    okay i really didn’t know if this would work or not but i figured its worth the try. i really wish i could show y’all before and after pics because the difference in my lips/philtrum is crazy. i’m 21 so i’m not sure if age affects how well it works but before my cupid’s bow had no definition and my philtrum was long and not perky at all, i started doing it consistently and after about 2 weeks i can already see a difference and it lasts all day i don’t have to do it throughout the day for it to last. i was seriously considering getting a lip lift because i was so insecure about it but i feel so much better about how i look in pictures and my side profile. and now when i wear lip liner it makes my lips look sooo much more perky and plump i love ittttt.

    I have been doing this exercise for about 6 weeks. I swear to God, this is working for me. My upper lip cupids bow has more definition and I swear the gap between my nose and upper lip is closing. This exercise is the bomb, thank you so much for this!

    y’all this works! i noticed a difference just after a week and ever since i’ve been doing this every night for about 2/3 months out of habit and i love how it leaves the philtrum defined!! thank you peta so much

    Hi Peta, I started your exercises two weeks ago very seriously . I am 69 looking younger but still gravity and lack of tone are here and can see the beginning of a change.Your videos are the most professional, the most serious. I tell all my friends to start following you . I can't get over how beautifully shaped and toned your face is and I absolutely love your personality , the exercises are not tiresome !! :) as it is so enjoyable to do them in your company .     Ok, I snuck in another exercise with the beginners 2 level just to see if there was one that helped shrink the philtrum area as it's an issue for me.... so I found this one. I used my granddaughter's unopened toothbrush that I had for her here and gave it a try, and wow! Even after doing it at one sitting I could see a difference (I'm sure it's only temporary as I haven't done it enough times to actually be more permanent.) It looks like my upper lip is turned up a bit like I'm pouting! Thank you so much for taking the time to assure us that we must be diligent and patient Peta :)

    Ok i must be crazy! I did the routine once and I can totally see the lift! Yes i know i have to keep it up for permanent results but its amazing to see how it could look!

    HOLY.MOLY..i was quite skeptical until i tried this exercise.i didnt had a toothbrush so i used my finger..i was doing the exercise along with the video and looked after in the mirror.WELL DONE,JUST WELL DONE,i will do this every day

    Ive been doing this for about two weeks and measuring any changes and I've already lost 4mm off my philtrum length. I don't notice a huge difference though yet just by looking. Idk if this is also a thing but I think that the width of my nostrils are narrowing too which was unexpected. I will update again in two weeks

    Thank you, this worked! However is the result due to swelling (which I assume would dissolve quickly after some minutes/hours) or is it something that can be a bit more permanent if we perform the exercise everyday?

    I have been doing the face routines religiously. I have progressed from series 1 to series 3 from easy to strong. I am very pleased with the changes in my face. My chin was starting to look square but is taking on a more V shaped appearance. The only difficulty I have had so far with the exercises is the lip exercise in series 3. That is why I switched it up for the Philtrum Lifter. You said you have other exercises for the lip area ... please tell me which ones to use as a substitute for the exercise in level 3. Thank you beautiful lady!

      Hi Cher, I am so glad to hear you are getting results. However I am very adamant about not changing or switching the exercises in any of the routines. This is because all of the exercises will be used in the routines, and when you come to the next one, you might be over exercising the area. So, I encourage everyone, when they find the exercises difficult to persevere until they get it. Hope that helps.

    The last few months I've notcied this muscle pulls my face down faster than anything during the day & causes me to squint. I have to rub it hard several times a day to release it. So I am definitely going to add this one to my routine.

      +FACEROBICS® - Your Face Exercise Coach I've only been doing it for a week or so now, & I'm not having to rub this area several times a day to make it 'let go'. Only 3 times the last few days, & it only takes a second or two to make it release. Before I had to rub & rub & rub & push & push. My face is more comfortable now. :)

    very nice exercise, i have had my upper frenulum removed completely on a surgery, my phyltrum is getting longer than it used to be.
    Do you think the exercise will work even do i dont have upper lip frenulum anymore?

    Thankyou Peta, this is a good one, I really need to work on this area as I feel my philtrum looks longer as I have aged. I believe it has always been longer than average so dont need it looking even longer!! as I think this is not an attractive look. Infact this was something else I managed to add to my list of not satisfied about after googling about philtrums and finding out for average female perfect length is 12 or 13mm mine is way bigger than that!! In a way the internet is a curse finding out this stuff, but you on the other hand are a blessing:) I hope by lifting the area it can look a little shorter?

    Hi Peta.. Can I do this exercise while on my series 2? Coz I checked all your exercise series but I didn't find this included in there.. I so loved this exercise coz it worked for me, I don't wanna lose doing it. Can I add it? Can I still do this?

