    I've tried a load of motorcycle tires too. My favs so far- Bridgestone T32 for road bikes, Shinko 705 for dual sports. Thanks for the video.

    I may try the motoz GPS front and rear. I ride a 1250gs. Looks like good reviews from other riders as well. Great video by the way! Thanks for sharing all of your experiences with so many different tire selections.

    1250 GSA Front E07+ non-Dakar 14,700 kms. Rear Mitas E07+ non-Dakar 7,250 kms. The front was better than the rear sealed or unsealed. Will not use the Mitas rear again as kms is poor. Both OK in the wet. Later, fitted a Mitas E07+ Dakar front (as no non-Dakar available). I had to run at 30 psi to get some flex into the sidewalls and generate some heat & grip. Especially when wet/cold.
    Ran a Motoz Dual Venture front and grip off road better than the E07+ but removed at 5000 kms and it was about half worn. Bit too much tread block squirm on sealed roads, especially compared to the E07+ which feel rock steady and very quiet.
    Of all the many various front tyres i have used on a 1200 GS & 1250 GSA, the E07+ non Dakar is imo the best, with longevity, grip on & off road, wet or dry and it is smooth & quiet.
    The rear is more about longevity for me and the Trailmax Mission was my favorite with 15,000 kms. An exceptional road tyre wet & dry, quiet & smooth. Works surprisingly good off road as well.
    Goldilocks combo for me was E07+ front & Trailmax Mission rear.

      I agree with you about the E07+ front tire. Great on the road, pretty good off road and lasts a very long time.
      I don't have any experience with the Trailmax Mission yet. Next time I have a really high mileage road trip planned, I'll likely run a Trailmax Mission rear, combined with an E07+ front.

    Great video. I mounted a Dual Venture on the front of my 701 Enduro, and it was terrifying. I don't understand how Motoz can even sell those tires.

      Yeah, I was not a fan of the Dual venture, but the Tractionator Adventure is my favorite rear tire. I wish Motoz made something similar to the Mitas E-07 front, but a little more off-road focused.

    You should look into the Anankee Adventures from Michelin. Ive had two sets and the first rear tire lasted about 9k miles. Could've gone longer, but the Revzilla Black Hills rally was coming up and I put a new one on.
    It's an 80/20 tire that rides great on the road. (I love Michelin rubber) offroad it handled really well. I got a lot of compliments on how well the bike did for my first actual dirt and having the GT tiger 900. I will be getting a more aggressive tire for future rallies, but only for those events. Day to day, I'm always confident on dirt (all gravel near me), roads, and dry grass. You can really push the tire.

    Paul from Australia, Motoz are Australian tyres “ well owned anyway “ 😂😂, I have used most of the Motoz , the Desert HT - by far BEST off road “ legal road tyre going BUT and it’s a BIG ONE ☝️, the noisiest tyre I have EVER run on road . The Motoz Rallz probably the BEST Motoz for on and off road grip ( even in heavy rain on asphalt ) that’s were the Motoz Tractioner ADV fantastic wear , and grip off and on road - in dry only .

    I have e07+ front, dakar rear on africa twin 1100 dct. The 1st 500 miles it felt square! They now behave very well!! Great on road and yet to let me down on gravel, mud, wet! For my next set, Ax41 or motoz adventure/rally, or tusk2? Or a combo? Mainly road, but I'm happy to sacrifice road handling for a tyre that will be good in the rough!!

    So, you would put the Mitas e07+ (non-dakar) for the front tire and the Motoz Tractionator on the rear for an ideal blend of long distance highway with extended offroad riding on the same set of tires? I'm looking for this combo for a trip for next year on a combination of lots of road and substantial offroad gravel and trail.

      @deeswiggins4331  27 дней назад +1

      Yes, a Mitas E07+ (non-Dakar) in the front with a Motoz Tractionator Adventure in the rear, is the best combination that I've found my my particular needs. I will continue to try different tires. But if I'm leaving on a long ADV road trip, that's my go to tire setup.

    This is a fantastic video. I know tire videos get monotonous but these types of videos are invaluable for adv riders.
    Have you considered trying the Dunlop Trailmax mission and raid? I’d like to hear your opinion on those. Seems like the general consensus is the mission is a great tire for Alaska

    • @deeswiggins4331

      I did consider the Trailmax mission, before I put the TKC70s on. Missions in my size were sold out around the country at the time (April 2022). I'll likely stick with the E07+ front and Motoz Adventure rear for the foreseeable future. It's been a good combination of longevity, good highway manners and off-road performance.

      I've heard good things about the GPS tires, but I wanted something a bit more aggressive off road. If I had a road trip of over 8000 miles planned, I would definitely run the GPS for a rear tire.

    • @RealHooksy
      @RealHooksy 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@deeswiggins4331 I understand.
      The gps can be run in opposite directions, one is more aggressive than the other, but having the continuous central strip makes them good for the highway sections and depending on how off road you need them they are very good in the dirt too.
      I have mine in 50/50 direction, with a dv tubeless type (with tube) on the front.
      A good combo for me, but I’m only on a Suzuki xf650 so I’m not doing much high speed highway riding.
      Happy trails mate 😎

    Quick question. Did you run the tyres at BMW recommended pressures? Any lower/higher could have contributed to your weave problem.

    • @deeswiggins4331
      @deeswiggins4331  Год назад

      Yes, I do use BMW's recommended tire pressures. I've also tried experimented with different pressures to see if it changes the severity of the weave.

      On the front, and I would definitely recommend the Mitas E07+ (Now known as Enduro trail+). For the rear, I would run a Motoz Tractionator Adventure, or a Motoz GPS, if you're willing to give up some performance in exchange for Mileage.

    You don’t mention what pressures you ran in the tyres. TKC70 is an awful tyre. I actually wore the front out before the rear on my Tiger 1200. I run Mitas EO7’s on my new tiger 900 RP.

    • @deeswiggins4331
      @deeswiggins4331  Год назад +1

      I ran 36 psi front and 42 psi in the rear. I tried experimenting with different pressures in the front, in an attempt to reduce highway speed weave on a few of the tires.
      I agree with you on the TKC70. I'm not a fan of that tire. There are so many better options available.

    Watching this after realising that my Mitas 7+ in rear is about to die soon, it has done about 7K Kms and I was expecting a bit more from it. Surprisingly, the original Anakee adventure (OEM) were good for 10K Kms and a bit more silent. Then I was split between the Anakee Wild and Mitas 7+ but I could not find the wild. Question- have you had any air leak issues with the front Mitas &+ and TPMS issues? cheers!

    • @deeswiggins4331
      @deeswiggins4331  2 месяца назад

      Actually yes. I did have a slow leak on my front E07+. I was losing about 1 PSI per day. I put a little Tire Slime in the tire and it fixed the issue. The Tire Slime was labeled as "Safe for TPMS" and it didn't seem to have any negative effects on tire balance, or TPMS.

      It does very well on highways, dry and wet. Cornering at speed feels safe and solid. I need to replace mine at 10,000 kms on a Tuareg. The front tire is a little sketchy cornering on dry dirt roads with loose sands or pebbles -not much side traction, you feel the tire drifting pretty easily.

    I can somewhat tolerate using "imperial" in some cases (Americans being Americans), but - I am sorry - using it for tread depth is just stupid. How does it make more sense to say 5/16ths or 3/32-nds (whatever that means) over 4mm or 11mm? FFS.
