I was ambivalent about even opening this video because of my impression of Gatlin back in his early days where he struck me as being so cocky (but in truth, that could be said of all American sprinters of that era). My view of him was even worse when he got banned. However, I believe in the power of redemption and backed off to just being neutral on his return. In the end, I saw a humbled man really grinding to revive his career in a sport he really loves. After watching this video, props for the honest insight behind the effort and you have my outmost respect sir. Cheers!!!

Well said! Me too. I was a big fan of Justin's and was very disappointed when the news came out about the ban. It's all these years later that I realize that we can't just accept media presentations of situations as representing the full story. I'm so happy to be watching all his positive content on RUclips now and sad for all that he went through after working so hard to reach his goals. I will never be the #1 best in the whole world at ANYTHING, so I have so much respect for Justin and his peers.

I love this sport but it’s a shame that it doesn’t have as much publicity, you are literally the greatest American sprinter of all time. And this has 2,000 views.

Watching this is so exciting for me, don’t know how I’m just seeing this now!
2012 watching Justin comeback, and how he navigated the rounds was poetry in motion. 2014&15 watching him dominate made me so happy. I always liked his story and how he came back. I’m no longer an athlete but tried to use the principles moving forward
Funny enough now, I’m 26, and life has been whopping my ass, taking so many L’s, since 18. I was beginning to feel like I’m 8 years behind and served a ban too (metaphorically for years lost).
Then I remembered , some men reach success in their earlier 30s like usain & retire, or start building an family and you have others like j gatlin, Kim collins that make that impact in their late 30s to early 40s regardless of career path.
Even though I feel behind, I feel it can still make it financially by 40 and look at a family then, and gatlin is a muse for that
Thanks for how detailed this was. It was very inspiring

This interview with you Gat & Rod, is really telling us how resillient u were: Thanks Gatlin: As you said ' Iron sharpens Iron: No one can celebrate Bolt without u being in the equation: U both are Champion Kings of T& F,in yr eras: We love you both equally my brother: Keep mounting up like the EAGLE that u both are: In that era there was no interest to wath the ' Incredible '6' if all of u wasn't at the starting line: U all should form a powerful coalition with each other for the rest of yr lives: U all are great trend setter for the remainder of Worldwide Olympics game: Also,I think that the Olympic Associations should make all of yr team VIP invites to every Olympics from now upwards into the Priority Box Seats in every Olympic meets, going forward: U all are Track LEGENDS. MAXIMUM RESPECT TO YOU GATLIN:😂❤🎉
