That looks really flexy which I know should help dampen vibrations - but I worry it could feel "mushy" or sort of like a board that is old and which has lost its liveliness. What do you think about the flex?
Not Shane
But I personally found the rebound gave it a springy, energetic feeling with cx on 17' trucks, and sloppy with the meraki on 18' setting.
These guys are crazy dropping in on this setup!
Draho and Eva are absolutely rad human beings! I bought a 32" Carbonyx Adam and it is fantastic with a set of C7 trucks as a LDP, but I'm weird about having extra deck extending past my front trucks. (no idea why I have this hang up lol) So, I had them make me the same deck in a 30" version and with a set of CX trucks it's phenomenal for flat ground, land surfing, and downhill. I haven't taken it to the park yet, but I imagine it will perform very well in park and bowl. Great video!
As just a heads up note, unless they've changed things, the XL is 36". The 34" deck is their standard and 32" is their small. But I could very well be wrong about that. Cheers!
Whitetail -Tigershark seems better with more concave and steeper kicktail and not as long and awkward. A 31 inch Soulboardiy with steeper kicktail and a touch more concave would be perfect and that is what has prevented me from buying one. With a like tweeking and they would be ideal
Thank you, Shane and Adam :)
Where to buy Yow Meraki trucks in US? Their website says not available?
Here’s a sweet setup trick I came up with and have tested for years, it works very well for anyone using surf-style front trucks or the Waterborne adapter system: if you flip the rear trucks to face the same direction as the fronts, you gain a ton of stability but will still have nearly all of agility as before. It will become impossible to wobble even at very high speeds, and even carve tighter, corner harder and loss traction later. There’s a quick vid on my channel where I explain it a bit more in detail. I’m going to make a much better vid soon but this one at least gets the main points across
I only have one thing to say; Soulboardily is the Bentley version of all surfskate deck.
Beautiful shape and man dropping in looks so wild man...😳
Hi Shaun, how does it feel like compared to the Whitetail?
where is the review of the new Smoothstar Thruster truck ? It looks a lot lighter
Hope you can get your hands on a waterborne fin soon. Great videos!
Hey Shane , thanks for the great videos . If you had a bro who was a beginner and weighed 120kgs and was about 190 cm tall and older , what board would you put him on ? Cheers and keep up the great vids
I believe the Smoothstar Manta Ray should fit about right
nice deck
Hi Shane which adapter do you use to change the trucks so fast?
'Qwik truks' ! They have the quick release system that makes it so easy and convenient to switch trucks
@@shanelai2515 Thanks!
