    Thanks for the the honest review. I have Bridgestone A40 in the back with 8.000 kms and it's about halfway its life. In the front the Bridgestone A41 with the same kms but it already needs replacement. But in the rain they are pretty good. I was looking for something more off road but, I think I will buy the same ones.

    Your review is bang-on. I have the same problem with the front Mitas E07+ losing air from the bead. I finally had to throw a tube in.

      I'm losing about 0.2- 0.3 bars a week. Not at the rear though.

      zendebeu that’s not bad. I was losing that much on my stock tires that came on my R1200GS.

    In 2017 I put the E07 Dakar on my AT. I got 14k miles on the rear and it handled awesome. I put the E07 + on but had been spolied by the Dakar. The + was not nearly as good handeling as the Dakar. I found the front Dakar to be poor handeling.

    Great review, thank you! ... and they ARE great tyres, got them on my Africa Twin ... 13000km and counting, will be good for another 2000km still!

    Thank you for the great review, you made me really happy because im in Kazakhstan and got stuck due to a flat rear. (It was road tyre with structural damage, cannot be fixed) there are simply no tyres available in this country, after 2 weeks of riding second-hand sh#t tyres from locals I finally managed to order a set of Mitas E07 for my GS to Astana. Im travelling around the world with my fiancee (2up) and we are also overloaded just like you said. I think the tyre pressure is a really important factor if you talking about lifetime of a tyre. What pressure did you use 2up + load for these tyres? Many thanks. Cheers, Aron

      Hey buddy glad you manadge to sort things out for you and very happy for you been able to do a trip i dream about. To be honest i used normal 2.9 bars on the rear and never bother to drop thepresure on off road. If the surface is rocky i will drop a bit the presure just to be on a safe side. Enjoy your trip man!!!

    I am new to the channel so bare with me for a maybe stupid question. You mentioned the Ktm 1190 Adventure. It would be fantastic with a comparison of the BMW R 1200 GS and the KTM 1190 Adventure as I am really stuck in the process of deciding which one of the 2 bikes I should buy.

      Hi Bjorn, I have a gsa and I will never swap for a ktm, for the simple reason that ktm has a chain and bmw doesn't apart from that is a personal choice

    I have been trying to get these tires on my wheels and they are impossible. Took them to a motorcycle repair shop and even they can't do it by hand. They are reluctant to use the machine because I have a huge hub motor in the rear wheel

    What tyre you would choose for a 1200 GSA fully loaded if you were planning mostly asphalt trip in fair weather with the odd rains. I had Michelin Anakee 3 and
    Continental Attack 1 but I'm looking for something better in terms of grip on the wet and long life (noise and fuel economy a plus)

    • @frankofodor
      @frankofodor  4 года назад +1

      Well given the fact that my riding is a bit havy on the throttle i always went for harder compound to give me a bit more miles..... Like for example anakee 3 will give me around 6000 miles rear..... But on the other end i had metzeler roadtec01 that lasted only 3000 miles(very soft)... Currently on conti attack 3.... Good grip dry or wet..... Not sure how many miles i can get out of them but will tell you in about 3 weeks after i finnish my trip around portugal. Stay tune and consider subscribe if you not done all ready. Thanks for watching

      Ferry Fodor tnx pls report back after Portugal I’m in no major hurry. As I mentioned i had the first generation of conti attacks on my 1200 GSA and they where good but worn out very quickly. Which is why I changed to Anakees ; which are ok but not as grippy (esp in the wet) as my Contis which is why I’m in the look out for smt different eg Tourance Next Metzeler or the Dunlop trailsmart. So I’m gathering opinions from various serious users. I wouldn’t mind gong bak to the contis if life has been prolonged.

      @@dimitristsagdis7340 trip done and i got an answer for you. So this conty i reckon i can squeeze out of them 4500 miles maybe 5000 miles if you ride solo. Good tyre overall but a bit to soft and to be honest with all the softness i still lost grip a few times on front end but all good in theend. Hope this answers to your questions
