I’m 15 and I’m about 156cm (last checked a year ago) and I weigh 42kg. Gaining weight has been a struggle but looking at my lifestyle I can see why. I rarely exercised and I don’t have the best diet. I’m doing this because I want to gain weight for the health benefits, I’m perfectly happily with the way I look but I always feel tired and etc just like how Kate explained for herself! Thankfully today I have started to be more serious and already did a 40minute workout, and I’m going to be improving my diet. Health always comes before looks. I hope everyone else is able to choose a healthier lifestyle for a positive health outcome!

Just a little tip. Don't exercise for so long like 40 mins on your day one. You will be motivated for 3-4 days but then you will start getting tired. Instead start from little. Start from 10 mins a day. Do it for 1 week daily (or 3 times a week). Then slowly increase the time. Like add 5 mins. That way you r going to be more consistent

2 months later everyone, if you are reading this and struggling with gaining weight, appetite or anything related to that: You can definitively figure it out and enjoy food again. Take note of things that trigger you (for example greasy or bloating food) and make sure to just collect healthy safe recipes for your lifestyle. Then check that you eat at least 2 warm meals a day. Your appetite for certain things will come back. Appetite depends on a lot of things but if you know its mostly mental, you got this!♡ Don't think too much abt it, dont focus on the numbers. Also if you work out even just a little you will be so hungry which makes it easier

I’ve struggled with weight gain issues myself my whole life with a fast metabolism and genes. Even after having a baby my weight dropped a lot. The past month I’ve stayed consistent in upping calories and protein!
I recommend for everyone to hop onto some mass gaining powders. That helped me gain 16lbs in a month.
I do cardio, because even though I don’t want to lose that weight, cardio is very important in order to stay healthy. I usually warm up with 15 min of cardio before hitting the weights. I hit the stair master, and do some leg kicks while on it. Or if I walk on treadmill I incline it to the highest level.
Cardio is so important! Don’t let it scare you away, you’ll still gain I promise. Take care of your heart.
Waist trainer is a must! I’ve been wearing it so often. So satisfying to see my tummy sweat. I don’t want fat there lol.
Now that I’ve gained a pretty good amount and some fat has traveled onto my arms some more, I hit upper body too!

I live in a country where being thick or fat is normal. If someone sees a skinny girl on the street they'll say she needs to gain weight.
My step mother has also made comments about me that weren't so intentional of brining down my self esteem but she was upset. The dress that I was wesring to my father and her wedding was to bug all around and the chest area didn't fit at all. I felt so embarrassed. Meanwhile everyone looked great. I've only realized that now. It upsets me that I walked down the aisle like that but my dad said that he almost cried watching me walk, so I'm all good. He was happy.

right!!!! i was super sick a time and went down 72 lbs, I started eating more meat and in two weeks went up to 97lbs. I stopped eating meat i dropped to 92lbs. My natural weight is 103lbs, but I haven't seen it in yrs. I do thank the lord for a fast metabolism because it helps the body heal. I am not sure if it is due to a lack of nutrients in the food that does not cause the food to stick which might be why i put on pounds so quickly eating beef. For example someone said that when you eat lots of carbs or sugar you use up potassium and most ppl are potassium deficient so your body starts to pull it from the reserves it has. So if your body is leaching potassium to metabolize carbs it would be near impossible to absorb the nutrients to build muscles because your electrolytes have to be balanced. @katetruong  3 года назад +149

omg please ask away im here to help! i slightlyyyyy eased into it. tbh idk if this is gonna sound bad but i just make myself finish my food. i just wanted it really bad so i made it happen! when i first started increasing my calories, i would eat foods that were extremely high in calories but were relatively small in terms of portion size. for example, the first day i got serious i would eat an extra avocado toast and drink an ensure (that would increase my calories by 600 calories) then the second / third day i would drink an extra protein shake (2 a day) on top of the extra food. my protein shakes are 750 calories each so those helped a lot!! im not gonna lie, i felt kinda sick and SUPER full when i first started doing this but my stomach eventually got used to it and now im able to eat a lot with no discomfort after :') for me, it was definitely easier to eat things that were small but calorically dense in the beginning when i wasn't used to eating a lot yet. now i dont have to eat stuff like ensure or multiple protein shakes because i can physically handle eating bigger portions of my food! i hope that makes sense >.

