From Anthony farrer. This is his post a couple months later. Looks like he did nothing to help anyone.
“Just to let it be known, the watch I confiscated from the Italian scammer a few months back was released from my possession on June 1 to Garda World Transport.
I do not know where the watch ended up or who it was to be delivered too but it's been out of my hands since last week.
This watch will end up back on the market and someone will get screwed. People cried about me taking it. Do t cry to me when you end up buying it.”
    Wow what a dick.

@@Iwishitwas-hl9wj I agree with you completely. Also, I wouldn’t expect someone with the username “staxondeck” to know the first thing about the luxury watch market, nor do they have the capital to even purchase a watch from the high-end luxury market.
I too am extremely familiar with Frankenwatchs and I agree, there’s nothing wrong with them. Heck, some watch people want a watch to have specific hands, dials or any other detail, which is not available in a configuration produced by the factory. As long as the hands, dial or any other component is swapped with genuine parts made by that same watch producer, the watch is still genuine and nothing wrong with it.
And to add to your point, sometimes a frankenwatch is the only option to preserve an older watch. One that has failing aged components and/or components no longer working correctly. This scenario can diminish the quality and/or functionality of the watch.
One of my favorite frankenwatchs I’ve seen was a Hulk sub with a bluesy dial. I’ve seen some beautiful frankenwatchs that only look as good as they do because of the swapped around components. The only caveat is many watch enthusiasts frown upon the practice and for some reason, they refuse to see the desire or value in a frankenwatch. This can result in the watch being next to impossible to move on the secondary market, unless it’s restored to its original properties.

If you are wrong, you could be subject to a civil suit for damages. Some commented that this is just a customised watch, that might reduce it's value, perhaps drastically so, but it would not make it a fake watch. Same with adding non-factory diamonds etc.

I think this was him not being able to come to grips with what he thought was getting a good deal on a watch..after all his dealer friends said the guy was fugazi after he posted about it on IG...but he thought the watch was real...so how to keep the good deal and make some time to get it more checked out... say youre keeping it cuz its fake..theres no way this guy should think he could keep the Italian dude's watch.. call the cops..that's it. Guy is shady and probably why the FBI got him.
