Exactly, I need to sell my rolex but I only have 5 minutes and not 7. As if a dealer will be pressured into buying a watch when they are offered hundreds every day. Even talking in a foreign language out of earshot from the dealer when you know English they may as well ask the dealer how much will he offer for a fake to stop wasting everyone's time.

Worked at a high end pawnshop for 11 years. The amount of scammers came in all sizes, shapes and forms. Watches, paintings, coins, precious metals, sports cards you name it.
They were all fake ?

So is this a crime in Texas or can they claim they believed it’s real? I think if there is clear intent to sell a fake watch then I’d call the cops. With them on audio, even in Arabic I’d say this is a watertight case.
They said people try this kind of thing all the time. If they pressed charges against all these people they wouldn't have time to work, or maybe they don't care since there's no profit for them. I dunno, just my guess.
The cops would probably tell you it's a civil matter.

Some people maybe can’t afford the real one but like how they look so they buy an EXACT replica to have it for cheaper. Nothing wrong with that… it’s how they wear it that matters and they like the style. I’m good with my Apple Watch loll but if I were to ever get a Rolex I might as well get a great replica one for $200-300 than to pay thousands of dollars for the exact same one. If you get mugged guess what? You just lost $200-$300 rather than $10k and crying your ass off with a wrist with no watch. To each their own… Most times you have to take off a watch and let someone look very close to details to spot it fake because of how good the replicas are now a days. Who’s gonna take off their watch in the middle of the day so someone can visualize it? No one loll I would tell you go look it up online or buy one.

Fakes are potentially life savers if you are mugged. I wore 4 fakes in Brazil over several years and they were so bad I only lost one in a mugging. I felt sorry for the thief. He didn't hurt me or insult me or even point a gun at me he just lifted his shirt to reveal the handgun and told me not to get close and I placed the $10 monstrosity on the floor.
Maybe if you dont try to flash expensive fake in the first place you wont grt mugged hmm
@@PrinzAquatic In Brazil you need to have something to give up. I generally dont walk around with my phone or watch. I have a decoy wallet with $20 USD in there so I have something to give them. If you have nothing you have a good chance of getting shot.

The problem is Rolex isn't perfect as you say. The print can bleed, the lume can overspill, the movement isn't always perfect.
My mom gave me her vintage Rolex it’s from the 90s quality is amazing as soon as I put it on the hand starts moving and quality def is there!

I've found it incredibly common when dealing with groups of customers in public at my business, where they'll speak to each other in Arabic when they sense everyone else around doesn't speak it. It's so slimy and shady.

not every watch is available from an authorized dealer (ie everything discontinued). Buy from a trusted dealer.
Rather interesting. For whatever reason, this video showed up in my suggested list. You can take what I know about watches and it wouldn't fill a thimble. But I watched it anyway; never hurts to learn something new.
I found it absolutely fascinating. Although I have heard of Rolex, I had no clue there is a world out there of exotic watches and scandalous people trying to fence them. Now I am kind of intrigued. I will definitely watch more.

You should hate the real thing more than fakes. If they need an expert and his microscope + disassembly of watch to tell the difference between a 300$ watch and a 50k+$ watch then maybe its not worth it in the first place.

If you understand watches you’ll know that people don’t pay 50K for a Rolex only for the quality but most of all for the brand recognition. Those people are real successes with real money. Several months ago I posted a snide comment for which I am truly sorry. After watching more of your videos and looking at your web site I realize how wrong I was. This video is a prime example. Did anyone notice at 1:44, the guy was trying to interapt Anthony and the cameraman with the phone, while the other guy picked up the watch and pass it behind the back. Looks like they were trying to still a watch and replace it with fake, you should be very careful! Love your videos!
