From one modeler to another, instead of spreading a bead of glue directly onto your model, put a dab of glue onto something disposable and then use a cheap paint brush (like the ones you find in the kids water coloring sets) and 'paint' the glue where you need it. This will prevent using too much glue and having it run down the sides of your model.
This was fabulous! Those teeth things are called burner grates. If you do another stove, you might want to find a photo of the green and cream marbled enamel one as your favorite color is green. Our first stove originally belonged to my husband's grandmother and it was the green marble enamel. It made the most beautiful loaves of bread but due to the tiny oven, was horrendous for a turkey or more than one tray of cookies at a time. The stove was up on legs about a foot and a half from the floor, had the tiny oven on the right, storage on the left and a flat working area above the oven. There was also a cover to pull down over the burners once they were turned off. And yep, that flat counter meant the burners were all crammed together on the left side. Still, it did make excellent bread.
And now I've come to the end of my binge watching your channel and can't wait to see what you have in store on Saturday. Whatever it is--have fun!
Wow I definitely will have to look up a green one! My favorite shade is the avocado green and I would LOVE some day to possibly own a green fridge!! (not sure the husband would go for that though lol) Thanks and see you Saturday!
Dear Ara - congratulations on this wonderful milestone! It's just the beginning - you create so much value for the Mini Community - and the appreciation we feel will only continue to grow!
Also, congratulations on building your website: that is a huge deal!
Thank you for putting in all of the hard work to design this extraordinary piece, teach us how to build it, AND give us the gift of the files! You ROCK!!
😘😍
Thank you Heather! I appreciate all the kind words! Now I just need to create some biz cards to go with my website lol ;)
I downloaded the pattern and will try this. I love the old kitchen appliances. They look so much better in the doll houses whether they are new or old houses to me. Thank you for sharing and you have a great day
Absolutely LOVE this! Have always wanted a stove like this since I saw one at my friend's Aunt's house that she refurbished. Same color too. 💗
Your instructions were very clear and easy to follow
You have grown so much since this started. I enjoy your videos and I’m glad you’re more relaxed and animated. What a great talent. Thank you for sharing your gift and inspiring me. I love MINI everything. I have all types of scrap material and thought about throwing it away, as to not become a hoarder-type “collector” and just end up sitting on that stuff. I’m making a wreath from felt scraps. I made three different mini flowers and stems for the wreath. I’ll give it to my sister as Valentines decor for her front door. I’ll use the rest for doll rooms. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement! My family was saying the same... that I have definitely relaxed more in front of the camera. And I will say my stomach doesn't hurt near as much before live streams!!! Oh yes those scraps can be valuable but quickly take over... its a difficult middle ground. Thanks for the continued support!
Gorgeous!! My Grandma had one in her house similar to your model. She used the largest drawer for flour and the smaller one to store homemade bread. In-between the drawers there was a 'sliding' table where she would prep or cut bread. Love it! I can smell the fresh baked bread...Yummy! Thank you. Much love to all. 🕉
Thanks for sharing your story about this type of stove!! And YUM bread! I will have to look back at my original reference photo and see if I can find that sliding table you mention! :)
Absolutely freaking awesome!!! I am blown away by your creativity with each project but this one to take the time to cad all the specs make prototypes-just amazing at your talent!! It is very obvious that you love what you are doing, as most of us crafters do!! But the talent you have for the architecture and the vision for the design are only topped by how you find ways to make these miniatures look so real using such simple everyday objects like paint, glue, and paper clips. Just phenomenal, Ara!! Thank you so much for sharing!! 💙💙
Awww thanks so much Leslie💕 This comment made me smile so big!! I appreciate the kind words and I just love that I get to share my love for minis with you and my channel!! Big hugs!
Bentley House Minis your love is infectious!!!💙💙💙
HI MY DEAR I AM ONE THAT REQUESTED THE VANTAGE STOVE, THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU ARE AMAZING. BEFORE TO I VIEWED THIS I ALSO MADE A VANTAGE STOVE BEEN MEANING TO SEND YOU A SNAP SHOT. DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT IT BUT I WILL AS SOON AS I RECIEVE MY POTS AND PANS FOR IT. I STILL HAVE ALITTLE TOUCH UP ON PAINTING. AND AGAIN KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
i found your channel last fall and you are such a inspiration! Thanks for the Pattern will try to make the stove for my new old dollhouse. Now you have to design a old icebox fridge to go with the stove.