12 pounds in one month is not normally achievable. I started as 97 lbs (26yo) and went to gym 4 times a week for 7 weeks and gained almost 7 pounds which got me happy but i still was technically underweight. Doing dumbells, arm&leg machines, forcing myself to eat breakfast even if its just yogurt or granola bar as well as forcing myself to eat peanut butter, eggs, and jerky as snacks. Then i ended up having to work often until late so i stopped going to gym and naturally went back to under 100lbs. I'm starting going to gym again ! 💪🤞

I always had issues gaining weight and finally went to a GI Doctor due to other issues. Turns out i have celiac disease. People who know i have it still think it's okay to comment on my appearance. All my life growing up and even as an adult, the amount of times ive been told to "eat a cheeseburger" "you're so boney" "youre so scrawny" "she's a twig" "too skinny" "you never gain weight" has driven me to the point of severe depression and self hatred with how I look because people have drilled that into my head. Even when I feel a little good about myself, for whatever reason people find it okay to make backhanded comments in REGULAR conversations ALL OF THE TIME. Could be speaking or joking about something very unrelated and for whatever reason people think it's okay to comment on my weight or make it the butt of the joke. I have never once in my life made comments to someone overweight in adulthood because I understand how hard it is for people to comment on others bodies. But for whatever reason, the same people who are overweight and concerned with body positivity do NOT uphold that same standard for women who are smaller than them. Interesting how body inclusivity is only for the overweight. I could have made so many people feel so bad about themselves over comments they have made to me, but that doesn't make me any better. However, because they have affected my own perception of myself so much I started working out and trying to gain weight. It's so hard. After being diagnosed with celiac disease I lost 17 pounds. People who know I have celiac disease still think it's okay to make comments on my weight as of they couldn't afford to lose a few pounds. I'm 3 months into working out and eating as mucj as I can but calories tracking and meal prepping is nearly impossible when i work full time and go to school full time. It has been hard. Hopefully I can gain weight soon because im at my wits end and one more comment away from someone pushing me closer to the edge.

Why do I want to gain weight? Because I'm so worried that my weight is unhealthy for me. I'm 18 and weigh 85 pounds. I. Freaking. HATE. it. I just want to gain weight but I can never manage to go above 85. Granted, I practically know nothing on how to properly gain weight. I have zero clue how many calories I take in every day. I just try to eat a lot. But that doesn't seem to be helping since I'm still 86. God I just want to get to 90 pounds AT LEAST. At LEAST 90 pounds

I'm 5’9 and weight 50kg, currently I tend to eat a lot just because my body wants it but I'm not adding weight and its a bit bothersome

If you could add a eating video or I'm not sure if you made one or not but that would be awesome! I also don't know what you used to track your calories and how to do it effectively but if you could make a video for that I would definitely be interested! ALSO, congratulations on your progress girl! I have weighed anywhere from 95 to 110 lb my whole life usually more on the spectrum of 100 and am 5'6.. so again a very small built person who has a fast metabolism (genetic as well) and (I do get a lot of cardio at my waitressing job so I can totally relate to the whole oh my god and my burning calories that I need thing lol) But I just wanted to say that I agree with you 100% on everything that you said and I know that I just need to mainly get the eating part down and the tracking and all of that kind of stuff I have been going to the gym now and lifting weights for a little over a year and the progress I have seen is insane I have also gained a lot of weight from muscle mass but I am wanting to work more on my diet thank you so much for this video Loved it 😘

People don’t understand how hard it is to gain weight with a fast metabolism. I can litr only eat junk food all week and not gain any weight and then I’m always struggling because of how skinny I am

I've always been skinny. I recently had to get a hysterectomy and I'm not even 30 yet. I've noticed even though I've been eating way more I've been losing weight and my bones are protruding. It's freaking me out and I really want to gain weight fast!!
