Hand of blood is one of my favs
1) This was a "radio edit" version of the song. It's shorter and censored :/
2) Just wanted to say that bullet for my valentine are kinda mocked 'cause of look and lyrics, which are both very very emo, but i think they were the best in their years with killswitch engage, at least when we talk about metalcore and similar music. the first album was 12 masterpieces one after another.
They did always have emoish lyrics, but they still had that thrash element they mixed with a lot of the songs. As someone who only likes a handful of bands in metal core, that's why bullet was my favorite
@@mattisixx1699Especially on Scream Aim Fire, which to me feels the perfect example of metalcore mixed with thrash, I think they even did covers of both Welcome Home (Sanitarium) and Creeping Death, and remember them mentioning Metallica as one of their biggest influences. Amazing band, still pushing out great songs after all these years.
This band was a staple of my childhood kind of went on a rediscovery binge of their stuff earlier this year and it was a lot of fun
F*** seasonal allergies it's been over half a decade since I got sick but I caught what I hope and pray is just a seasonal cold nevertheless it still sucks and it's hard to talk

"Scream Aim Fire" was my entire 6th grade year. Song still holds up today.
This is one of those bands where I never realized how many songs I knew from them. I grew up on their music more than I thought

Highly recommend checking out “Hand of Blood” of their initial EP, the breakdown and guitar work is amazing, it’s what got me listening to more of them over the years. I also share the sentiment of listening to the album versions of their songs as multiple versions were dumbed down and shortened for singles.

This album, Avenged Sevenfold's City of Evil and Trivium's Ascendency were my triumvirate of music as a freshman back in '05. That was a really good year for rock and metal.
These guys are from my hometown, I went from being a megafan as a teen to drinking shots with them at the local clubs most weekends. So insane.
Can't believe you havent heard of them before.... They were one of the BIGGEST influences in today's Metalcore. :D.

I'm glad you like BFMV. I've been listening to them since about 06. One of their most famous songs is All These Things I Hate. I love that song and would strongly recommend. I also really like their song, Curses. It's from their Hand Of Blood album, one of their earliest releases. More recent songs I would recommend, Leap Of Faith, Don't Need You, Death By A Thousand Cuts, Venom... songs like that. Keep it metal. \m/

I went from classic rock and thrash metal bands like Metallica to this. Bfmv opened the door for me to newer bands like parkway drive and Emmure.

Bittersweet Memories is a good song if you like the more mellow side to Matt Tuck's voice. Or if you prefer his metal scream, check out Four Words To Choke Upon.

Definitely wouldnt describe it as pop punk, but I get where you are coming from. If you genuinely like this, you should check out Avenged Sevenfold. There were probably the last real guitar band to be super mainstream. Bat country would be a good song to start off with from them.