Thank you so much! I will have to keep that in mind for a future project ;)
This is a wonderful tutorial and you explained things way better than you might think, it really helps both hearing AND seeing how to do it at the same time. You've inspired me to attempt making a 1:12 scale replica of my own coal range oven for a kitchen room box I want to make later on. I think if I hadn't seen this tutorial I would have just taken a more modern route thinking it would be easier. So thank you for the inspiration and encouragement to push my miniature building skills! Keep up the fantastic work Ara
Happy dance happy dance!!!!! Congrats on u and so many subscribers first of all..thanks for sharing and describing your creations so clearly and allowing us to create the same.l!!!thanks again..
Lol thank you Cheri!! I am so happy to share and look forward to seeing what everyone creates!!💕
Thank you for the pattern. My daughter suggested a retro 70s house, so this'll fit in perfectly.
Awesome! I am so glad you can use it!!
Love the tutorial. Not to long. I was chuckling to myself. I have 2, yes 2, antique stoves in my "Little House " real ones.
I love how clear your explanations are
I want this in my cabin! You deserve all the subscriptions... congratulations! This colour is pretty spot on so far as the stoves I have seen in Scotland!
Great to know thank you! I looked at photos for the colors and knew I had to mix it myself probably. I appreciate the kind words!
Just love these vintage stove/ovens! Thank you for creating this wonderful piece but mostly thank you for sharing it! Also the way you designed the pieces makes for a very easy (a goes into b etc.) construction process which you explain beautifully in your video! Love your channel & look forward to new videos😀😊
Thank you so much Karen! I am so glad you enjoyed the tutorial and happy mini-ing!
Huge, heartfelt congratulations on 5k subscribers!! And now, you're less than 900 away from 10k. I'm so proud of you!
Also, thank you for this most darling pattern and tutorial. It is breathtaking!!
Hopefully, I will bump into you at one of our shows in Texas.
Recently, I watched a video where you spoke about a haul (new-ish, avid subscriber!). I can't thank you enough for the video on mentioning S.A.M.! I am delighted to learn about them. I never knew!! 🥰💕
Thank you so much and yes I love getting to meet subscribers in person at mini events! It's so fun! SAM has its big event coming up this Sept in Killeen so be sure to check out their website if you are free then. It's a fun one :)
Wow!!!ive watched it 3 times so far..it’s such a good tutorial..the handles, stove knobs(unreal)!!!llthe pipe.. and burners are amazing!..I don’t know how u come up with this stuff.land your detail technique in painting things to make them look 3D and realistic in all u do is just fab!!!!love love love it..now to make one yeaaa!!!!..
That's awesome!!! I would love to see it when you're done and let me know how the pattern worked for you!!💕
Dear Ara, let me throw a standing ovation!!!!! This was an amazing tutorial. Thanks for all the time and work invested, AND sharing with us mortals. Thank you!!!!! Big hug.
Awww thanks Mariza!! I am more than happy to do this for you and all of my lovely subscriber friends!! Hugs back!!💕😁
Thank you so much for your tutorial - absolutely fab, I haven't yet made it, but want to have one with working cupboards/oven in the future - love the attention to detail, and the vibrant colours. I know you didn't distress this piece, but you do normally and I wonder how many people realise just how hard that is to do as well as you do. Thank you again for your channel x
Thank you for the kind words! I bet this design could be altered to have the doors open but since it was already so complicated I decided to make them non-opening. If I do make it again to distress it and open the doors I will try to show how I do that ;) Thanks for watching!!😁
The pipe was a great detail! I liked all the mini decorations at the end. All the colors were pretty!
I am not a miniaturist but your channel fascinates me. I like learning new things and your whole demeanor is so calming (even when you are frustrated #Fairfield). I put this on and was like "5000 what?". Congratulations on having almost 100,000 more now!
subscribers
You do an excellent job of explaining and modeling your work. I’m very impressed. I’m just now getting started making furnishings for the doll house I built years ago. I subscribed.
