Please note: We're just a couple of Mates hanging out in the shed, There's no big production companies, fancy cameras or Scripts, We love what we do and try our best to create quality content for you to enjoy every week. Sometimes that includes a Supercharged LS2, Other times it's as simple as bolting on some wheels to our daily drivers. Don't forget that working on cars isn't easy and can be dangerous. Use Ya Brain and take the necessary safety precautions whenever you're modifying your car. Consume Lemon Squash responsibly & Thanks for watching.
#nissan #patrol #4x4
Thanks Woody! Really stoked for you mate. I was super sad when Al announced the new step in his life but you've made this channel your own. Quality work mate.
Man I miss Al so much 😪 this channel is awesome 👌 don't get me wrong seeing Woody spread his wings and was Al's choice to step back....this channel has found its neich and is going well....but I miss the nerdy stuff that only Al can bring making something out of nothing making stuff work when it shouldn't.....
I hope there will be some Al in the future, showing up here and there and us beeing giddy as kids when he comes around :)
Love the "Artwork" sprayed on the window!!
😂 boys will be boys
Haha, I came to the comments to see if it was mentioned, was not disappointed 😆
Stoked to hear that you are doing well and most importantly that you're happy. Keep up with the great content mate, just don't burn yourself out. We can wait a week with no vids so you get some down time.
It’s hard to burn myself out when I love what I do!
hose on drill bit, quite practical idea. Thanks mate!
I recon you look like Riddick from pitch black 😂
That rig is going to be off its head, great build Woody, living the new shed brother, keep on keeping on!!
Great vid, always wanted to see speeding particles of media smashing a GoPro
know it ya put saran wrap on the inside of the sand blaster window, it wont fog over as it gets used... just replace the wrapper.
You need a dog to mount the gopro on while you work. lol. Thanks woodie, good to see things are working out.
That Harup Supercharged 6L gu4 Patrol will be a amazing Car Well Done Work 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Love you Woody, but miss cousin Al. Keep up the great work.
I’m going to laugh my arse off when we get 15 years into Woodie doing the Skid Factory and he has slowly morphed into looking like Al. Then the training will be complete.
Love the organic voiceover yaps
Glad to see you taking on this project Woody, keep up the good work!
Who this Al youse talking about? Woodie's smashing it. Juice.
That Blit wagon though?! 😍
May need to put a bleeder on that heater hose, looks to be a bit higher than the fill point..
With A90 Supra rims..ohh yeah!
Agree Re the high air bleed point. Lucky I checked the comments to see if someone had already said it.
Malibu wagon??? Yes please!
It’s the burrito bus!
What pressure does the auto run compared to the power steering.?
I think the high pressures can be 300psi for autos, and 1500psi for power steering, but I don't know what the pressures are on the return lines.
"D for do it" 😂
You should buy an pneumatic nut sert gun, life changing tool 🤩
The sandblasting gopro worked way better than expected!
Probably should’ve used an old GoPro instead of my new
GP10 lol
Moist
Hope your keeping the cruise control
Are you using the Dakota Digital STA 1000 OB2 interface module?
Great work mate. Its coming along very well. She will be an awesome family rig when she is done 👍
Ah the pain of buying parts for a custom conversion, holding them up to the job before realizing you can't use them...I know it well haha.
The one beautiful 🐔 on the office window bro 🤣
When wizards grow up they become sparkies like Tommy
Well done woody, it's definitely different with the change but definitely still the skid factory
I always wanted a patrol but I was always afraid if I got one in the USA parts might be hard to get, hell after watching this I just want to slap a 5.3 in one of these 😂
Awesome AF Woody. I can't wait to hear some good whine!
You know I love a good whine with my twincharger... 🤣
Gopro in the sandblaster was the best YT this week!!!
P.s. your hands in the gloves reminded me of cookie monster.
Shlong on the window
Does Tommy have his own business care to share his details . Looking for an auto spark for my job
the skid factory lives!!!
Love the way the shop is going and how the channel is going. Keep it up bro
Who doesn’t love to “clearance the block.” 😂😂
The Giant mushroom painted on the window 😂 gold
Heat gun and bend the shifter around the transfer case as needed.
Sandblaster shot was worth it mate. Cheers for the vid.
New episode on my mechanics. Part 4
Awesome work Woody see you on sunday at Lakeside 🙂
"6AN for a fuel line" did I hear that right?
Yes, -6A/N for the fuel line as a “dead head” system.
@@theskidfactory ah I thought I heard you say - 8 on the fuel reg and all that in the last episode! Keep up the good work! Love the swapped 4wd content
Be like Al and fight the bogan default lol.
