I adore the animated Prince of Egypt film..but the fact that TTC actually shows the golden calf scene is the main thing that gives it the edge over POE as the best Exodus movie. This movie shows how rebellious God's people were even after He delivered them...God's people are repeatedly rebelling against Him and He's repeatedly giving us more chances. This movie didn't shy away from that. That's one of the most important aspects of the story.
In the movie " An American President" Micheal J. Fox told Micheal Douglas that in the absence of true leadership people will follow anyone that would step up to lead. Even if they were following blindly.
