Wow! Just brilliant! Not a style I will use but to see your work is amazing! Your hinges are brilliant…I can hunk of a few choice words that must have gone into their making! The racks too are great-I will be using that in my own build! Thank you!
I just discovered your channel & holy moly. Not only that this video was so relaxing to watch but it sparked my creativity & I want to try this.
thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words and I hope if you create it you will share it with me! I'd love to see!
Bonus points for gratuitous use of puppy cuteness in a video.
Thank you Ara and congratulations again on 10k viewers. The refrigerator is awesome! And I love the hardware (easy to say since I haven't tried it yet). It really does make this a period looking piece. It is very generous of you to share this with us.
I also love the ice cube
Thank you Heather!! She REALLY didn't like my attention not being in her ALL the TIME haha! So she got a little mention🐶 So glad you enjoyed the video and are excited about the files!
Thank you kindly for this! I have just finished the oven and starting this so I can have something for my haunted house! Thought I would give a tip with cutting machines!
I use the lightest setting with a kraft blade (cameo) just to score a little bit onto the top of the board so I have an easy guide with the exacto blade to keep a straight line. This eliminates the use of a straight edge when cutting :)
*inhales* Whoever thumbs downed this video forgot to breath! Congratulations Ara! So happy to see your channel growing even more! Happy to be a part of your awesome community. Thank you so much for this awesome pattern. I can tell how much work you put into this! *exhales*
Haha yes breathing is very important! Thank you for your kind words and I am so thankful for your continuing support John! I appreciate it so much!❤
And especially thank you for the svg files!
I’ve been making miniatures since I was 7 years old (I’m now 70). I have an intense passion. I love your style and that you make minis affordable for all! Thank you!
Thank you so much Linda!

Congratulations, Ara! You have given so much for so long - I can't wait until you have 100K subs! Thank you for this incredibly generous tutorial, all of the various file types, and the breathing lessons!
Oh, AND, I blush like a schoolgirl every time you mention me, girl: STOP that nonsense! 😅😍😘🌹
I can't help it! You have so many good ideas and techniques that people need know your awesome channel! You're also just an amazing, inspiring person so stop it I shall not ;) Big Hugs!💖💖
@@BentleyHouseMinis 😍😘😍🌻🌹🌻
That is so cute and it looks authentic. Very nicely done. There is a reason that the ice goes on top. Cold sinks. Putting ice in the lower compartment would have left the upper portion of the ice box warm. Ice was often very clear. It was cut from the surface of frozen lakes and then shipped by rail. I don't know how much I would have liked having lake water dripping onto my food in the lower compartment. They didn't have plastic wrap or containers to keep the food fresh in. Sure makes me appreciate modem refrigerators. But ice boxes are much prettier to look at
Thank you for the kind words and info! I hope to see an icebox in person someday... i have never seen one. It would even be better if I could find a working one!
I love this project, but my eyes are too old to attempt the tiny details. You did a fantastic job, Ara.
My sisters are old enough to remember the ice man delivering to our house--in a horse drawn wagon. I'm not quite that old, but I do remember the ice box was on our back porch and the outhouse in the backyard.
Thank you Rainsong! I wonder how they kept the ice insulated in the wagon? Or if they just had to deliver on a quick time schedule. Although I guess when the ice blocks are a certain size they can last a while! ;)
It looks awesome. Love the look of the two of them together.
Absolutely fabulous as always. Thank you so much for making these things for us to follow and learn from. Love the puppy. She needs her own video xxx
Thank you so much Julie!! It is my pleasure to make them and I hope it shows my appreciation for all the support!! Haha - yes she may get her own video at some point ;)
Ara.........look what you did!! You brilliant woman! THank you for this, and for sharing your pattern for free....!!
Where do you find those tiny clamps?
So glad you enjoyed it! Do you mean the plastic clamps or the metal one? Actually I think I got them both at Harbor Freight. If you live in the US check to see if you have a Harbor Freight store near by... it is an amazing source for tools... even mini tools! They may sell online too.. I am not sure ;)
Bentley House Minis Yup, I’m acquainted with HF! Thank you! I will look there.
I'm so glad my kit came with 3D printed hinges!
haha yeah! They can be a pain!
Wonderful vintage look. Love it great job. 😍
I can't believe that I never thought about making miniatures until I found a Channel on "Sales Man Samples" and my heart swelled with joy because as a child my doll house was my pride and joy! I haven't made my Miniture yet but I've started gathering supplies! Its so much fun looking at every thing I put in my recycle bin to see what I can turn it into! Yeah Thank You so much for sharing you Wonderful Talent your Amazing! Im Subscribed!
