I find it crazy that they are doing gen 8 pokemon forms already!
For some reason i always thought there would need to be a gap in gens for that to happen.Paradox Raikou didnt
look that great in the footage but the artwork really fixes up the topheavy look of it.
They're not forms, they're evolutions. There's never been a rule for a "gap" for evolutions. Gen 4 had a bunch of gen 3 evolutions for example.
even the Duralodon evolution looked great in the artwork. In the video, it looked atrocious imo. same with Raikou
Gen 2 had a ton of Gen 1 evolutions and Gen 4 had several Gen 3 evolutions.
It's not that weird for Gen 9 to have Gen 8 evolutions, then. It's just been a while since a Gen introduced new evos for the prior Gen is all.
The art is a cool storm giraff with the mane being a cloud and the neck being the lighting bolt but then in game it looks like if it ran faster than the average child it's head would get caught in the wind then tip over.

When I first saw Perrin, for some reason I thought she looked like Shamir from 'Fire Emblem: Three Houses'. But that's a good thing for me.
I'm calling it now, Perrin is gonna be the breakout character for the fans. The dam of R34 art must've already been broken when she was revealed.

i just came back a few days ago from japan and got a miraidon plushie from the pokemon center funny how they have both the bike form and normal form and I guess koraidon's arms were movable so I saw a T-posing koraidon. oof.

Cobalion is one of my most love hate designs where I I love the pokemon but little details about it seem off and was soooo worried we'd just get metal Cobalion but I Loved what they did is just a better version of the original with a hair flip.

The long neck Raikou is so good!
- Path to the Peak's animation style reminds me of Bidoof's Big Stand. Shared staff, maybe?
- Hey, Detective Pikachu's expressions aren't near as uncanny as the early production pictures (for the first game).
- Yup, each set of shoes represents a region of Pokemon in GO - Kanto (Red/Green), Johto (Gold/Silver), Hoenn (Ruby/Sapphire), Sinnoh (Diamond/Pearl), Unova (Black/White), Kalos (X/Y), Alola (Sun/Moon), Galar (Sword/Shield), Hisui (Legends: Arceus), and of course Paldea (Scarlet/Violet).
- Mewtwo X is a physical All-Arounder, with a focus on close/mid-range attacks and defense-boosting. I'm guessing, then, that Mewtwo Y is a special Attacker.
- Erm...me. Without fund-spending, of course.

- That's right, Applin can now evolve into one of three different apple treats - an apple turnover, a candy apple, and...a half-eaten apple. Anyway, Dipplin's Ability is a Sweet Scent on entry, and its Syrup Bomb attack makes the target gradually lose Speed for a few turns.
- Nothing is said exactly about the Pokemon that Perrin is looking for. Guess it'll remain a complete mystery until mid-September...
- Base points are EVs, remember? I think the name was officialized in Sword/Shield.

- Archaludon's new move is Electro Shot. It takes two turns to execute, but its first turn also boosts its Special Attack, and rain can make it attack right away.
(There are two cable bridges in Iberia that are likely inspirations for its design.)
- Raging Bolt, a sauropod-Raikou, and Iron Crown, a whip-horned robo-Cobalion. It's only a matter of time before we see Paradoxes of Entei and Terrakion...Though this could mean the fusions in the "Imagined Pokemon" pages might not be actual Pokemon, but rather inspirations for these Paradox trios.

Duraladon and Applin were my favorite dragon types from sword and shield. I was excited to learn they are getting evolutions. Dipplin is a new of evolution of Applin

I tried playing the TCG Pokémon game on the computer XD, but that was hard to try and understand!
Also, the CGI characters…! Ugh! It’s like if Ash and the others were bootleg characters!
Even though I don't have a switch, I still want to try the DLC myself for sure!

