Sometimes the hype is built on free perfume bottles, so I almost never trust the mass hype... I only trust my nose, and this perfume in particular is very synthetic and cheap smelling (sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone, I repeat that this is what I feel).
Thank you for the review. I appreciate the time it took to evaluate this fragrance. This is why I don't blind buy anymore (most of the time!). Thank you again Pep. Great video.
That's an interesting take Pep. Love the honesty! I've never heard melted plastic from anyone else, but I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. Sometimes, you can only describe smells by giving relative comparisons. And heck, I love the smell of refined gasoline, so I'm sure there's someone out there who can appreciate the smell of smoky petro-polymers lol.
I appreciate this honest review. I have also owned this over a year and I rarely touch it. I do not pickup the tobacco. I get a strong sweet honey with a embedded red wine undertone. Way to sweet for warm season wear and a little too sharp for my nose.
Hi Pep. Thank you for this review. I also bought this on the hype. When I received it and tested it I found the smell and longevity to be no where near the quality level that the reviews were claiming. I also got an hour or sometimes less in projection. Skin scent after that. I reached out to the company after I saw an Instagram post from a reviewer stating he had a vintage bottle. The juice was clearly much darker. It made me feel that reviewers were getting a different fragrance than the one I had purchased. The company was gracious, but they denied this. And in the case of Man Made they do not sell this product in stores in America and do not have samples. This leaves the consumer with an “only choice “of a blind buy. I believe this hype train entered into some very slippery territory for the community. Thanks for the honest review.
Awesome video. I love this scent! I'm going to have to dig my nose into this more though to see if I can get some of those notes that your getting. I just notice crazy boozy honey 🍯. Great to hear your take on it though Pep! 👍👍
Appreciate your honesty, too bad it doesn’t work for you. I get a boozy honey with a little tobacco. Kinda linear but comforting scent on a cold winter day. Keep up the good work, I enjoy your channel.
I got this before the hype but I sold my bottle in 2016. The newer formulation has changed, I get that plasticky note now too. It's a good company that stands behind their product and refunded me. There is a pretty difference in formulations. The 2015 batch was more honey and smelled like a humidor.
Current taste or current standards? :P Yeah, I'm also experiencing the same thing. As your nose grows, certain scents that i thought were good/great in the past just don't meet my expectations anymore. But its part of my learning and growing process.
Great review as always. Yep....I don't like it either. I bought a sample in May 2017 and was thankful I didn't jump on the hype train first and get the bottle. I had bought Zara RWA (Feb 2017) but didn't actually wear it until May when wearing this one and I much preferred that to this.
Thanks for a good honest review.I was considering buying this a while ago but didn’t, probably a good thing.Hard to find certain fragrances here in the West, would have been a blind buy but not anymore.Bloody hyped fragrances lol.
Wow nicely done Pep, did not expect that haha, good to hear something different about this one, i have a sample and i do like it but don’t think i will get a full bottle, i have other frags similar and this could be redundant, also it’s very hard to get here in the u.k, we have to pay like £20 shipping too which is rediculous.
That's exactly what he wanted...to be different...he's going on something that's being sniffed close range not what's being smelled in the air ....I've had many fragrances that smelled great when sniffed but have some strange almost off putting scent...I would let friends wear the fragrances just as a basis of a test and the strange smells were never detected..in the air alot of scents change..some subtle... some drastic ..however its still his opinion and everyone has a right to one.
I appreciate honest reviews, both the favourable and unfavourable. You can only convey to us how it performs on your skin. No doubt, we've all encountered scents that were fabulous on someone or even just on the tester strip in store, but on ourselves . . it's just not going to be a happy pairing. The past year or so I have been exploring many more scents due to the wonderful world of samples, decants, youtube and reading. Hopefully, this will help my tastes and senses develop and refine more due to my expanding knowledge and exposure.
Quite surprised, i do really like it..I do have Herod and I find them similar and I even had a sew people smell them and really liked them and others couldn't tell the difference..I guess..its subjective..
I agree about the bottle being tacky. I'm not picking up on the plastic note. Maybe your skin just doesn't agree. I do think this fragrance has been a little overhyped and I probably won't buy another bottle. Nice review though.
I'm sorry but your review or nose is far different than what I experience and most people for that matter....I'd advise anyone watching this to try it for themselves....the majority of reviews I've seen on 18.21 are pretty accurate...this one isnt...chocolate? What? Plastic? Huh? Sorry but no way.

Ana Perfume i agree completely.

Some of these reviewers just go with the hype.
+Lawrence Nieh Appreciate the reply and definition.

I like it too. I will say the price got out of hand for a while though...🤔

Tom Ombui absolutely spot on. Just our noses and skin. My tastes have changed.
lots of frag head care more about presentation and will buy simply on that. It's quite sad
Totally agree. I like the scent, but mugler does it better
All i got was saffron
Bibb, good review!
