There’s lots of movies that I think suck but I wouldn’t wait until the cast, director and producers were in front of an audience to hurl “this movie sucks” at them. It was done to make a spectacle and embarrass them. It’s childish and disrespectful.
Alyssa and the entire cast and crew did an outstanding Evil Dead job! Saw Evil Dead Rise last Sat. after seeing the first two trailers two months prior release. Then the Evil Dead Rise Q&A interviews turn up on my RUclips feed 3 - 7 days later. Weird.

my favorite in horror series (evil dead) ulimited love # india ..i love hollywood horror movies .. i clearly tell 1 thing here i love hollywood like horror and super heros movies bcox next level vfx , acting , best story line,dilogs , actions ,mystery and logicaly script etc i feel so realastic while watching movies (conguring ,evil dead 2013, exorscisum of emilly rose , the nun ) etc ... ❤️ thats y hollywood movies are always value for money ❤️ .. i stop watching bollywood movies from 2010
I enjoyed this movie, its a good addition to the franchise and I look forward to more. Maybe a little more character development next time though if they are going to be standalone movies, make us more invested in the welfare of the characters. It's a toss up between the remake in 2013 and Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn as my favourites still.

It IS a shit film though. It expands on nothing, it adds nothing, it explains nothing it's an approx. 90 min effects shot with dialogue.
It added to the lore that there was once a priest who had attempted to use the Necromonicon to try to fight evil, and you can hear Ash's voice in the big book reading scene, so he's somewhere time traveling around when that happened...it also added I think that there are actually a few copies or something of the Necronomicon Ex Mortis around the Earth...
Ggiven that it actually expands on a lot.. personally, I would lead with "it barely adds anything" or something. Be a bit less absolutist about it.

Why do they have to throw the line "lead by women"? we get it. Women can be strong, too. It's getting annoying that this is what they have to push in movies now. Let the story organically show us this, rather than force feed us this information.
I agree things like strong female character or female lead can be annoying however i understand wanting that to be a part of the character. So long as thats not the characters only defining feature i think its ok to include that.
Better question is, why does it bother you so much?
For most of cinematic history, female lead was not a thing. Sure you can cherry pick a few things here and there, and Ellen Ripley is still the best, but man... Ladies are finally getting a chance to shine these last few years. So deal man.

I rarely rewatch movies. I'm going to rewatch this movie probably a few times throughout the rest of my life 30~ years left. Given there's a significant minority that really likes the Evil Dead "remake", it will be the same with this movie.

First off, the Evil dead 2013 movie is light-years all around better than this movie! This movie was a over hyped piece of trash! If some of you folks take of your rose tinted glasses you would realize this was a really generic ass possession movie! The acting/dialogue was terrible from the main sister character and all of the kids. The kills were just boring and forgettable. The movie also had no tension or suspense at all. The family dynamic was just the worst in the movie because none of the characters acted or reacted like a real family. You would think family members in a insane situation like this would do more than just stand there stare and just pant heavily like some dehydrated dog! There were no emotions or feelings towards their loved ones at all in this movie. It felt like they were just mildly irritated during all of the insanity going on all around them. Dont even try to use that "they were in shock" crap as an excuse for this garbage. Also the youngest daughter felt like she was in a CW drama instead of a horror movie. You mother is now a damn demon trying to kill you but you have the wherewithal to tell your aunt she will make a great mother someday because she knows how to lie to kids? Man wtf, why was that nonsense coming from a 9 year child in a situation like this? This movie sucked and I was extremely disappointed!