      Hi Thagi, you cant change the routines as you could start over exercising. there are 6 Exercise along with me series, and there are similar exercises for that area in those as you move through the series. here is the Facerobics Program and how to follow it properly - renewme.com.au/where-to-start-and-how-to-use-the-facerobics-face-exercise-program-for-your-face-exercise-success/. With this program you must be doing a full face routine, if you don’t, you run the risk of causing more sagging and wrinkling of the skin. This is because the program is a very strong exercise program. Everything, along with the Exercise Along With Me videos are in the playlists on this channel. Make sure to work thru the series as instructed starting from Series 1 to Series 6. When you get to Series 6 (if there is not a new series) start at Series 1 again and move thru the program again. All of the explanation videos are in the information bar at the top right hand corner of the video, the little circle, just click on it, or in the playlists on the channel. Also if you haven’t already remember to subscribe and hit the notification bell also, as the program is forever evolving and you could miss out on updates. I would encourage you to go to the playlists and watch the beginner videos, and techniques before you start.

    Hi Peta, can you explain how this exercise will make the philtrum shorter? Isnt facial exercises basically enlarging the muscles in our face? I have a thick and slightly convex upper lift and I scare to make it worse

    Hi Peta, thankyou for the video, though I am hoping you will be able to explain a bit more, as I don't think I 'get it'. Specifically, which facial muscles is this aiming to exercise, and how exactly does exercising those affect the philtrum. Also, I'm not sure I follow the reasons for lifting up the philtrum and 'wrapping' the skin around the philtrum lifter. Doing the exercise, I don't notice any 'activation' of any philtrum muscles, plus I'd be surprised if repeatedly flaring the nostrils, over time, didn't make the nostril lines sharper and more pronounced. Would be grateful for your comments & insights.

      soflonds Hi Soflonds, thanks for asking. I designed this exercise in this manner because our skin has memory, similar to when the skin forms wrinkles. When we do the same expressive movements all the time, ie, smiling, lifting the eye brows, frowning etc they, over time, form wrinkles as the skin has memory, so, the act of wrapping the skin gently around the lifter will help the memory of the movement. There are no muscles in our lips per se, however, if you strengthen the obilcularis oris more, it will help the lips to sit up. The theory behind face exercises, is, if you strengthen the muscles they tone and grow gently, and the skin then gently stretches over the muscle. With the nose movements and flaring the nose, if you do the nose exercise, it firms then nasal muscles and the nose strengthens and firms. My own nose is testimony of this, as when you do face exercise, particularly a full face routine, all of the muscles work together, pulling up and firming the whole face. I hope that helps!

    Just wondering, what would a shorter philtrum do for the face? Penelope Cruz has a natural short philtrum and I don't find that attractive at all.

    Thank you Peta for the video Face Exercise - How to Make Your Face Symmetrical with this Facial Workout Technique! but what exactly lip exercises should i do to make it even? I have suggestion but i want your opinion, for the exercise Face Exercise - Try the Lip Plumper - Plump Your Lips Fast with this Facial Exercise! i think i need to focus on my left side of lip because that is thinner and shorter side then the right side but i m not sure how to place my upper index finger can you give any suggestion and for this exercise Face Exercise - Add The Philtrum Lifter to your Face Exercise Routine ! i m not sure how to do it to fix my specific problem. I can not wait to hear your suggestion.

      Hi Nikolina, you can do any lip exercise that will help with your problem. Just do them as I show, but incorporate the focus principles that I teach in the Symmetry video. The whole idea of that video is to focus your concentration when doing the exercises to help make your face even again. So, just pick one of the lip exercises and give it a go. I hope that helps!

      +SumaiyaSumaiyah Sajja - Sumaiya, do not change the EAWM Series, please. There is a reason I say this. if you need to use this exercise, create your own routines. If you over exercise the lip area you will get more wrinkles and there is a lip exercise in Series 3. So you need to either just practice the EAWM Series or create your own routines. There is a new video about this that I have done recently.

    Hello, Peta. Can this be added as an extra to the EAWM programme from the basic programme level 1? Also, you mention that the angle of the philtrum lifter can enhance for greater or lesser lift. For greater lift would the philtre lifter be flat against slip or angled away at 45 degrees?

      Mikey you cant change the program. A similar exercise to this is in Series 6. The program is balanced and the exercise series offer a balanced program so you cant change them. just follow the program and over time your face will be fully exercised

      It will help somewhat, but I have other exercises for that, also, you must be doing them as part of a full face routine, and not spot exercise as you will get more wrinkles in that area

      Rita Peters Hi Rita, how are you? The difference is that you are lifting the Philtrum here, not the nose. The Philtrum sags as we age, and this exercise lifts it up again, hopefully to help us look younger. Also, the skincare is about 6 weeks away. I will let everyone know when it arrives!     Hi Peta I love ur videos ..
    Lately I've been plumbing my upper lip with a pencil cap ( plumbing it inside my mouth not on the showing part of the lip ) then I started to notice that my philtrum is getting longer maybe because the skin is stretching dunno.. anw I tried ur exercise and I noticed a difference immediately..how long should I keep on doing the exercise to notice a permanent result

    Hi Peta
    My question is a little unrelated to this video but i wanted to ask you anyway.
    I have noticed that my face has become asymmetrical after an orthodontic treatment. When I smile, the left side of my lip or rather the cheek does lift as much the right side does. Also, I feel that my left cheek is not as flexible as my right cheek. I hope you get what i mean.
    Do you think that can be treated? I don't want to get any cosmetic work done.