Thank you for your kind words and welcome to the channel!!💖
Thank you so much for sharing, I think you are awesome...don't really understand why we are not celebrating 100,000 subs? You demonstrate your hobby so well. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the kind words Juju! Hopefully we will be celebrating 100,000 someday! 5000 has been a milestone I have been looking forward to for a while and now on to the next ;)
Congratulations on surpassing 5000 subscribers! You have built up a lovely channel with loads of really helpful videos and great tutorials. :)
Thank you so much Julie! I appreciate your kind words!!💕
Thank you so much. I was trying to make an antique stove, but it wasn't looking so good. I'm definitely going to use your design.
I am so glad it can help you out Sherry!
You did an excellent job of explaining how to make this very cute stove and I can't wait to get started. Thanks for the gift!
I am so glad it came across well! You are very welcome and happy mini-ing!!
You are so sweet. Thank you so much for all you do. May God's blessings fall upon you.
Wow thank you💕💕 It's my absolute pleasure ;)
Thank you for this! Great instructions and not confusing at all. I am very new to building, but I think I could do this with your pattern and instructions. 😃 Congratulations on hitting 5k!
Thanks for the gift! I bet it was a lot of work since you made it so detailed, but the result is incredible! Congratulations again ♡
Thank you Dani and you are more than welcome! Thank you for your continued support!!💕
I really want to build this cooker. I love it ! Also the colour is tops. Wish me luck eh? And, a great tutorial, well explained.
You are AWESOMSAUCE!!!!! Thank you for giving us this amazing project!!! ❤❤❤ Please post when you re-make it with other finishes and tweaks! Love love love!
Lol thank you Sloane!! Yes I will definitely let you know when I remake it ;)
Thank you so much. This is a wonderful gift. Thank you for the time, care, love, and expertise you put in your videos. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much Anne! That means a lot to me!💖
For the burners use paper clip or thicker bendable wire then find something like a Snapple lid and mold all the pieces!!! If you prefer a square bend use a chop stick lol I always grab a few when I do Asian food , but you get the idea. But great job
Great suggestions! Thank you Teresa!
You are very patient while making mini things
Such attention to detail. You do beautiful work.
Thank you Sandy!
Awesome gift. I can't wait to try to build it. I love your channel. I have a Victorian Alison Jr. Dollhouse from RGT and its in the beginning building stage now. I love how you made yours unique and it's joyful to see it.
Thank you Cassandra!! The Alison JR is a great kit isn't it?? I hope you enjoy creating the stove!
Congratulations, Ara! Geez! Look how many views you got on this in just 1 day! Wow, wow, wow!
Thank you Kat!! Yes this video is doing very well for me ;) It was my most requested item in the comments so it makes sense I guess lol. I hope you're getting all settled in!
Going to make this tomorrow, so stinking cute!!! Thanks for sharing this amazing tutorial, love your work❤️
Love this. Thanks for sharing and have a great day.
What an awesome gift! Didn't request a project, but this is exactly what I needed; your videos are so enjoyable, it's no freakin' wonder you have so many fans! 💝🏡💝
Thank you so much Francine and I am so glad the tutorial will be helpful for you!!😁
Fantastic tutorial, easy to follow along with u, thanku so much xx
The stove looks fantastic, love it and thank you for sharing your pattern with all of us. I have some mat board laying around and now I know what I can do with it. We appreciate all that you do and have shown us. Love your channel, and may it continue to grow. Congratulations on 5000 subscribers.
Thank you so much and I am so glad to share it with everyone!! Have fun putting it together ;)💕
Congrats on reaching this goal! It's only the beginning!
I must be a dad today, because awful punny jokes kept popping up in my head watching this. "Don't paint the face of Q! Picard worked so hard to get him to like people!"
Anyways, excellent tutorial. :)
Thank you Ash!! Lol it's always the perfect time for a Star Trek pun😁
So much detail! Love all things miniature and love all things vintage!
Thank you for your comment!! And thanks for the defense of the "leaning" comment ;) I tend to not argue with people in the comments who see to have already made up their mind. It was definitely a camera angle thing ;)
I’m obsessed with your channel- I LOVE it!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations on such an impressive milestone! The stove is wonderful and I've picked up some very good tips for making a stove insert for a fireplace in my next build.
Thank you Rob and I am so glad the tutorial can be helpful for you! Sounds like an awesome project ;)
Great tutorial. So matte board and cardstock. Cool
Wow... it's so awesome. Thank you for the pattern. Congrats again ara on your channel growing..

I'm so happy your channel is growing, and your new website is very impressive. Oh, and I love the stove.
