I LOVE that she is so modest with her makeup collection. She really doesn't keep every single makeup item that's released and let it sit in a drawer collecting dust like allllll the other beauty youtubers. Such a breath of fresh air!

I was thinking the same thing. There are some declutter videos I watch that almost make me sick to my stomach because they have so much and they get rid of like 4 things. And there is no way they will ever use even a fraction of the stuff. To each their own of course but I just don't understand the makeup hoarders.

I love love love that natural eyes palette. That shimmery pink shade on the left is one of the prettiest things I've ever seen.
I love to declutter and organize. If something doesn't have an exact spot in our home, it is gone! I like to enjoy everything I reach for in my makeup drawer. Love this series

YDK is my favorite urban decay shadow of all time. I remember getting it in a palette a very long time ago and falling hard for it. It's just so.... Delicious. I absolutely your declutter videos. They give me so much life and inspire me to declutter as well. ❤️

hey jessica... its not about getting rid of alot of stuff. even i liked the other milani pallete... the pigmentation was so good. u should've kept it.
For her she doesn't like to have too much at a time. She keeps what she loves and gets rid if what she knows she doesn't. If she's happy with her choices then that's all that matters.
I agree and she's a beauty blogger so she can use them as reference when she's comparing other brands. It's like she's getting rid of stuff in her library

In love with your declutter videos! I'm leaving for college in a month and have been so overwhelmed trying to sort through 18 years worth of stuff, but your videos have been so helpful! It's true that once you get in the "Am I really using this? Does it make me happy? Could it make someone else happier than it's making me?" mindset, it becomes so much easier. I am really impressed that you don't let your collection get out of hand. You have more than average but not to where it is impossible to ever use it all.
I love how cut throat you are with your declutters! There is so much of that buy everything and have a huge collection culture on youtube that it's nice to see someone with a large following taking the time to reflect on what they actually need. Don't get me wrong I love makeup and I have a lot of it but your outlook is refreshing!

easy way to decide between two items: keep the cruelty-free one. over half of my collection is gone bc i got rid of all of my non cruelty free brands
Once you've already bought the non-cruelty free product you've already given money towards animal testing, so surely if you like the product you might as well just keep it and then if animal testing bothers you just don't buy any more? If the money's already gone I don't see how throwing away a decent product is going to help anything.

I love the Stila palettes. I remember the manager of the counter was doing my make up & she told me that each eyeshadow changes color when you use a damp brush so you're getting 2 colors for the price of one. I'm sure you can do this with a lot of eyeshadows, but it works so great with the Stila eyeshadows and is an awesome way to turn an eyeshadow into a lasting liner. Stila was my first love and I keep reaching for their palettes over others.
The Lorac Pro I love so so much! Serioulsy give it a chance! I hit pan on alot of the colors.
I love watching your declutter videos- well, all your videos in general- you're so down to earth and I love how you always mention that we don't always have to buy everything that comes out just because it's in, or because it's the biggest brands out there. Agree.. you have a "modest" collection, and so refreshing to see you only keeping things you love. I also returned the Gwen palette (so sad!) It made my eyes water, as so many do. So grateful that Lorac doesn't bother me (unzipped and the Nordstrom exclusive palettes).
I love watching the sheer courage Jess has when she throws things out but it also makes me realllllllly anxious on a personal level...I don't know if it's cos I have so much myself and its guilt...maybe ..

Yay! I'm glad you kept the Too Faced Natural eyes palette. I just bought it the other day after I realized I have a TON of shimmers, glitters, and satins but hardly any mattes! It just made me feel a little better after seeing you keep it. lol
I love the Stila In the Light pallete! A friend gave it to me a while ago and I fell in love. Kitten it my favorite color of all!
I know you most likely have a makeup wipe to your side but I still always chuckle to myself when your hand goes offscreen to clean off the swatches because all I can imagine is you wiping it on the carpet. You have such a beautiful light carpet and we know from your videos that you're clean and organized, and all I can imagine is this one dark patch of carpet just offscreen of where your declutter videos take place. As if that's your secret flaw; a dark area on your carpet strategically never seen in any of your videos haha

I really appreciate your declutter videos. First of all I need not waste money I do not have. I am not even a makeup artist or youtuber. I just love watching these videos. I want to wear more makeup more often, but you can easily get caught up in the hype. As you can guess I need to declutter my house as well. Most of my other stuff is just paper, but I do not want to spend forever shredding paper. Thank you for your inspiration.

I am sorry , not trying to hate. Most of the youtubers who have a large fan base/audience talk about every newly released palette as a must-have!! And that influences a lot of their viewers to buy it. Those very same palettes gets decluttered now.. This is not a comment for Jessica in particular.. I am not hating nor is this an angry comment. I see this as a trend in all the declutter videos now

my naked 2 and too faced natural eyes palettes are literally my children😂 I also LOOOVE my make me over essentials palette but not many people know of the brand. the shadows are super gorgeous, pigmented, and easy to blend. but yea those are my go to eye palettes.

I just got my first urban development at basics palette this past Saturday. I like it so far, it's just expect way too much of eueshadows, even if they are neutral. But I like matte more than shimmer, and I mainly do the same look everyday. So I should love this.
She is the best😍 never thought I would declutter some of my makeup but she encouraged me so much so I declutter 8 blushes and gave to my girlfriends , I feel clean and and everyone is happy 😇

I was actually really impressed with the brush in it too! I use the crease brush end all the time.

I kind of feel the same about the UD gwen stefani palette....what bothers me most is Ifell for the whie "limited edition!!!!!" thing and bought it at full price and now you can buy it for 20 bucks!
That Stila is my fave! I got it for $17 and will never part with it. It's gorgeous! And the eyeliner it came with is awesome as well!