few things i would like to comment on:
Briar i belive is sister of the grass type gym leader.
Adaman (from Legends Arceus) is the ancestor of Perrin the photographer.
Fresh-Start Mochi is the most valuable Mochi out there in my opinion since it's so annoying and time consuming to gather EV reducing berries (once i hunt down a shiny i want to use it in battle, especially if i got lucky and also have it with a special mark - now reseting its EV's is troublesome so either i try to get another shiny that i would keep with different EV spread or i must suffer with constant berry sniffing around). In other words this is huge improvement - you no longer need to breed or find perfect IV or hyper train new mon of the same species just because their EV's weren't ideal for your new team concept. I was hoping for berry shop tbf but these Fresh Start Mochi seems better, so i am hyped for that!
Eviolite Duraludon will be amazing.
Paradox Raikou looks weird but they made him like that propably just for the sake of making him dragon/electric type.
Iron Crown (Paradox Cobalion) looks amazing but only in motion when his horns get extra glow. Propably will be Steel/Psychic (Iron Leaves changed fighting type to psychic and i belive all of the trios will follow the same principle of having the same shared type).
When the narrator says the power of flight is temporary for your ride legendary and that it maybe permanent in the future perhaps (?) i assume it's either hint that we will get another DLC when it becomes the thing (also because Paradox Entei and Terrakion are yet to be added (?)) or it's the thing that happen at the end of the main questline (post game exploration freedom). Wathever the case, it seems super cool!
Something youtubers who react to the videos didn't notice is that there is a WILD Bastiodon, wich means in this area we can CAPTURE FOSSILS, for the first time ever (no need to bring fossils back to live)! You can officially shiny hunt them with herba mistica food! I would love me some Dracovishes in the wild but i doubt they exist as wild specimiens (they are the result of messed up experiment) BUT maybe we will see their original forms (doubt again but hey we can dream!).
Something else that would be hype if it were real:
Noctowl evolution, Mightyena evolution, Arboks evolution. We saw Noctowl and Hoothoot as well as Poochyena and Ekans in this DLC news and they aren't very hype pokemon (unlike Trevenant who is already solid in competitive plays). I assume they wanted to show them to us to give us hint something cool might happen to them (evolutions).
I am glad that they giving normal mons new evolutions without limiting them to regional variants only and while i get that normal Linoone is already strong with Belly Drum + Extremespeed so it shouldn't get access to stronger form that could also do that trick but better.... i still hope for water/poison Qwilfish and normaly/flying Farfetch'd to evolve (they don't have to be water/posion Overqwil and normal/flying Sirfetch'd, no. Give them different evolutions with different names but make them evolve!). Girafarig got it right and evolves normally (and looks cool), same for Dunsparce (even if it looks meh) and we need more of these. Ursaluna was unexpected but welcome and Stantler definetly needed to evolve. Still weird how it's limited to past games but hopefully FOR NOW. Inb4 they introduce an item that awaken the pokemon ancient genes and make them evovle without the need to swap between games.
And let's not forget that blue and red stripper Basculin are still without evolution! Why they made white stripped basculin for? I just hope they will eventually evolve into different stripe/shape and diferent stats Basculegions. Of course these are just hopes and dreams for potential gen 10. I doubt they would do that so early (so not gonna happen in these DLC's).
I mean, most fossils have been catchable at some point, usually in a safari feature or other side feature. The Galar fossils were huntable in raids with many others in SwSh DLC and a few spawned in the wild like Archen.
Just figured it was worth pointing out but most were locked behind side features so stilla fully valid point.
They made Raikou like that because he's a sauropod, specifically a Brontosaurus which means Thunder Lizard. It's a pun/joke.
Since Suicune's is based on therapods, your T-Rex's and the like. I'm assuming if we get an Entei one then it's going to be a ceratopsian, Triceratops etc.
Why aren't we getting gen 6 or gen 4 forms?

theyre more like the feathers or vitamins, in that theyre base stat boosters. im just happy theres an easy instant-reset mochi so i dont have to go stat-lowering berry hunting anymore lmao

@@JoeVO24 so a Pokemon with Overall max EVs would only be able to use the reset mochi. I will keep that in mind for Pokemon who are at overall max EVs without having two maximum states.

No, Pseudo legendaries are always 3 stage lines, Duraludon and Archaludon are only 2 stage, also they wouldn’t release a pseudo legendary in a later generation being an evolution of a old Pokémon

Shield & Sword gave us potential of variants to legends skip a gen and they have wrecked what little credibility virizion and cobalion had that movie wrecked the rest. raikou and suicune they have destroyed if walking wake was our comparison to galarian articuno and raging bolt is the comparison to galarian zapdos i'm scared for entei because it has to get compared to arguable the best gaalrian form made.
Luke, all of us who may miss the whole stream would probably be interested in things you've cut out. Maybe time staps will be better overall good for future streams you leave up.