Thank you Jenny! The website stuff is brand new so not quite sure what to do with it yet lol. I appreciate you checking it out!

Thank you so much Susan!! We just passed 7000 now too!
Congrats! Thanks for the tutorial and pattern. Did you notice what looks like a snake under the stove in the photo!!
You're welcome! Yes I did and it makes me laugh lol. I am pretty sure it made a few people jump who may have visited that antique store in person!
Lol I can imagine. What a blast!
Congratulations! !!!! I love watching your channel grow!!! This was an amazing tutorial. Its not hard to follow at at all !! I want to try this but sized up a little!!! I think it turned out great!! And I looovvvee the retro look!!! Thank you Ara! !!!
Thank you Sarah! I appreciate your continual support!! I can't wait to see what you create with this tutorial ;) It says it on the pattern but if you scale up the pattern make sure you scale up the thickness of your building material so that it still all goes together correctly ;)
btw IDK how I got here but this channel is awesome I really love the way that stove came out
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel!
That was awesome Ara your instructions are perfect. I’ve been wanting to make an oven exactly like this one it’s like you read my mind...So thank you so much this is truly a gift 🎁😍
I am so happy to hear that Karin!! So many have said they have been looking for something like this ... so yay for the most subscriber-requested item!! It always helps to read the comments ;) Thank you for your continued support!
Wow!!! You have some mad skills, thank you! 💜
Absolutely, beautiful. I'm curious if you're possibly going to revisit this pattern with working doors, like the icebox?
P.s. I'm new to miniatures, and your work is wonderful. Thank you.
You explained this so perfectly. Thks
Thank you so much for sharing this with us...Love it...congrats on 5k subbies....I would love to see a dining room set...hutch and table with chairs...tfs
Great suggestions Gloria! I will keep it in mind ;) Thank you💕
Beautifully clear tutorial--and a lovely result!
Thank you so much!
The stove is Adorable 😄
Saved this tutorial to download and
try this in the near future
Great job 👍
Awesome! I hope you will share what you create!!
That was wonderful :) and your model stove is one I saved for reference. My next project is going to be adding a water heater/boiler to the side of the (pre-made) wood cook stove. Thanks for your great work.
Congratulations on getting 5k subscribers Ara, you deserve every one of them. It won't be long before you get that coveted 10k plaque from you tube.
Love the stove and look forward to seeing your industrial version of it. A really fun video :)
Thank you so much Annejuli! I very much looking forward to more milestones so I appreciate that! :)
Congrats belatedly and I love the stove and also the corner fireplace you see at the end. I always end up with new ideas after watching you ..of course I did watch this when it first came out..I find tutorials like this are wonderful reference pieces you can keep going back to!
thank you so much for sharing. This stove is so darn cute!!! PS the picture of the stove that you modeled from has a snake under it!! Yikes!! lol
Thank you Deborah! I saw that about half way into the project lol!!🐍
Great video and thank you for the pattern. I hope you will make more furnitures with pattern, it would be very helpful for minimal-talent miniaturist like me. :D
You are welcome! I will definitely make more in the future ;) Following a tutorial is a great way to grow those skills!!
Thank you SO MUCH, Ara!
You're welcome!! Thanks for watching!
Ok: I actually owned the real stove in those colors....regrettably "Yours looks better than the original did"!
very well explained. awesome great job
Such a pretty stove. I love the idea. The result looks great!
Thank you so much!
@10:16; I see a white stove and I wanna paint it black....
This looks great, I'll have to scale it down to 1:24!
That's awesome! Make sure you scale down the thickness of the material too. If you watched the video of my swap with krakenmakeruckus I scaled down a pattern similar to this by putting together 2 pieces of cardstock... it came out half scale ;)
Loved this video.... Love all your videos. Congrats on the 5k subs. 😉
Thank you so much Tahra!!
Any chance of the kitchen minis patterns be PDFs? I can't seem to print out the correct scale. Thanks also for being so generous with your amazing patterns!
Thanks so much! That's wonderful and i'll make one for my dollhouse :)
I LOVE IT! All I keep saying is "Freakin' awesome!" & that seems just so terribly insufficient. Thank you for all your hard work on this & other projects & congratulations on achieving your 5k goal. As usual, I shared this link on Pinterest for other mini folk to find you. I don't always get to the 'lives', (because - time zones & sleep) but I always wish I was there. When you grow to gigantic, I'll naturally boast about having followed you on here for so long, that I was commenting all by myself on your videos. LOL.
