The idea of May getting scared by the costume and Peter changing the colors really reminds me of New Frontier when Batman changed his suit so he wouldn't scare children and I think that's a brilliant idea to steal.
This book is a godsend. I love how they had Peter get the idea to change the colors of his costume to appear more friendly after the black one scared his daughter. I also hope Peter landing in a dumpster becomes a running gag.
So many good small moments here - Peter getting good at everything involving web-slinging… except stopping. Foreshadowing for how he wont be able to stop being spiderman? - kid may believing in magic and so accepting peter’s identity, but wanting it to be happy instead of scary. Nice child like whimsy Peter is missing. - a babysitter who is always late? Cant wait to see who that is - the fact peter only gets an internal monologue this issue, because before the spider bites him he is a side character in his own book Cant wait for issue 3. This has the chance to be an all time run.
Loving this! Sure it’s a bit of a slow build having Peter start from scratch but like how he’s struggling and building himself up plus I love the support he gets from his family
I am loving this book so much. Despite a pretty radical difference between these Peter's, he still feels like Spider-Man. He still has the shitty jokes (and now they are dad jokes), he still wants to be a hero, and he is still a good person, he just got there in a different way. Also, I love the shit Hickman threw at OMD.

Miguel O Hara Spider-man 2099 was older when he got his powers, and not having spider sense forced him to hone his situational awareness and fighting skills, which this version of Peter clearly needs to do.
I feel like once Spiderman gets some wins on his belt he’ll reveal his identity. Like I wouldn’t want to reveal myself to my family if not only I don’t quite know what I’m doing with the powers but I’m ALSO getting my ass kicked consistently. Curious Joel, what aspect of 6160's lore/world-building are you most interested in learning more about? Personally, I'm fairly interested in learning more about the histories and beliefs/principles of the members of the Maker's council, especially 6160 Hulk. I feel like it could give some insight into how the history of this world is different beyond just heroes being absent, as well as help us understand how and why different regions of the world are run the way they are.
NGL - I think this should'nt have been Peter. Not because it is bad (quite the opposite, it is very interesting), but the entire premise would've been so much cooler if this was used for a new Spider-Man who succeeded Peter, Ben and Miles. I hate how the comic industry as a whole reacts to legacy characters, considering Japans super heroes thrived because they were willing to pass the baton to new people. Also: the completely black suit with the blue lenses actually looks surprisingly good.
It probably wouldn’t have gotten many people’s attention. There is an over abundance of Spider characters nowadays, a new one would have trouble standing out. One of the selling points for this series was an adult Peter that was married with kids. Excitement for this series is built atop the dissatisfaction from the current handling of Peter in the mainline comics and how tv shows keep him as a teenager. If the married and parent Spider-Man wasn’t Peter, it wouldn’t have caught much attention because the reason why people latch onto the idea is because Peter is the one whose character was heading in that direction for twenty years before it was taken away with One More Day. The Uncle Ben being alive and being friends with Jonah twist also only works with Peter. This story couldn’t have really been told without Peter because it is built upon how Peter is being handled in the mainline comics. Peter B from the Spider-Verse movies was even referenced by Hickman when referring to this new Ultimate Spider-Man, Peter B also being commentary on how Peter has been handled over the past number of years.
I actually wanna know what became of Liz Allan in 30 years I mean the only reason why she's married to Harry Osborn in the main 616 continuety is because of well Spider Man's existence and her brother becoming a villain for a time being I wondered if what's in store for her in the new ultimate spider man series because Harry as of now is single as far as I know unless it is revealed that Harry's wife is none other than Gwen Stacy since the two met in Standard High as lesser school compared to the most popular Midtown High.
I have a question are they making a graphic novel of this Like they did with Nightwing leaping into the light And if there are when does it come out and how many issues is this run
No it's a whole new Ultimate Universe called 6160. They had a whole prelude series starring The Maker to explain this. And they keep mentioning it in the intro page to this book.