    Just wanted to make sure that this will NOT shorten the nose. I actually would like my nose to be lengthened and the tip pointing down. I do have a nice and high bridge for an Asian, but my nose is a tad wide and the nostril is a little visible... Thanks!

    So, I don't have much of a philtrum and I want that " V " indent on my lips so they look like this 💋 and will doing this exercise help with my goal? My lips are very rounded and doesn't really have much of that heart lip shape and I really want that. And what will this exercise do?

      +Faith Buckmire Phillips - Hi Faith, the exercise will help tone and shape the philtrum. Make sure to do it as part of a full face routine however, and not stand alone.

    7:25 so when flaring nostrils, it's not flaring it outwards/sideways, but just moving the nose in a downward direction? I just wanted to clarify because "flaring" makes me think of the typical flaring where nostrils go outwards towards the ears. Thanks!

    Okay, Peta. Thank you for your reply. I will keep trying the exercise even though the area under my nose doesn't bulge out the way yours does. I figured I was doing something wrong. However, I shall persevere. : ) One final question ... should I being doing the full face routine every day or 6 days a week. Thank you!

    I am trying now to put 5 exercises together that I think I need for my face... I don't feel good in doing the Level 3...     When you say this exercise tones the philtrum, do you mean it will make a defined philtrum appear softer, or vice versa?

      +Inwa Elle - Hi Inwa, face exercise, as will all exercise on the body, tones the body and muscles, this is what it does to our face. Tone meaning firms. Hope that helps

      I have the same questions & sorry but your answer doesn't help much. Maybe just me though... lol Let me try to explain... Suddenly I've actually noticed my philtrum, like it has become suddenly, very dented/indented. I'm not wanting to "lift" it, at least not by my definition of lift. I simply want to make it less prominent/softer again. Hope that makes more sense now. Thanks for any help you can offer.

      Let me try to explain, maybe it is just me though lol - I am trying to say that if you exercise your face you will tone your face. So, if you do a full face routine, you will tone and firm your face along with your top lip area. You need to do a full face routine regularly to firm and tone the muscles on your face INCLUDING the top lip area. But you cannot exercise it too much because you will then create more wrinkles in that area. There is a fine balance when practising facial exercises and what I attempt to do on the channel is give people a very solid frame work to work with. So, my answer is you need to do a full face routine regularly to make it less prominent or softer again. You cannot spot exercise that area.

    Peta, maybe someone already asked and you answered, but why do we need to go easy on this exercise, and how do we define "easy"?

      Glezele Vayne Hi Glezele, no, no one has asked yet! When I say go easy, I mean do the exercise lightly. It is a very sensitive area, and it just needs to be exercised lightly, and although it will take longer, we want it to move into a nice lifted shape. I hope that makes sense, lol!

It's a great plan and I keep reminding myself that I'm getting younger everyday! It's Spring here and I went out for a hike today and saw a porcupine come out of hibernation.     hi peta, can i do some of the exercises twice a day. will it give me better results. i have been doing carole maggio exercises for a few years and getting bags at side of my mouth

      Hi Carol, you cant do the exercises twice a day. You need to give your muscles time to rest. I know I have done it too in the past, because I wanted it to happen faster, but it doesnt. Infact, if you do too much, you will cause more wrinkles because the muscles fatigue. It is just like if you go to the gym and do too much, as the muscles are exactly the same. So, only once a day, rest for 24 hours and then do them again. Also, you need to change the exercises around, that is why I created the Exercise Along with Me series, so people can have some different routines. I hope that helps

    When u say flare the nose, outwards? Or inwards? It looks like ur doing it inwards. And that's when we tend to frown. But flaring means outwards. So I am confused. Please help!

    so is this exercise meant to shorten the philtrum? i have a long philtrum and it really bothers me, is this exercise going to fix it? also how long will it take to start seeing permanent results? Whenever i do this exercise the lift lasts a minute or so then goes back to normal

    I heard you say in one of your videos that you do your exercises 2 times a day, maybe not all of the time so I was wondering if it would be beneficial for me to do my exercises 2 times daily or is that overkill. and if it is ok would that be the same as 2 weeks of exercises? LOL Rita Peters

      Rita Peters Hi Rita, you are just starting, so I would suggest that you just start as instructed. I have been doing the exercises for a long time now, and the muscles on my face are very strong and toned. So, just go easy to start and build up.
