This is a movie to watch time after time. I can no longer remember how many times I have seen this movie. But I know the first time I did, I was about 10 years old. I am now almost 62 years. Hollywood with all its CGI and fancy special effects will never be able to recreate this masterpiece and they should not even try. This a movie that has spanned many generations and has stood the test of time and will forever be a classic to those that truly appreciate acting and directing.

Moses had to deal with some horrible stuff. Can't even imagine the pressure that was on him. Numbers 11 is when Moses finally cries out to God and basically says, "I didn't ask to be the leader of this people. I didn't give birth to them or nurse them. They're not my children, but all they do is cry to me about how they need food and water. I can't handle it. Please kill me." Man, he really went through a lot.
Love this movie, even with all its inaccuracies. DeMille took plenty of license here and combined stories and vesres from other parts of the Torah and superimposed them onto the Exodus story. Still a great movie, though!
The older version Charleston Heston portrays of Moses, he reminds me a lot of John Brown, a fearless warrior of the 1800s, who fought for freedom of slaves, even to it costing him his life. He was very grounded in the Bible, and won't be forgotten. I have seen Moses, in a lot of people from different walks of life.✌

Every time I watch the last scene when Moses is an old man I always think back to Egypt. I wonder if Rameses and Nefertari were still alive by then? We never got to see Rameses and Nefertari as old people. Nefertari might not have lived very long after Moses and the israelites left Egypt. Her son was dead, her kingdom was in ruins, she was left alone with a man she didn't love. She might have just gave up. As for Rameses, according to history he lived to be 90. Who knows if he was still alive by then.

Christ is eternal so you're sort of right, as his spirit is always with these men as it is with us, but the spirit of the Lord has only incarnated once on this earth. And that is our heavenly King on High, Lord Jesus Christ. David sinned. Elisha sinned. Christ is sinless. He is not a reincarnation.

Every time I watch the last scene when Moses is an old man I always think back to Egypt. I wonder if Rameses and Nefertari were still alive by then? We never got to see Rameses and Nefertari as old people. Nefertari might not have lived very long after Moses and the israelites left Egypt. Her son was dead, her kingdom was in ruins, she was left alone with a man she didn't love. She might have just gave up. As for Rameses, according to history he lived to be 90. Who knows if he was still alive by then.
