There is a charm to the atmosphere of certain games from the PS1 era. Things beyond the draw distance seemed mysterious, and there was a whimsical presentation that sparked the player’s imagination.
I actually recently replayed the reignited trilogy as well too recently! Absolutely love it still to this day. Both this and the originals. I like how they added skill points to the first game but it’s annoying how the epilogues in the first and second games got removed unfortunately.
I never experienced those gamebreaking glitches on the PC version on Steam. I do noticed that without a controller, you can't do skateboard tricks on Spyro 3 with keyboard and mouse, must be a programming oversight or a bug.
For loading times, i have a NVMe SSD that can reach 4GB/s read speeds. Loading times take less than 3 seconds, but the first game, it is bugged and for some reason takes several seconds to load each level. You must have maybe a hardware issue, the remakes are almost 60GB in size, the originals are around 150MB each one, each level is just a few MB in size, obviously loading times are nothing on the original PS1. If you have a PS4 with a slow hard drive, you will feel the pain...
I grew up playing the originals as well, the low framerate is just awful 😂. I play the reignited PC version at 120fps, the fluidity is night&day. Also, you can see a lot more into the distance in the remake that helps gameplay a lot. I disagree about the voice acting on the originals as well. Spyro 2 in partícular every time Elora says something, looks like the voice actress is spitting the microphone. They forgot to add the pop filter to avoid that ,😂😂😂😂. As for the music, it depends. I like what they did to Spyro 1 and 2 music on the remake, but for 3... The original Spyro 3 has way more interesting musical instruments, it has a personality. The remake music sounds very dull. You have to compare Evening Lake, Spooky Swamp and Midnight Mountain, Stewart Copeland destroys Reignited Trilogy.

A lost art for sure. God Bless.

Yeah I'm not sure why they didn't add the epilogues. They are a cool thing to unlock.
@ yeah definitely! But the concept art is a pretty decent replacement I think.
Really wish they would've kept the original voices
"Spyro 2: Greatest boss fights in gaming history".
"Spyro 3: Greatest video game in history".
I love Spyro too but those are some wild opinions lol.
How so?
