- Gröna Lund wanted an Intamin ZacSpin as their new-for-2009 coaster, but the two previously built ones (Kirnu at Linnanmäki and Inferno at Terra Mítica) didn't pack enough punch. So the park worked with the manufacturer in designing this 116.5 foot (35.5m) tall extreme version of the ride, that was later cloned by Six Flags Magic Mountain (Green Lantern: First Flight).

Yep, it's pretty bad. That larger zac-spin model like Insane is painful. But the smaller zac-spins model like Kirnu in Finland and Inferno in Spain are very smooth. It's quite ironic since Kirnu is actually Intamin's zac-spin prototype and the first zac-spin ever built.

@@HugoLibertIt totally depends on how much the other person in the cart weigh. If it's unbalanced it's crazy, I popped blood vessels in both eyes once😂
So, this ride is not painful. I live in Sweden and it just depends on the weight of the cart. If theres like 2 people on it, you will flip uncontrollably. If theres more than 3 people, that flipping tends to slow down. The drops are scary and the flips but it is not painful. You cannot ride this coaster without screaming, but its really the purpose of the coaster.
Agreed. However, I flipped eight times yesterday due to the unbalanced train. Crazy experience.

Green Lantern is a million times worse than Insane. As a person that lives in Sweden, I can confirm that this ride is a treasure, and is extremely fun. but it can also induce trauma lolol
My favorite is insane I will test monster next time.
It's really not painfull but the g-forces are really intense 😅🙈. At least much more than expected

Do they have 2 separate sides one that rolls, one that doesn't?
It depends on the weight and how it is distributed. The rotation is uncontrolled. @@thebiglewt6895
@@thebiglewt6895it depends on the weight so if 4 people are on the side coaster force was on then it will do a complete flip but if nobody is behind coasterforce it’s uneven and no flips happen

I’ve heard that Green Lantern was more painful than this. I don’t see how that would be possible…
SFMM I believe per the state of CA after riders got stuck were told to make the cars heavier so they reinforced them by filling the gaps of the razor edges you see on this one. I think the flipping was supposed to counteract the uncomfortable/hardness feeling, but since the trains were heavier, less flipping occurred and therefore the riders were basically taking all the hits if that makes sense.

Painful
If you actually ride it, its not painful, its kinda like a drop tower but less scary. The only scary part is it flips. I live in Sweden and ive been on this ride countless times.