Thank you so much for your awesome comment and welcome to the channel!😊
This is stunning Ara!!! and I love your big celebration glasses!!!
Lol thank you! I don't wear them often... but when I do its time to party😄
Thank you for this amazing project! My parents had an antique icebox that they used as a china cabinet, and your model and its level of detail is spot on.
Thank you!! I am so glad to hear that from someone who has a connection with a piece like this. I have never seen one in person so I tried to do a lot of research to get as close as possible ;)
Love this channel! Your designs are amazing and your tutorials are clear and concise!
Thank you so much! That is always good to hear because sometimes I feel like I stumble over my words like crazy😄 I appreciate it!
@@BentleyHouseMinis
Amazing art work !!!
PLEASE make a victorian black cast iron firewood burning kitchen stove!!!!!
Absolutely amazing. You are so talented, and so patient. I’d be pulling my hair out gluing the first two pieces together!
Thank you! The hair pulling comes less and less as you get more into the hobby ;) I promise!
Absolutely loved this. Sat and watched the whole video - when I should have been doing other stuff. Brilliant hinges, and though you've made the fridge out of card stock - with the pattern which you've so kindly given to us, it could easily be translated into wood. Love the colour scheme and everything about this. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed it! I think you're right that it would be pretty easy to translate to 1/16" thick basswood. I do know some people prefer wood over matboard ;)
Love what you have come up with. I'm working up a fairy tree house from boxes and paper clay. Still on outside. The stove and now the fridge is exactly the look I wanted in the kitchen area. Can't wait to create. Thanks sooo much.
Awesome! I am so glad these will be helpful to you and your project sounds amazing!!💖
Wow!!!! So creative!! All those details are freaking AMAZING! Thank you for sharing your talent and the pattern! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much Sloane! It is definitely my pleasure to share with you guys ;)
You are amazingly talented. Thank you for sharing your skills!
Thank you so much Denise! It is my pleasure to share!
OMG-with-lots-of-expletive-letters-too! Congratulations Ara, & this is beyond awesome - I love it even more than the stove. You are such a clever & hard-working lady, do be sure to acknowledge your own achievements. Best wishes. (edit) Btw, I just loved all the little paws & hands reaching in to help you with this build.
Thank you so much Joanne! I am so glad you like it... at first I thought it was going to be too plain but after adding the hardware it really came to life! Thank you for all your support over the years💖💖 Haha - yes she things my attention should be hers 24/7! She is sleeping on my foot right now🐶😄
I think you did a GREAT job with this. It's so funny that making some vintage appliances is also on my miniatures to do list - and almost like these EXACT styles. I have pinned a bunch for inspiration. Now I wish I had an electronic cutting machine because I like the idea of printing it on the mat board even if you can't cut through it. I don't know how you had the patience to fiddle with those tiny hinges - I make hinges, too, but have a different method. The colors came out almost exactly the same (the fridge just came out the tiniest bit greener than the stove - or that could be the lighting, I dunno). But you gave me an idea for making matching pieces at different times. I think I will start keeping a color recipe book for miniature sets or suites. That way I will know to use 3 drops of this and 2 drops of that to get a matching shade of XYZ color. Congrats on 10K. I'm gonna get there, too!!!
How fun that we are on the same track!! And I love the idea of the color journal... super smart! Yes you will definitely get there! I just subscribed ;)
I love watching you build!
Thanks Ara for an appliance close to my heart. My dad had ice plants and delivered ice for refrigerators like these. ( long before me!) Radley, Roxie and I say congrats on first 10,000.
That's awesome Pamela! I remember my grandfather talking about delivering ice too! I am not sure how long he did it for but it sounded like hard work! I am so glad you enjoyed the video!💖
This is great!!! My interest is 4 generational now and now I love learning new ways to do things and come up with better and cheaper ways to get the desired results. Thank you for sharing and I love these. Have a wonderful day
Thank you for this tutorial! A way to make the bottom hinge rolling easier might be to make it a tad longer. Glue a separate piece of paper clip to it and roll it up just like the top hinge piece. Then unroll a bit and cut the pin off. Then it should be fairly easy to reroll it.
I love it! You are so talented! And my arthritic hands are grateful for the svg files!
