Thank you for actually doing what the title said! i clicked on a million different make a pillows and yours was the only one doing what I want to do with it!
Thank you. I'm doing a Mother's Day embroidery pillow for my sister and have the embroidery finished and now I can go forward. I to am an old guy 69, learning from an 11 year old. It takes a village.
Thanks so much for this video. At school we have to make a pillow and I was so stressed out because I wasn't there the day my teacher taught us how. So I watched this video and got an A+
Ok, so I have hand sewn for years. Last year I was gifted with a sewing machine and wanted my first project to be a pillow. I had been watching youtube videos for weeks now, hoping to find someone making a pillow form scratch. Needless to say, I hadn't found one up until now. Thank you Kiana for your pleasant spirit and sewing skills. I look forward to making my first pillow on my new sewing machine.
I watched this video when it first came out and here I am watching it 6 years later. It’s just so relaxing and it feels like asmr- may have been the first asmr kinda video I ever saw which is why I came back haha 😂
I just bought me my first stitch machine from Walmart. Singer Stitch Quick Plus I am using. I am teying to do a pillow for my first project. Thanks alot!
Thank you very much....actually your daughter helped me thread my sewing machine....I have the same one... [it's one week old], and I honestly could not thread it...thank you both
+Lynette Patrice That's great to hear because we still haven't figured out how to use the automatic-threading system. But her young eyes are in splendid shape so she can thread the needle manually the first time. Me? I'm jealous. :-)
I’ve been looking all over RUclips for this! All the other pillow tutorials use one of those filler pillows so you’d essentially be sewing a pillowCASE or COVER, not a pillow from scratch like this. Thanks dear!
Thank you for teaching me how to finish my pillow. You did a terrific job. I've been quilting for several years. Tonight I made my first pillow with pieces of left over material and didn't know how to sew the 4th side to close the case.
love the fabric and homeness of your video!! im super new to sewing and this was exactly what kind of video i wanted! REAL!! Thanks Kiana! Love your name too!
Awesome job! went to 2 other videos which were going to go with a pillow insert...so glad you show how to make a pillow how I learned it in home ec years ago.
Hey there great love your pillow and a beautiful choice of fabric! I have some tips for if you decide to make another pillow. When you are sewing the seams try to sew in a straighter line. For closing up the pillow maybe next time do an invisible stitch so you cannot see the seams. Also before you start make sure to mark out where you’re going to sew, you will get a much nicer and nearer finish. Finally before sewing I would iron your fabric so your fabric doesn’t crinkle. Great job!
What a great job for 11 years old. Great to see such a young lady using her talents. Just a little advice though: You should leave the hole to fill the pillow a little smaller. And hand sew it closed. Watch a youtube video and teach yourself how to do an invisible slip stitch (ladder stitch). It would make the ends of your pillows look way better!!!
Nice I love it one question Dave where did your daughter purchase the stuffing ? I just bought a sewing machine and pillows are the only thing I can sew
Im a 50 year old man and I just learned how to make a pillow by an 11 year old, the internet is awesome. Thanks Kiana