Awww thanks so much Joanne!! 💕 Thank you for sharing my videos... that is one of the best ways for this channel to grow so its much appreciated! I will definitely back you up on your claims... you've been here since I can remember!! 😃 Thank you for your continued support!
Congrats Ara!
Thank you Patti!!
Congratulations. I've just watched a few of your videos. You are amazing and explain things so well
Thank you so much Lea! So glad you are enjoying the videos!
Amazing! Thank you for sharing this with us!
So excited to make this! Im a new subscriber and am loving your channel♡ Where do you purchase the matte paper you are working with?
Hi Stephanie! Welcome to the channel!! I buy matboard at Hobby Lobby in the framing section. If you don't have a Hobby Lobby or craft store nearby I would search out a Framing store as they should have matboard to use inside frames :)
@@BentleyHouseMinis Thank you so much=)
I Would have subscribed a long time ago if i knew you had an Active youtube..Just Realized it and watched ALL of them the past few weeks Great Info Thank You! Very nice New Website ..i think i own the old Addams family bed you created with the A on the headboard
Oh wow hi!! I think that was the very first bed that I made ;) Welcome to the channel and I am so glad you found it!! I switched over from my blog to here making videos and I have been enjoying it! Thank you for watching and joining in!
Hi friend love your channel is awesome Madeline Have a great weekend Congrats on 5000 subs
Thank you so much Madeline!
Love your hair!
Congrats on 5000 subs 👍
You deserve it 😀🌹
Thank you so much💕
Thank you for the pattern. I'm going to modify so that I can open doors with tiny hinges. I'm making my stove for my spooky witches Victorian house. I think a witch needs an oven to throw in an occasional kid! Lol!😆
Sounds awesome Laura! I adapted this pattern to have opening doors for the kit in my store. So if you want to see how I did that you can check it out on my Kit channel 'Bentley House Kits' ;) I hope it will help your process!
Hello! I'm trying to figure out where I can purchase the "matboard" ?
Hoping I can get it from hobby lobby lol.
Also Ara, I have a (super) small RUclips channel where I'm wanting to make a few of your furniture pieces using your patterns (and tutorials) would that be ok to include in my video? For reference I'm working on a vintage strawberry shortcake doll upcycle and making them a doll house. So it would be a "can I make this?" And the results lol.
I'm planning on trying a few of the cardboard house furniture pattern first since I have cardboard handy.
And I'm going to do two as a challenge for myself on video to share in my dollhouse.
I do so love this project and the matching icebox, so hopefully I'll work my way up to these!!
God bless and have a wonderful day
Thanks for your time and consideration to share.😍😘😘
You are very welcome!!
@@BentleyHouseMinis thanks for your time and consideration to respond back to me 😘😍😍
@@BentleyHouseMinis great to hear from you again 😘😘😍
Beautiful!! Congratulations!!
Thank you so much😊
You deserve so many more subscribers. Such great content
😊 Thank you!
That’s incredible,you are so gifted❤️
Thank you!💕💕
Thankyou for this tutorial. Can't wait to try it out.
Be sure to share if you do! I'd love to see!!
Love, love this!!! Wow!!
Finally catching up!! Love the stove!! Thanks for the tutorial!
You are so welcome!! Thank you💕
Brilliant! Love it!
Congratulations on 5000 I am having the hardest time finding 1/16 foam board any ideas where to get some ? Thanks so much !
Thank you so much!! In the tutorial I am using mat board which is a little bit different than foam board. Matboard is the stuff that they use to create matts around framed artwork. So any craft store or art store that does framing should have sheets of it around. A popular brand name for it is "Crescent Board". It can also be purchased on Amazon. I hope that helps!! If you are really wanting 1/16" foam board I am not sure I have ever seen that.
Fabulous! Would you make a working stove? Where all doors open?
Maybe one day I hope!
Yaaay !! It's wonderful ! 👍👍👍
that's AMAZING! thank you!
Do you sell furniture patterns? Your work is very good and I would love to see more patterns for miniature furniture from you. Thank you for sharing this video with us
Thank you Bunny Crafts! I don't sell any patterns. Typically anything I show in a video I have for free in a link in the description below. I plan to do another detailed pattern like this one when I hit 10,000 subs ;)
