I'm from South Africa...when Usain ran ...I felt he was running for the whole world 🌎...When he won we all celebrated. His personality was as good as he is an athletes (Muhammad Ali )Loveable guy!
I feel like Usain Bolt is not getting as much recognition as other world class athleets in other sports. Athleets like Federer, Messi, Ronaldo, Hamilton, Jordan etc... He should be definitely up there with those guys if not even higher as he is clearly the BEST in 100/200m.
Football and basketball have a wider audience. The NBA holds a national championship every year, and basketball is played most months of the year. The same goes for football. Track and field, on the other hand, has a shorter season and major events like the World Championships occur every two years, while the Olympics are held every four years.
I guess it depends on what kind of sports you like and you take your best ever from that. Football, Tennis and Track & Field are mine. Usain Bolt is No1 for me, it was absolutely amazing to watch his journey from his junior days to multiple golds and world records as a senior. Lyles can talk all he wants and star in his own show but he needs those double golds and world records to be considered anywhere near where Usain is. Until then he is just another pretender with an extremely big mouth!
Oh no don't be mistaken. In other parts of the World Usain Bolt is still very very big. In places like America in recent years I have noticed them trying to downplay his achievements. However the man's legacy is just too big to be buried. Too much personality, charisma and physical capabilities of course. It's going to take sometime to see the likes of Bolt on the track again.🤩🤩🤩
Usain Bolt is an icon a true legend of sport not just track n field

31:00 based on the 10m splits from that race in Beijing, it is reasonable to estimate that his time would have been 9.62 at best. Now he did have a more favorable wind in Berlin, so the two runs are actually almost equivalent in their quality.
Bolt saying he missed two months of training in '09 is fucking terrifying. I thought "His memory is probably a but wonky since it's been 15 years since". Then he makes the comparison of the Beijing and Berlin relay legs and you know he's telling the truth. Man if Bolt didn't get injured in 2009, no one and I mean NO ONE would even be considering challenging Bolt's WR
He was in a car crash as well and said he was 85% ready when we interview him in Jamaica😂😂😂😂. Bolt was our gift to us Jamaicans for all the drugged up usa athletes we had to ran against and felt robbed!
In the conversion with the greatest and most legendary names in sports. The difference is other legends status can be debated. Bolt is undisputed King of Sprinting
31:00thank you for asking him this.. look at that whole beijing olympics. the most effortless elegant sprinting you will ever see. JOGGED 9.85 in the semi final
I disagree with the idea that he would have beaten 9.58 in 2008 though. Even with the showboating, I don't think he lost 0.11 seconds worth of speed. Running full speed in the 200m for 19.30 (compared to being in 19.19 form, despite feeling tired in 2009) also kinda supports this idea. The closest anyone has been to 9.58 (other than Bolt's own 9.63 in 2012) is 9.69, which we saw 3 times in history (Bolt, Gay, Blake).
I would have love to hear Usain Bolt’s thoughts about the future of Jamaican athletes 🤷🏾♂️ All in all, good interview. Thanks, what a guy! Usain Bolt. Much love

Bolt is the greatest athlete of all time name one person in the history of track and field to dominate two events for three olympics.. also bolts era of sprinting is the best era period look at the talent that was there Bolt Powell Gatlin Gay Blake we are truly blessed our sporting era has produced so many legends in our time I don’t think we will see the 100 broken for along time maybe not even in our time..
Usain Bolt would you please participate in one race of legends? I miss so much thunder moments. Miss to see you on stage 😢😢 the greatest of all time ⌚. ❤
Had the privilege of celebrating two birthdays at his Constant Spring Tracks and Records restaurant in Kingston,Jamaica. Usain,if you reading this, give Simone a raise. She's a much needed entity to your franchise!
Usains humility yet confidence is something some Ark could learn. I can be confident while being honest and respecting your opponents. Some fake “fastest man in the world” running around acting like Usain doesn’t exist.
Bolt seh 50 metres & Powell was nowhere to be found then 65 m him turn around and still cant see him...Well Powell throwed shots at him on Gatlin podacst so the undisputed King of Sprints had to respond and respond he did 😂. Bolt seh big up Gatlin for keeping him on his toes because he would always show up...one thing about Gatlin was that his mental toughness was next level.
@@pitounefer772 He made it look like Bolt just didn't step up to the plate in his early years after he won and broke a record at that at World Juniors whilst conveniently neglecting to mention that Bolt was injured during this period. @Yiealo6372jd Bolt was def taking a dig there and it was deserved...I would have done worse because Powell was trying to style him on Gatlin's podcast despite the fact that him couldn't even see Bolt spike back good during a race when they were both in their primes.
Powell is very insecure and soft that's why he always chokes on the big stage but has never once admitted that he let his nerves and pressure get the better of him he always has a excuse even on gatlin podcast he says injury is why he did so poorly in championships I could bet gatlin is laughing at him in his head Powell and Gatlin wasn't a rivalry..powell has never beaten gatlin since July 2004. After 2004 Olympics when gatlin became a 9.8 sprinter Powell never beat him since@@amandaquest105

You have a point but he is the most popular track & feild athlete. He is the reason alot of people start watching in the first place

So weird how Usain is actuallly extremely underrated somehow. He is arguably the greatest athlete ever!!
Who said he's under rated?
It is because of his football career
I think it's because he has no impact of the field,,,look at ali, pele, and those guys...of the field or ring they had a great impact
If Usain is talking I am listening 🙌🏽💫💥
