Casey, it's difficult finding the words for my gratitude. I've been using Premiere Pro CS/5 for a while in a very novice way (I'm not good at this stuff), but needed to upgrade to handle H.265 and other things. Moved to Resolve. Initially, I was completely amazed at how they can provide such a brilliant, full-featured program for free, but it was also the beginning of a massive learning curve and many things aren't exactly intuitive. I've watched several tutorials, but most don't work for me. However, yours do. You're a born teacher with the way you explain things and now when I want to find out something about Resolve I head straight to your channel. I still have a long way to go, but you've helped me get started. Thank you so much!

Thanks Casey! I'm not very familiar with the color page and this tutorial taught me a lot. One thing that would be interesting would be to do the same blurring using the fusion page. You mentioned that the fusion solution is more complicated but it would be nice to see exactly how much more complicated it is.

Ciao Casey, I discovered Resolve a couple of months ago because I'd like to have something not expensive for editing videos for a project in my future. So I'm new in this video editing world. I'm following randomly your tutorials and every time I see one of them I can't believe that "free" software is able to do things like the one in this video. (by the way, I bought the studio version and I get also the speed editor for free) I'm not English mother tongue so I need subtitles some time. But you are very clear when you explain step by step to get the goal. You said at the end "I'm a child", well, you know what, I'm a child too because I was all time long with an open mouth while I was following this tutorial. 😮Good job. You are amazing 😉

Blurs can be reconstructed (I forgot what program, but there was one that used suuuper simple math that gave an almost perfect image back), so if you're unsure if it needs to be super confidencial use a black box instead
