Nice review. Do we know the exact issues that will be in volume 2? I'm having trouble finding an answer. I have the smaller trades and have read for everything in this 1st volune except for the back half of God of Thunder. I'm think about getting this and selling the included books I have.
Feels like I’ve been waiting for this forever with the delays, but my copy is out for delivery as we speak! Glad I got the Ribic cover since the other alternates are on the hardcover. Fingers crossed for a volume 2 before too long.
This Thor run is definitely one of the most interesting besides Walt Simonson one. And easily one of the better established hero replacements that made sense and had good plot twist.

I have not read any thor , which omnibus is the best one to buy ? I've only read 90% of jack kirby dc stuff , orion by Walter simonson and Grant morrison green lantern

How many pages is the full storyarc of Gorr ? I would like to buy just that part, and I've seen an offer online called "Thor: god of thunder - the God Butcher Omnibus" with just 252 pages..

I have a question unrelated to your video. I'm collecting X-men omnibus and just ordered X-men Age of Apocalypse. I was wondering if I should get X-men vs Apocalypse, the twelve or is it the same material in both omnibus. Anything you could tell me about this would be a big help
Apocalypse vs the twelve is a different arc. It's only ok as well. Doesn't have a good conclusion because it's missing issues that should have been included.

Dude, love that you are all over Omni reviews again, but I'm not gonna lie. Other than watching the first few minutes and the last few, I skip most of the video. Why? It's not the length, it's the play by play of the story. If I haven't personally read it already, I just don't wanna know all the deets. I don't recall your Omni reviews back in the day being so spoilerific. I get it, some people don't care, but for me... I just don't wanna know. Bummer, cause I generally love watching your stuff. Would be cool if maybe you considered 10 minutes of cautiously flipping through some pages, discussing your overall impressions, whether you enjoyed the art or writing etc, then 20 minutes of spoilers for those who already know, or want to know, with a warning in advance that spoilers are coming. Just a thought. Who knows, maybe I'm alone on this one.

It seems to go downhill after the gorr stuff and initial Jane Foster Thor stuff. Im waiting for vol 2 and will then read war of the realms… but the best stuff, from what I hear, is the stuff if the first half of this book

Not to sound nit picking but THOR is his NAME, not his TITLE. His title is Crown Prince of Asgard. Cap didn't become THOR when he picked up the hammer he merely gained all the POWER of Thor. When Jane Foster picks up the hammer she's STILL JANE FOSTER. She merely has gained Thor's power...thunder, lightning and the ability to control the weather (not as delicately as Storm can though).
It's not about what makes sense. It's about "the message."
Thor is not just a name now. It's an idea.
If they're married, she'd be Lady Thor right?
@@drderrickchua ...No, she'd be Lady Jane and her title would either be Royal Consort or Crown Princess Jane. That is until Thor becomes the true King of Asgard. Then she would 1) remain Royal Consort...like Queen Elizabeth the 2nd's husband Prince Philip or 2) become Queen Jane. THOR is the NAME {not title or ideal} of the Germanic/Norse god of Thunder. His full name is THOR ODINSON (Thor the son of Odin) and in Germanic/Norse culture Jane would be known as Jane Fosterdaughter (Jane the daughter of Foster). In mythology Thor had two sons, Modi and Magni Thorsons. This was the beginning of family sir names. Read up on the customs of European Aristocracy and Nordic Mythology for more information. Like Bulfinch's Mythology.

While I loved the God butcher arc after that I was slowly loosing interest I got past where this Omni ends but gave up I think one day I’ll go back to finish it but I found it boring around the war Thor stuff

I was so close to buying this, until it was discovered they did not include the King Thor story. aka, the conclusion to the god butcher story.
King Thor is the end of Aaron’s run on Thor, it would be completely nonsense to include it since there is a lot in between the end of the Omnibus and King Thor
@@manoitin2208 considering King Thor focuses solely on King Thor, who wasn't revisited since Godbomb. It's far from "completely insane" especially since it was included in Aaron's Thor, and prefaces, "and to return to a previous legend".

This is the one where he made Thor unworthy and his girlfriend better than him at everything. Even adapting his speech patterns and mannerism just being better.
She was close friend to popular characters she had never met before, she defeated everyone. All in an effort to femenize and humiliate Thor.
