Powders are usually fine to keep past their "safe" period as long as you're not using them on other people (just for liability sake and the exposure to more germs). As long as it doesn't feel or smell weird/ usual it's probably fine. If you're paranoid, just spray it with a little alcohol to kill any bacteria on the surface.

Highlight is the hardest thing for me to declutter because they really are all so different! This was intense for me to watch lol I'm glad you kept the Matte radiance! 😊😀

have you ever thought of doing a makeup brush declutter? or makeup bag declutter? I don't recall ever seeing you do one of those.

I don't get the recent highlight craze or the idea of highlight pallettes for anyone who isn't a pro. They might look pretty in the package but anyone really needs just one highlight that is not too glittery, not too intense, buildable and suits their skin tone and undertones. They don't look that different to me on the skin to keep buying more and more :o Maybe I'm just weird. I have way too many concealers though cause I like to test new ones and still haven't found a way to cover up my dark circles completely without a cakey finish. To each their own I guess :)

Unless they're legitimately different colours/finishes in an obvious way, I completely agree about minimizing your highlight collection. If you're going to splurge -- use that money on foundation or skincare. And I'm so done with highlight/contour/concealer palettes. Like... Why did we suddenly start marketing freelancer/pro products to consumers? Unless you're regularly applying makeup on a variety of clients or friends & family, you don't need even half of what you're buying. They market it like it's this "AWESOME DEAL" for what you're getting. But is what you're getting even going to be used? It's absurd to me. Kimberly Clark has touched on this a few times -- you should check out his channel.
Justyna Wisniewska I have MAC Soft and Gentle, Mary-Lou Manizer and MAC Superb. I honestly feel that it is for much for me, I only use Soft and Gentle. It's crazy to see how many products we buy for nothing. I'm not a minimalist at all but I only want to have makeup that I'm going to use. I feel better this way!

I have bare minerals love affair (very metallic, rose gold, for when I'm tan or vacationing somewhere tropical), Laura geller French Vanilla (no shimmer, matte glow, for daily use), moonstone from Becca (for going out when I'm not tan) and I have a hella metallic champagne gold eyeshadow from bed head that I top other highlighters with if I'm feeling psycho and want to channel spacecrafts outside of our atmosphere.
That pink L'Oreal Lumi is great for mixing a tiny bit into matte foundations. I do that with the Infallible pro-matte all of the time! ❤

Michelle Rhodes just think about the products you will repurchase, the ones that you barely use or not fully satisfied with just give it away or sell it, someone else may love it more+ its not gonna be collecting dust

How do you go about selling from your makeup stash? I have tons to get rid of, but don't want to just trash it, and my friends don't want it. I was bringing it to work but I really can't use a lot of it for mortuary makeup *grandmas highlight is just magical and I can see it from the back of the church*
mortygal There are a ton of Facebook makeup sale pages or you could see what Glambot might give you. Or the general Facebook "marketplace." That's where I would start if I was going to sell anything. I'd think you'd get more than if Glambot bought it from you.

The elf baked highlighter works AMAZING when you get it wet. I was really disappointed when I first got it but I heard this you get it damp it works better and it really does!

Your declutter videos Are my favorite because you ACTUALLY declutter lol. Some RUclipsrs (one is that girl Lisa Stevens I think?) have "declutter" videos but it's literally just like a tour of their collection lol. Which is totally fine but I mean don't label it a declutter when it's not. It's hard getting rid of stuff I know but I appreciate watching your declutetrs because you ACTUALLY do declutter lol

I love reserve your cabana to set my foundation sometimes especially my undereyes. It's so beautiful and gives a soft glow without glitter or sparkles! Love it!

With powders you do not need to get rid of them unless the texture changes or it smells. Don't toss stuff if it still works! :)
The physicians formula one is my absolute favorite! I've never used up a whole powder type product until this one

Ok I just had an OMG moment! Hahahaha. I have been of the Nude Wear shimmer bricks with the 4 shades of pinks. After seeing you pull that brush out from the back I went to look at mine. I NEVER KNEW THE BACK OPENED! Hahahaha. Reminds me of the time I bought the NYX Dreamcatcher palette in Golden Horizons, which is not worth the price at all, and saw a tutorial where she slid a bottom compartment where there was a mirror and foam applicator brush lol. I had no idea it was there. So funny.

Katherine Rose actually their shimmer highlighting powders are really great right from the beginning, at least that's the one I have...maybe its a different elf highlight?
I dont have a lot of makeup but I do declutter every year. decluttering is important if you collect something that will expire eventually. Specially if you rarely use certain products.

I love the dim light by Hourglass! So good as a finishing powder. And I'm kinda in love with the Cougar powder hahaha but I do love yellow highlights.
With highlights I just don't even buy more right now because if I do my collection would just grow and grow and I couldn't get rid of them cause they're so pretty!! I love shiny things! So I've got 6 all in different tones, and considering you can like never get through a highlight I'm sticking with that for now lol.

I have that pink L'Oréal highlighter and the Makeup Revolution highlighter also. I will put the L'Oréal one on first and top it with the Makeup Revolution! It highlights you to the heavens! It is one of my fav combos!! Btw, the L'Oréal is an almost exact dupe for the Cover FX highlighter drops in Celestial!

The Milk makeup highlight just came back in stock on sephora so I bought it and my boyfriend was telling me about how I buy to much makeup so I had to show him this video of proof to how pretty it is
I am a complete highlighter addict. I don't own any of the high end ones, and I only use cruelty-free, so most of mine are WnW, e.l.f. (I actually like the baked ones -- I make them work pretty well with my fingers or a damp brush), Colourpop, and Pixi. But I have been OMG COVETING that Milk holographic highlighter forever. It's so out of my budget zone, but man, seeing it again makes me WANT it! LOL
Sunlit Shores by Elf is my favorite highlighter so I had a weird sense of relief watching it stay haha
I personally like "glow within" highlights. I got too much texture on my face to bring light to that lol! I'm terrible at decluttering, I'm a makeup (I'm gonna say) collector.
I recommend the Cover FX highlighting drops. I am curious how you would compare them to the Algenist drops (which I haven't tried).

If anyone wants a subtle, beautiful highlighter, or you're looking for a highlighter for mature skin...try the Coverfx powder highlighter in 'Moonlight'.It's fantastic!
I'm 51years and have always loved my Laura Mercia 01 but tried the Coverfx on recommendation.
I was blown away. Just love it.

I don't even have one highlighter. Any recs for a newbie? Love your decluttering videos. I don't have much but they helped me be super real about the stuff that just doesn't suit me.
I like to use the rms highlight with a powder over it -- the hourglass ones would work well without being too glittery/shimmery. Unfortunately, I found that the shelf life of the rms was very short -- not a surprise for a natural/no preservative product, but I will not repurchase it for that reason -- I have plenty of other highlighters to work through. I just got the Cover FX drops in Sunlight -- total game changer. They manage to be intense but subtle at the same time -- a total
paradox on your face! :-)
