      @@VetkaKnit trying to do the medium sized one and the pattern says to cast on 90 stitches for the ribbing. Won’t this be wrong as it’s not a multiple of 4?? I end the round on kk and start round on kk - shouldn’t it be 92??

    Hi! I really love the look of this hat and today I've bought the yarn for it. I am a beginner and I just went through the whole video to see if I understand everything. I have a question about the first row of the A2 chart, which involves knitting the yarn over twisted to. If I understand correctly you do 2 knit stitches and then 2 twisted ones and repeat that until the end of the row? Is that correct?
    Thank you for the pattern! The video is very clear, I love that you can see the stitches and needle movements clearly. :)

    • @VetkaKnit
      @VetkaKnit  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your kind words!
      Yes on the first row of the A2 chart I do 2 knit through front loop and 2 knit through back loop (as you called them twisted ones). I do this because it makes the pattern look smoother. Also, be sure to knit the yarn over twisted!
      Happy knitting time!

      @@VetkaKnit Hi, it's me again with another question. I'm doing the size M adult, and I'm wondering if the first round of the A2 is the same for that size as well? So knit 2 through the front loop and knit 2 through the back loop? I've started it yesterday evening, I'm only on the 3rd round but very excited!

    On your K2togs curious why you reposition the first stitch on your needle then knit the two together? Im sure it has to do with the finished look, I’m just not that experienced.

    O 5th rnd, 3 colors, the pattern says repeat from * but you repeat starting with two white rather than repeat starting at yellow where the * says. Do I follow pattern or you?

    • @VetkaKnit
      @VetkaKnit  2 года назад +1

      I do exactly as indicated. Watch again please.
      5rd row start: brown x 1, white x 2, then start repeating *yellow x 1, white x 2, brown x 1, white x 1, brown x 1.
      So started with one brown and two white, only one time at the beginning of the row. Repeat starts with *

      I also think it's marked incorrectly in the vid (not in the pattern sketch). I think you follow the sketch in the video. If we were to repeat starting from yellow, brown and yellow stitches would be adjacent in that round but they never touch. Both are surrounded by white.@@VetkaKnit

    I love your tutorial, but I have a question why did u put the 2 skeins in your left hand? I have seen other tutorials where they put one the skeins in the right hand and the other one in the left hand.

      Thank you! This is continental knitting style-both yarns in left hand🙂

    • @VetkaKnit
      @VetkaKnit  3 года назад +6

      @@kikizag There is no one method, and the best approach is to try several different techniques and then adopt the one that works best for you.
      I prefer 1-handed stranded knitting. It is faster and easier for me.
      But many knitters prefer the 2-handed technique. So knitter's choice, as always!

      Yes, you are very attentive! I slipped the first stitch on color change rounds and slip BOR marker. This helps to avoid jogs when changing colors.