Thank you Angela!! Aren't cutting machines amazing for that purpose??! We can skip all the cutting and get straight to the creating! I am glad it will help you out!
I would never have guessed card stock....Superb!
Thank you for your very generous gift! I haven't started it yet but look forward to giving it a try! You are amazing!
You're welcome! I hope you will share it with me when you make it!
thank you so mutch for teaching. best wishes from germany.
Beautiful work, love the colours, thank you Ara!
Thank you Jillian!! Vintage appliance have the most fun colors don't they?? lol!!
Making the hinges, I found I could stick them into a tangerine to dry. Worked really well
How inventive!
Wow. OMG Ara you are amazing. You have done a fantastic job. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope one day I will get to make this ice box. I think I will need a lot of patience. I have a vague memory of having one in our kitchen when I was a little girl, (a long, long time ago) but will have to ask my 94 year old mother to confirm. Once again thank you very much. Cheers ..Robyn 😊❤
UAU! Você fez os cortes super retos e sem auxílio de régua! Parabéns. Lindo trabalho.
Thank you! I have had a lot of practice but any mistakes I made were easily sanded out at the end ;)
Congratulations on 10,000 subs Ara! The ice box looks awesome, love the hardware too. Thanks for doing the hard yards on figuring out how to make them so we don’t have to! They do look tricky but well worth the effort....thanks for the free download too ❤️☺️
Thank you so much Jenny! I really hope you enjoy making the pattern and the hinges don't give you too many struggles ;)
Omg I love this vintage ice box so adorable. My grandma had a 1930 first motor top keep it cold was Maytag. I had watching your videos for the pass weeks. Ya I'm fan of horror film and haunted house. Someday I would make something like abandoned room. You have an awesome videos. I enjoy watching it. Love the what you do and Addams Family house. Keep up your work. From NYC.
This is another on my "to make" list! I love how it turned out .... great job, and thank you for the pattern and instructions so much! ❤
You are welcome Pamela! Thank you for supporting my channel!
You are amazing ! I love the attention to detail, how you try to help others learn to do things and how you promote other crafters. Yours is my favorite site for miniatures. Thank you.
Looks amazing. Love the blue color
Thank you!! Vintage appliances had some of the best colors!!
This peoject is perfect! I so love it. Thank you!
Congrats! The fridge (and your earrings also) are so cute!
Thanks Tracey!!! ;)
That is so detailed and just incredible!
Looks fantastic, but as I do not have a printer unable to do, if poss measurements would have been very helpful. I love all your videos amazing what you come up with. A BIG THANK YOU for all the inspiration..
Hi Ara,. Love the fridge, the hinges went well. I'll remember to take a deep couple of breaths when I make mine. Thanks once again for all of your hard work xxx
Yes deep breaths are key😄 Thank you for all the support Marilyn!!
Thank you so much for creating this for us. I hope to be able to do this and the stove over winter break. Your tutorials are so detailed and so nicely presented that I want to try them all someday.
You are welcome Pam and I am so glad you are excited to make these projects! And thank you for the kind words💖
Love your attention to details...have always liked miniatures! Thank you for this project!
,
Thank you very much!
Congratulations girl you work hard for it. I love your Channel
Thank you so much Edwina!
Oh this is perfect. Thank you so much for svg
Thank you Tina! You are very welcome!
Uh-mazing! Love the design and even though I probably would not make this I learned some things I can apply to other projects. That hardware so makes the piece. If I were to make this piece, I wouldn't skimp on it as I think it does add to the authenticity of the look you were going after. Great job and great video!
Thank you so much Debbie! I am so glad you enjoyed the video and were able to grab some helpful things from it💖 I agree.. the hard ware def makes it!
That's the cutest thing I've seen all day! It looks soso cute. You scratch my miniature itch. I wish I had the time for such things.
love this it will go great with my stove. thank you
I think I might just get off with using this in my Varda which is technically 1:9th but needs something for the kitchen bit and I have been struggling with what. I think this may just fit the space. (It needs a kitchen and I have made a stove and the seating and bed is sorted but I am at a loss how to deal with the gap where the food prep would happen. I think I may just make one anyway as my 1:12th could do with an icebox.
The hardware looks amazing! It's worth however much work it takes because it looks so good!
I am so glad this will help with your design!
I am in awe! If I was still a kid I would totally want to be you (or at least half as talented as you) when I grew up lol.
Amazing! Thank you so much for doing this.
Your videos make my day! Thank you so much! So creative! 💜
Wow this is sooo adorable. I love it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Alicia!
