Be safe
Wow you two are tougher than i would be. May your journey continue with less m+ t's and safe paddlings.
Just insane bugs!! You both are troopers. Congrats on 5K subs also. 👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks, wimps hehe. ✌🏻👊🏼
I have made a dicision : if i ever would go hiking in Minnesota i will not use my tarp ! Good dicision to keep it safe.
Pretty sure a cowboy camping attempt of the headwaters would be over faster than Dixie’s Azt thing…
🤣🤣
Love

“On the positive note”, with the wind the mosquitoes didn’t get you 😂
But the ticks could become airborne…
I think I would rather camp near rabbid Rottweilers than mosquitoes near that level !!
Great decision guys. Live for another day
A heck of a way to say good morning. That lantern I mentioned I wonder if so many mosquitoes came to it would it clog the lantern? Maybe.

She also picked Liara for all games but somehow banged Jarvik during the Citadel DLC…

Yes but unfortunately I’ve had a bit of an issue with my shoulder. Because of course…
A little extra protein in your coffee😏 🦟
Which Nemo tent are you using for this trip?
We bought a Nemo Hornet Osmo 3p since trekking pole tent didn’t make sense for this and I have a major grudge against Big Agnes’s and the Tiger Wall after the last few years
I thought that's what it was. I bought the Dragonfly 3p cheap earlier this year when the Osmos first came out. My wife and I slept in it 20 nights last month and really like it.
Looks like you were getting clear skies at night. Have you considered overnight time lapse?
That sounds like it would require being outside of the tent in the mosquito hordes… :) Also I don’t have a hiking tripod
you should fab up a steam gun to battle the insects - you really need one of those co2 traps
The mosquitos and ticks are my nightmare.
Yep...definitely convinced that I will NEVER follow in your paddle strokes...EGADS!
Maybe the skeeters there ate the ticks ...
A thermacell would help keep the pesky mosquitoes at bay
Ahhh coffee with bonus proteins. You don't have to worry about the end of the world until you get the waters parting and a bunch frogs invade your camp site
Orgasmo is a brilliant movie :D
Discretion is the better part of valor...
Mn mosquitoes don't care for you 😢