Get on kevo
Any chance of getting more info on the black station wagon in the backgound at 1:47? Thing looks like a weapon
No doubt I’ll have it in the shed in the future! That’s Jordy’s Toyota Blit, such a nice car!
Nice.
Good shit woody
Free reign, not free roam woods
If you are not using a interchiller I would recommend a big arse push fan, or 2, on the intercooler heat sink/radiator to help with the low speed loads that a 4WD would see in the bush. I run a HTV2300 on a LS1 and has issues with high IAT, coolant temps were fine, but, basically cruising around in traffic, seen IAT of 50°C, and up to 80°C on occasion when under load for an extended time due to heat soak.
I went interchiller to fix this, but maybe I just needed a big arse push fan to help.
Meh, the interchiller keeps my IAT to normally around 25°C and maxes out at around 30°C under extended load
Keep up the good work, and yes "cars are fun"
Monitoring your IAT will dictate what is, or isn't required when loading the big girl up in the bush
I feel a little sorry for Woody... Love The Skid Factory but seeing views decline since Al's departure must be tough (monetary wise) for Woody.
I hope old viewers come back and new viewers find this amazing channel.
Makin good progresss there Woody.
side note- surely with those heater hoses being up so high, won't this be a total PAIN to bleed the coolant system???
Yeah might take a bit longer but won’t be a worry with a bucket bleed! Might even buy one of those fancy vacuum bleeders
@@theskidfactory or add a brass ball valve at the high point?
Mad work your doing but look Into how a belt to tight can cause a lot off damage to your motor im no expert but iv been shown by a old timer
It’s an odd sized belt and the local shop could only supply a 6PK3010, I need a 3036 but also a Heavy Duty Belt. Got one coming from townsville should be here next week!
Tickle the algorithm. Tickle, tickle.
Great video mate 👍
Welcome to the bolt on factory
Love your work dude. Be sure to get the scale off the welds or splatter before painting or there's no point hey.
You are doing great Woody! It is awesome you get to do what you love and it makes you happy!
Supercharger on the BB would be nice Woody. 😉
Hey Woody should of put a v12 in it
Will have to make it ready for next years 4x4 drags
Just a simple LS bolt in swap....NOT
Love the patrol mate
looking good, can't wait to hear the super charger whine
Where’s the intro music gone, need it back!
Love the content mate, still hope to see the Patrol do a shed skid its a must.
Let's ogg woody!!
Who’s the Sasquatch you got in to do the wiring?
Woody, an observation on lighting: I saw that floodlight dangeling from the hood. You might wanna look into getting a lightstick that clamps onto the hood. It's low profile and shines light across the whole width. I think they are called "car underhood worklight". ✌️
Yeah man lighting is still pretty shocking in the shed! Waiting on my brother to come back around but he’s busy fishing 😂
Use ya brain 😂
Killing it bro!! Keep up the good work
At least you didn’t buy marks 4WD relocation brackets , everything was out of alignment, I ended up throwing the hole kit in the bin , was so far out of whack
😢 don’t tell me that!
@@theskidfactoryI went through 3 belts just dynoing my cruiser , also had to use a modified manual tensioner so stop throwing belts , the belt was 2770mm long so it got a big whip up when comin off the throttle and dump the belt
👌
wiring was awesome and interesting with Al , no disrespect to tommy but i miss al even more when electrical is being done, and dare i say Al seemed to get most of the parts ordered right wheras woody is having to send lots of parts back and made the mistake of leaving the parts in the box without checking them out thereby causing delays!
I’m just showing how it is in real life mate, we would previously hide a lot of stuff when things went wrong.
Thanks captain hindsight Phil
We can’t all be perfect like Phil
@@rolly4x4 and yet here you are pulling your Lil pipe dreaming of being me! Poor Rolly. I am only saying what many think but won't post for fear of upsetting woody. Still does not change my opinion and never will.
@@theskidfactory I absolutely respect the personal sacrifice you have made both financially and at the cost of family life but it doesn't change my statement. Measure twice cut once for instance with ordering parts and spending a couple minutes checking what you were sent is the least people deserve.and as for the AL thing it's like people preferring old school cars over the crap electric Jesus is peddling . And yep I am prepared to have people bash my comments if it stings enough to maybe helping you get better just to stick it up me because you do deserve to succeed! Maybe talk to rich from deboss garage and try to snag the southern hemispheres first diesel electric conversion like what he is doing. Great content and a huge Potential business .
Was that what i think it was painted on the window?
Beard meats food music vibes
THANK YOU FOR DETAILED VIDEO
I'd buy a "Cars Suck" hat
keep it up Woody.
Tommy’s eyes are bloody close together
Yeah with a head like that he should consider a career in radio
5:40 😂 "Super excited"
😂
I miss Al's humility.
