    Blanche in hot water, ice bath, cut the tips off and they squeeze right out.

      Well im trying this!!!! We grow onions and some come up pearl sized and i refuse to waste them. This could be amazing!

    Unfortunately one must peel pearl onions when pickling them, frozen ones have too much cellular damage to be viable.

    Well unfortunately I live in the sticks and I can never find frozen pearl onions, so peel I must. 🤷🏼‍♀️😆

    I've done both. I don't mind peeling them. The frozen ones have a weird texture.

    Par boil and they pop right out with a little squeeze. If you're making soup or stew it's nothing.

    cut the root off the onions, blanch 30 sec, ice water then squeeze and the inside comes out.
    buying frozen is fine if its for a boeuf or whatever, but if you’re serving them raw, pickled etc use fresh onions