The ice block looks COOL lol
That's wonderful! in making mine a glass fronted cabinet in 6/12 scale.
Oooh that will be really pretty!! I hope you will send me a link to see what you create!

You are wonderful!!! Thankyou so much!
Aww thank you Kathleen💖💖
Thank you for the fun tutorial and free pattern. It looks great, and it's paper! Amazing!!
You are very welcome! I am so glad you liked it!
I really like the corner supports or points for whatever it is they look like real hammered metathat they hammered around the corners of the fridge
Thank you, anxious to try this.
You are so welcome! Thank you for the support!
Thank you so very much. Your Projects are great.
Thank you so much Zenda!
This is fantastic!!!👏👏💕🧜♀️
Do like those glasses! Your creations are great. Can't wait to try them.
Thank you Jean! Happy creating!!
I remember Ice boxes and the Iceman delivering huge blocks of ice. Way back in the 50’s. Some ice boxes I remember had a section on top for the block of ice, since cold falls.
Thank you for sharing your memory Linda! That makes sense about the cold falling👍
Just amazing! Ara!..can’t wait to download the pattern!1 thank u,,
Thank you Cheri!! Happy creating!
Just found this channel and feel like I've seriously been missing out! Your creations are incredible! Instantly subscribed!

WOW! You are such a great teacher, Ara! Totally Ara-mazing! I saved the two PDF docs and this video URL for a time when I might attempt tackling a project like this. Thank you, thank you, thank you . . . and many warm congratulations (deservedly so) on reaching your 10K subscribers milestone! Onward to 100K and world domination! :)
Haha thank you so much Linda!! I appreciate the kind words and I really hope you enjoy trying out the projects!! ;)
Dang! Looks like I will have to create ANOTHER doll's house - my 36 room Grand Obsession will not hold all of the amazing pieces that I want to make..........and I blame it all on you! You inspire, teach and entertain on equal levels - which I am sure is one of the reasons you have garnered 10k subscribers. Thank you for sharing your creativity and talents.
It will be an honor to take that blame George! As always thank you for your encouraging words 💖💖
Wow! Thank you!
WOW, INDEED, THAT IS FANTASTIC

The hinges are brilliant.
You are adorable and this is incredible Thank you.
😊 aww thanks!
those hinges are so clever
Love this video and all your other ones! I never knew you could use paper to make a hinge! Watching your videos has taught me soooo much for when i finally start my own dollhouses. And i love that you have a sense of humor? I have a question. I recently bought some cheap wooden cut outs from Dollar Tree. I remember when you redid the Dollar Tree dollhouse furniture you said to sand it before you paint it. Should I sand the cuttouts before I let my daughters paint them? BTW I LOVE the clock in the background and your name in the floral letters. I wish I was that crafty. Lol.
Thank you so much Traci! I am so glad you are enjoying the videos and I hope you will share with me somehow when you start your project! My best advice for painting on Dollar Store wood items is to sand it first, then put a base coat of white acrylic paint and then sand it one more time after it dries. This will give you the best chance for a smooth painting surface ;)
@@BentleyHouseMinis thank you so much for answering me back. So many times other people won't respond when I ask a question. I appreciate your advice! I wish I lived closer. I would love to sit down and pick your brain. I'm sure I could learn so much from you! I'm not very crafty or imaginative. I usually get my ideas from watching other people hahaha! Anyway thanks for all your awesome videos. BTW, after you said the commercials are how you get paid, I stopped skipping them. Your channel is the only one I don't skip! Lol. Hope you have a great day and keep the videos coming!
🙏🏻Thankyou so much for sharing 💕 I want to try and make this
You are welcome! Happy Creating!!
I am absolutely in love with your channel
Amazing!!!! Great job!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much Dee!
Amazing!!! And congrats!
just for future reference (about uv resin) your molds must be clear in order for the uv light to cure all the resin otherwise only the top layer will cure. You can cure in layers but there’s still a chance it won’t cure all the way.
Just to save you the pain I went through trying to learn. :)
Great tip Elicia!! If someone tries to make the ice cube with UV resin this is important to know for sure ;) Thank you so much💖
Definitely and hopefully it helps you in the future to save you from more uv resin pain :) and no problem anytime!!
What an amazing creation you have shared with us. You must have the patience of Job. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.
Haha thank you Maria! I am not sure about the patience of Job... but I imagine he would have aced these hinges lol! ;)💖
