  • In this episode we go over a lot of the Goblin build and show many of the changes that were made to Nate's car when he set it up. After that we take you on a ride for a run at a local Autocross event. There were a lot of hurt feelings when we beat the entire field with the closest competitor being 1.7 seconds slower.
    If you missed the previous video of building the Goblin, be sure to check that out as well!

      I made this one out of an old construction sign. It was pretty easy to do. Then I made the winglets with some 8" wide wangs from NineLivesRacing.

    love the front spoiler. did you fab it yourself?

    • @WOTclub
      @WOTclub  2 года назад +1

      Yessir! Just used some foam board to get it how I wanted it and then traced it onto a sign. Bought the winglets from a company and then made the endplates and had them welded on.

      The flat floor/splitter was pretty easy to make so I'm sure you could do that part pretty easily on your own. The wings were quite a bit more tricky to do though.

    I have a question, did you get the idea to run the coolant through the tube from another goblin someone built?

    • @WOTclub
      @WOTclub  2 года назад +2

      No, I haven't seen it done before. Everyone complained about how hard it was to pull the hose through the tube and I was just confused as heck why we'd be pulling a hose through a tube so I decided to eliminate the hose and just use the tube.

    Will it hang with Ariel Atom?

    • @WOTclub
      @WOTclub  2 года назад +1

      I believe so! Are we talking about the Ariel Atom 4 with the Type R engine? That makes 320hp and 310tq at the flywheel and weighs about 1350lbs. When we filmed this video the Goblin made about 265hp with the blower but since I've switched it to turbo it makes 325hp and 415tq at the wheels on a Mustang dyno and weighs in at about 1650lbs. The main difference is the price tag!

    • @ayebee1207
      @ayebee1207 2 года назад

      Yes, the R. The track you were at, in the slaloms you spent a lot of time around 2200rpm. So I am guessing adjusting boost and fuel trim for time attack according to turns and straight away length.
      Your dyno guy could help with stored programs for humidity and track temps.
      Very solid build, Sir.

    • @WOTclub

      That was a pretty small and tight course. They aren't normally that small and I also take it to some larger tracks occasionally too.
