You could have put anyone behind that great offensive line for KC in the early 2000s and they would have great success. Charles averaged 5.5 yards per carry for chiefs teams that did not have anywhere close to the elite level of play as those early 2000s lineman.

      Eli still barely managed to win 5 of 8 games by 4 points or less on lucky last second plays. 2 of those 5 went to overtime in which Eli was 100% a non factor on the game winning drive that he was given credit for.

      He had 16 years to compile totals. But, what about his average attempt? His TD % (TDs/100 attempts) isn't in the top 70 all time. His yards/attempt are not in.... Well, I would tell you but, the list I looked at only went up to 90 and Eli was not close to appearing.
      In 2018, I did a comparison of Eli to Ben Roethlisberger. BR had more yards and more TDs on EIGHT HUNDRED AND FOUR FEWER attempts than Eli. Philip RIvers had NINE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY TWO FEWER attempts to have more TDs and slightly fewer yards.
      Aaron Rodgers had more than 100 more TDs than Eli on ONE THOUSAND FEWER ATTEMPTS.

    This was a great idea for a video. Wanted to wait a bit to see the comments before I shared mine. Surprised the 49ers came up first, but since I'm a fan I'd say you pretty much nailed it. When combining just player talent in addition to accolades they all stack up nicely. Montana, Lott, and Rice are/were perceived as the best to ever play at their position. Pretty remarkable they all played together for a number of years too. Can't really say that about any of the other Rushmore selections. Patrick Willis, and Jimmy Johnson are probably to me the hardest ones to have been left out of the top 4.

    Bucs fan here. Personally, my Buccaneers Mt. Rushmore is Brooks, Selmon, Barber and Evans. I'm of course a fan of Sapp, Lynch, Alsott and Levonte. All are all time players, but here's my justification: Selmon represented greatest when there wasn't much to celebrate. He was our first great star, and will always be our first HOFer. Brooks is the greatest player in Bucs history, and is one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history. Nuff said. Barber is a legend for what he gave to the team in the 02 season, and as a leader of the team both during his playing days, and afterwards. He's still heavily involved and loved. And it doesn't hurt that he's one of the greatest defensive backs, certainly during his generation. And finally, Mike Evans represents the latest era, and most recent Super Bowl. He is the greatest offensive player in franchise history, a future HOFer, and one of the greatest leaders in team history. And he's one of the best WRs of his generation. Not much else to say about that!

    Picking just four players is hard, especially for a lot of the older teams. I tried to do this with the NHL and ended up splitting teams based on era-for the NFL, you could probably do something like pre-Super Bowl era (1920-65), dynasty era (1966-1998), and modern era (1999-).

      I looked at those 4 they picked. There's a lot of teams on here where im like, that's recency bias, its not the right pick. But with Detroit I think they had a difficult choice. I would personally remove Johnson and put Lane in for what Lane did but let me tell you, I really wouldn't feel good about doing it.
      I'm convinced whoever picked the 4 for each team must've been a different person because again, the Lions is one of those where I found it legitimately difficult to take people out or put another guy in.

    4. J. Taylor(had the shiftiness, moves, toughness, and speed to do it all--4.67 40 YD dash doesn't do him justice, because he once beat Deion to the end zone)
    5. Dwight Clark(number 1 option right before Rice made it big--for first 2 championship teams)
    6. Solomon(4.25 40-YD dash and the deep threat for the 1st 2 49er SB teams)

    LB(OLB and ILB):

    Wilcox(OLB)-->(S1)(HOFer)
    Warner(ILB)-->(S2)
    Bowman(ILB)-->(B)
    Haley(OLB)-->(S2)(HOFer)
    Aldon Smith([OLB]-->49ers have run 4-3 and 3-4. Smith is your answer to L. Taylor and D. Thomas--situational)-->(B)
    CB:
    2. Wright(one of the 80s very best, possibly the best of that decade)
    1. Johnson(70s All-decade)(HOFer)
    3. A. Woodson
    4. Kermit Alexander(36 INTs in 7 seasons as a 49er)
    5. T. McKyer
    6. E. Davis
    S:

    Hanks(FS)-->(S)

    K/P
    Nedney
    Andy Lee
    Returners:
    A. Woodson(KR/PR)
    J. Taylor(PR/KR)
    And, I did not include the 1 or 2 year players. If Deion, Moss, L. Allen, Bruce, etc. got to play, it would be even easier with all of that talent. You'd have a great deal of trouble with Montana, those WRs, those TEs, Gore, the million dollar backfield members, and that dee! Joe Perry was even one of the greatest running FBs of all time! Who are you taken off. One of 2 players you never seen play. Bdawk or reggie white.
      It's an all time list. Not in the last 40 years.

    Jerry Kramer Deserves an Honorable Mention Because: “You Can If You Will”. I would also add: Sterling Sharpe, Davante Adams, Charles Woodson, and Underrated Kicker Mason Crosby

      People are still convinced if Sterling was able to play they would've won at least one more SB in that era.
      I'm glad they made sure after putting all those QB's on the list for GB they included Hutson though. Don Hutsons stats next to his contemporaries are ludicrous and when he leaves thats it for the Curly led packers.
