All the desserts looked really tasty! I'd really like to try Hokkaido ice cream and the amazake seems interesting. And the steamed buns looked a like great snack to warm you up while on your journey. But my favorite dish of this video was the uni don. So much fresh uni on it!
Way to represent Canada in Japan. I have the same mittens back from the 2010 Olympics. Love your videos. You are my favorite food vlogger on RUclips. Keep up the good work!
Japan in the winter looks absolutely *MAGICAL* and we want to visit Japan so badly! Looks like there is so much to see (and taste) when visiting, really well done video! 😊 🇯🇵
That uni bowl looks fantastic that is my favorite whenever I get sushi or sashimi 🍣 I say it every time, Shizuka you are always fantastic. I really enjoy these videos and wish I was there, Japanese food is my favorite.
Beautiful town. Thanks for exploring it and showing it to us. Hope my wife and I can come back to Japan later in 2022! (I've been to Japan seven wonderful times over several decades: two military, four work, one vacation). Will try to travel north this time.
As always a great shizuka vlog Love the light flurries What no ice-cream ? Shizuka being Canadian should have no problem having some ! Unless it is -20 at time of filming ? 😉 Santa’s beard looked delicious
This has quite a lot to do with the history actually. In the early 1900s, sheep were used for wool mainly. Over time, there were more sheeps imported to Hokkaido. With more and more sheep, people needed to find different ways to utilize the sheep, not just for the wool, but for consumption too. It was not common to eat mutton or lamb meat as the meat has quite a distinct smell. Genghis Khan was one of the first recipes using mutton meat and eventually became one of Hokkaido's most favorite soul foods.
Sea urchin fishy aftertaste is already oxidation. Sea urchin is like oysters, oxidation starts immediately and best only opened when being served. Markets would be perfect for eating sea urchin.
The UK could have as good seafood as Japan but we allowed the EU to destroy fish stocks, export it all and destroyed the habitats ourselves (particularly oysters and eels).
Which food was your favorite?
私は1つだけを選ぶことはできません、それらはすべて素晴らしく見えました!❄️ 雪に覆われた雰囲気が大好きで、日本が提供する素晴らしい食べ物を見せてくれてありがとう!
I’d eat everything lol

Being "forced" to eat ice cream whilst walking through a snow covered, ice-cold city ? Just blink twice if you want us to rescue you Shizuka ! ^_^
Fortunately, Shizuka did it willingly :D We did not force her...or did we?
❤️❤️❤️
Are you going to mire "Shizuku Buns"?
Hokkaido has all my fav food. Not sure if I asked this before, it seems like khan BBQ is good because I seen it often, how did it become so popular?

i was wondering where ive heard double fromage from, then i remembered it was from Dexter's Laboratory lol
will someone explain to me why there are so many ways to pay at 7:00 are those all different apps? what makes them different? seems strange.
Some of the e-money apps are created by phone carrier companies, some by banks and some are used mainly by visitors from China. It is quite a lot :D
Did you received the love letter 😁😁😁
Ice cream in snow huh who would thought? Lol
Surprisingly, we were not the only ones haha
Sea urchin fishy aftertaste is already oxidation. Sea urchin is like oysters, oxidation starts immediately and best only opened when being served. Markets would be perfect for eating sea urchin.
Very nice explanation!
Hi. Imma dorayaki with hokkaido milk. 😊
What is it like chewing sea urchin
It is quite creamy so it feels like it melts on your tongue :)
😍
I like you very much just as you are. 好き〜っっつ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for watching!
The UK could have as good seafood as Japan but we allowed the EU to destroy fish stocks, export it all and destroyed the habitats ourselves (particularly oysters and eels).
Shizzy is acting like a little kid in the seafood market before consuming over I assume over USD$100 worth of uni into her stomach!
Fortunately, it was cost us less :D
everytime i read "double" im going to pronounce it as "dooblah"
Yessss!
