... can you explain the utility of angling away before turning into a parking spot? This makes no sense to me. Is it not better to move as far away as possible to the opposite side and start turning in when you are perpendicular to the parking spot?
Can you do a video on how to reverse bay park into a space please? Your driving instruction video is one of the best I have found on the internet. I find one of the hardest thing about driving is knowing where your car is relative to other obstacles pillars, sidewalks, other cars and maneuvering around them. Your technique is very very helpful.

Good to know. One way in which problems can arise though is when you're looking for a parking spot at night in a parking lot. Unless the lot is well lit, you can get too close to the parking spot before you see it and have room to swing out first. The last time this happened to me, I would have needed to back up first to swing out. But there was at least one car behind me and I knew I couldn't back up without asking the other drivers to do so first. Even though it was the last available parking spot I could find and even though it was our Christmas Party club meeting, I didn't want to risk making the other drivers mad at me and possibly refuse to back up. So I kept going and missed the meeting that night. What a disappointment it was and I don't think I'd do the same thing again. I could have at least asked them if they'd back up. If they'd said no, then I could have said no to going any further. Then watch the horn honking begin.

In that situation, if there is room for the cars behind you to go around you, I would stop and signal that I was intending to park there and wait for the other cars to pass before starting the maneuver.
I tried this but when i tried to park in between the car im afraid that i am too close to the car in between the empty spot. I feel like the front of my car is going to bump into the car next to the spot 😞
Centering with the center of the empty slot. From experience, I believe being familiar with one's cars spatial aspects with passage of time reduces reliance on rigid reference points.
Yes, align your right shoulder in the middle of parking lines…keep your foot on the brake….turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, slowly lift off brake…parallel until car is straight…look underneath both under casings of your side mirrors to go forward until you have cleared on both sides of the under casings about two to three inches passed the curd or white or yellow line you are parking up against…put your gear shift into park, then set your e-brake, or emergency brake, then turn the steering wheel one and half resolutions to have your wheels straight.
Not me telling my father to wait on the curb next to the airport entrance so I can pick him up from there so I don't have to enter the parking lot and park 😅😅
Great video! My question is if I'm turning left into a spot, how can I make sure that my right front bumper doesn't scratch the car on the right? That end of the car is so hard to gauge and when people don't park centered in their lane it makes it tricky to park in a tight spot. Any tips on gauging where the front right bumper is? (I'm a US driver so steering wheel is on the left)
As you are forwarding driving into your stall, how do you tell the distance between your car and the cars next to you? From the video, it seems that your car has already hit them, but of course you haven't. But how to tell the distance from the perspective of the driver? That's the most difficult thing for me.
Judging distances can be tricky, especially for new drivers. One tip is to use reference points on the car, like the side mirrors or the lines on the parking space. Also, practice in an empty parking lot to get a feel for it. It takes time, but you'll get the hang of it! 🚗🅿️
Is she in a suv though? that would change the reference points like the mirror in middle of previous cars license plate etc. It looks good though. I like how she explained things and her demeanor
This type of parking stresses me out more than parallel specially on a busy mall parking lot. Alteast in a parallel park, you wont be concerned about the distance of your door to the car beside you.

If there is no car how we can align with center of the car?

she was getting to the point that its hard to maneuver
You didn't show us how to park at the right side , because the car is closer from the parked cars
