Armor Tail is going to be so good. Complete immunity to sucker punch, prankster, and fake out, and it only has two weaknesses anyway. If it has stats like Wyrdeer it will be a monster competitively
Eh, Queenly Magesty and Dazzling are already in the game, and they're not suuuper impactful. But Farigiraf's stats will deff determine if he's worth running.
double stat boosting berry with the other ability would be sick too
While its typing could allow it to be a wonderful user of that style of ability, we'll see if it has the stat spread to make it useful. That Cud Chew ability is what's exciting to me. double pinch berries, or even just double sitrus berry if it's defensive, could be great.

Assuming that Klawf doesn't have a hard lower limit on its HP in the fight in the trailer, Tera Blast is actually probably really weak. The drifblim is getting effectively 3x damage (1.5x from STAB, 2x from super effective) on the attack, and it only did about twice as much as Icy Wind did, which is only 55 bp.
On the other hand, there was a cut scene with the Klawf running away after that happened, so I would think that it had a hard lower limit on what its hp could get to in that particular fight.

Upon counting the pixels the Quaxly tera water aqua jet was 2x stronger than the normal aqua jet. Factoring in damage rolls the tera boost on a type that is the same as your normal type is 2.5-3x which is considerably stronger than adaptability which is 2x
Yeah cause since Quaxly's terra type is water, and its already a water type, it gets STAB twice. Correct me if I'm wrong, but stab is a x1.5 multiplier, right? So in that case, since tera gives an additional STAB, that's an extra x1.5 multiplier, equaling to a whole x3 multiplier on water moves. Which is honestly broken af.
@@gryphon4150 1.5 times 1.5 equals 2.25, not 3. The amount of damage quaxly has after it terastallizes is double that of when it wasn't, terastallizing has to give a 2 times multiplier on top of stab
@@yaboipaps9938 So, I just did the math, and you right. Take both STABS and put them together and Aqua Jet Base Power goes from 40 to 80. So it's doubled instead of tripled like I was initially thinking.
I think: same-type tera gets 2.25 STAB; new type tera gets standard STAB for its new type but obviously loses their old STAB. Kind of a defensive and offensive split between them
Chansey with Steel Type tera sounds fun.

Assuming terra pkmn are rare, chancey is usually super rare, and it could have any of the 17 other types, the grind already sounds soul sucking.

27:36 theres a new pokemon in the background on the left behind the camera options and in between the "reset camera" and "point camera" options.

I believe one of the pokemon at 22:11 is just a measly torkoal. Not sure what the other one is but I wouldn't look too deep into it tbh.
It's hard to tell how powerful tera blast is, since Klalf seems to have either low HP or low SpDef, and the grass terra blast was super effective. I think it is at least 50 base power by the damage rolls, but we do not know how good or bad those damage rolls were, so it is hard to tell.
To add on top, it sounded like it was part of a side quest, so I think the hp had a hard lock on it before it ran

Nice to know I'm not the only one who thinks that Haryiama is sus af.. That is either the most drastic shadow effect I have seen, or that's no ordinary Haryiama. Not even Gardevoir, or Pikachu have that drastic of a shadow effect.
Mental herb Farigiraf to set up trick room. You can't fake it out because of Armor Tail. The herb will prevent the taunt. You can terastilize to resist any strong dark or bug-type move.
Fighting type resists both
but something paired with indeedee works better, even tsareena pulls this off as a partner

Yeah, but since the klawf ran away, it's easy to guess that it had a percentage of hp that it wouldn't go below.

The new Tera mechanic reminds me of Crystal pokémon, how there was in the TCG. The pokémon were originally colorless, or normal type in game logic, but their ability was that they could change type depending on the energy attached to it. Essentially, a Terrastallized pokémon. Can’t wait to play this game

I'm really excited about the Girafarig evolution, but have absolutely no faith that it'll have good stats. Definitely looks like another pokemon co. attempt to convince us that mixed attackers are viable (going to have decent atk and sp atk, and then not enough speed or bulk to be useful).

If you take a look at that screen you can see that the player's LP, it's over 9000 (heheh) pts. So assuming this is early gameplay, they might be pretty easy to obtain
