Glad to see and support what you brothers are doing. As a former NCAA track man myself. This was needed for the sport. Justin about 11 years ago I met you and your lady. We were heading to the Orlando area. On Red Coach one night from Miami. Keep on keepin on brothers ✊🏾. Thanks for giving brother Spearman his flowers. He was a bad man in his day. Real track people know this.
37:20 The only other race in history I can think of that one coach swept the podium was the 2012 London Olympics 200m final where Bolt, Blake and Warren Weir all medaled
Amazing how ready Christian Miller and Quincy Wilson for the spotlight they channeled the heat of the moment into some excellent runs. There are some legit athletes they left in their wake!
I have always said this and you guys can break this mold. We hardly know much about the field events and decathlons because the traditional media tends to concentrate more on the sprints and long distances. So please get the field events and track them this Olympic season
Throwers and jumpers really need more love. Well said! Field events (and combined events too, decathlon, eptathlon) can't still be considered second tier events!
Snoop was there all weekend. I think you guys forget the new Hayward Field has suites in the stands along the home stretch. Also the stands in the homestretch are covered by shade.
Justin and Rodney at 7:58 (comments about no Field Events) being featured. Gentlemen, for some clarification here. Michael explained a bit about this in that interview. He emphasized that "Each Event" will be televised in real time. Focus "will be" for the viewers solely on the event(s) being ran, no "let's go see what's happening in the Long Jump event, etc., etc" comments from the TV commentators. Whereas, in field events as we know them, there are ongoing competition while the track and field events are being run. Also, Michael has figured in the TV Ads, etc. Hope this helps. I think inevitably Michael and his investors will try to figure out how to get the Field Events Athletes featured and/or somehow get paid as well because we all know there are some GREAT athletes that deserves to be paid and featured in some kind of way in this new set up league. IF not Michael, hopefully some other Field Events Starts will find investors to do the same thing as Michael.
No one can deny that Justin Gatlin is/was a great competitor. He is the type that will bring you to your toes and at the edge of your chair even give you a nerve break down. Is presence alone may cause some terror to some athlete. The man was just super confident. Is threat though was sometimes better than is performance..He was great in is own rights.
Would have liked to see you guys drop more content throughout the trials period. Probably worth considering for the olympics? Instead of the one video on a Thursday, it would be great to get your take on the events throughout the week. It's a lot of work though.
The wind was superior in the semis compared to the finals. Just like in Beijing 2015 a Gatlin had a +0.9 in the semis where he ran 9.77 and a -0.5 in the finals where he ran 9.80. Wind matters.
For the field events maybe they should get the exact things Gatlin just said on the actual pitch for us to relate to it. So instead of a regular long jump board, we get a actual bus, for javelin we put them on a football field and on polevault we get a cardboard cutout of a giraffe. Sounds childish but it crosses the metric system boundaries. Lord knows it would help me 😂😂

@@apollos333 cool, thx. It's odd, I listen to Total Running Productions, The Final Leg, Citius and Ready Set Go... yet NOBODY has covered Athing Mu's fall yet, and that was 3 days ago?!?!?!
Let’s talk about what Mr. Christian Miller will do for his coaching/training group situation if he were to go the pro route. Historically, a tier 1 shoe company sometimes align their interests with coaches who have a group of talented athletes in the same discipline or cross event disciplines. For the shoe company it’s a good way to hedge your bets on athlete performances, mitigating investment risk through diversification. These sharpe changes in coaching situations can really impact performance and often the confidence of the young athlete. Not saying that he cannot handle it, but it truly is a nuanced situation that should be considered carefully. How would you consider this?
Hey guys. Big fan of your show all the way from Nigeria. Just a small observation, please try to call the full names of all of the athletes you mention on the show. So that people who are casual can google them. Btw, i am not a casual.
4:53 I don’t think it’s about peaking in this league, I think it would be more about survive and advance. A stay on top type of ordeal. Entertainment purposes for the fans and an opportunity for athletes that may fall short of the Olympics to gain another shot at competing against the best.

He was so close to Noah in every race and I think Kenny B is making a statement to get noticed more. I love Kenny. Don’t get me wrong Noah I am a fan and Love to see ya win, but overconfidence only works for a period of time.
