Dreary here as well. Haven’t been watching videos much lately. My sweet momma passed away very suddenly a few weeks ago. Still cannot believe it. She was perfectly healthy and we had just been with her. Lesson learned… do not take anyone for granted or think that you will have tomorrow with them. Tell them you love them every single day and hold them close. What I wouldn’t give to be able to spend one more day with my mom.💔 Your parents have always reminded me of mine.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom two years ago in January and I still cannot believe it. It sounds like we may have lost our moms in a similar way as my Mom was also very healthy and it was such a shock that we could lose her so suddenly. I brought home a lot of her makeup and clothing because it is something tangible that reminds me of her. Most of her clothing still smells like her. Do your best to take care of yourself and take each day to be reminded of your beautiful sweet Mom. God bless ❤

I love single eyeshadows!!! I know you don't like eyeshadow sticks very much, but I love them they are so easy to use.
If there are any artist/ furniture painters these pigments are GREAT to use--especially in raised areas!
Every time you mention the Merit shadows and say they don't crease, I laugh, because one of my other RUclipsrs hates them and says they crease like crazy. Just goes to show different skin types can cause makeup to react drastically different.
I just decluttered my makeup. I can't believe I am saying that ten years after starting my collection. I wanted those collection ten years ago. Now. I am like there is no need for this much makeup. Really!
the makeup by mario crystal perfector tapped over the merit studio solo shadow is literally magic that;s my almost every day go-to!! alo the merit shadow applies really pretty if you just dip a fluffy brush straight into the pot and then blend it onto your lid
For the about face eye paints the matte ones are actually amazing as face paint and stay all day. My kids love it when I paint their faces with this and they have extremely sensitive skin but doesn’t break them out at all.
You should use vintage selection and praline as base for your eyeshadow and layer with a powder shadow. The longevity it gives is insane it will stay for 2 days !
Yes I have Black Currant and Cherry Blossom and they make great bases!!

I saw a hack on RUclips a few days ago where someone took a clear gloss, and dug the wand into a single eyeshadow and made their own lip gloss. So I had to try it! It's amazing! I love it! I got the Wet N Wild gloss. I really like thay gloss. It's really good. I bought the CP Super Shock Ripple... the gloss is gorgeous. I love a purpley lip because i think cool tones look better on me.
Is the eyeshadow lip safe or we just YOLOing it? No judgement.
the maybelline colour tattoo in 'on and on bronze' is a superrr similar shade to charlotte tilbury's oyster pearl!

I bought that maybelline shadow in nude glow and it is my new holy grail eyeshadow now! Its the perfect color! I use the colourpop shadow stick in the shade socialite and it pairs perfect on top!
Love the Maybelline Nude Glow, a favorite because of you! And the Hourglass primer is a must for me, you need so little that the tube lasts forever. Dreary here too, but California coastal fog, I wish it was a thunder storm! ♥️

This was fun to watch. That pinky-purpley one seems good for people with cooler undertone than me. I just can't. But that first one from M cosmetics was amazing. And that 'chalk' one seems perfect for on the go.
I wonder if you did a 'full swatch' party, you might determine that a lot of these are so similar, you don't need them. ;-)
Jess!! Book recommendation here! You and Tyler need to read The Women by Kristin Hannah. It’s about the women that were a part of the Vietnam war and wow is amazing! My grandpa is a Vietnam vet and he said it’s one of the most realistic books about the war. Love ya!
I absolutely hate eyeshadow pots but I love eyeshadow sticks. Personally, I don’t find the higher end ones to be worth it. The Julep ones on Amazon are brilliant. I’ve got a couple shades now and they stay put. If I need extra staying power I just throw a similar powder shadow on top. They’re like $11 each. ❤
I've been meaning to try those out, I normally buy my eyeshadow sticks from Kiko Milano I believe they may be made in the same factory as the higher end ones in Italy , they are normally around $12 dollars and if you buy them from the company you can buy them when they go on sale. Light Mauve and Rosy Brown are my favorite shades

8:44 i hated that milk eye-chalk the way it was too so i broke it down and smooshed it into an empty little pot. Now i use it as a highlighter for cheeks and inner eye corners and it is so beautiful! I wish they sold that same formula in a different format. 🤞🤞🤞
That Lawless pinkish purple shade is beautiful as a pop of color on the lid with any shade, changing the intensity depending on the look. I love those colors as a pop and it brightens the eye immediately while making any look more elegant. That Em Cosmetics in the rose gold is gorgeous. It’s not a pink that makes light skin look like we have allergies but it’s an everyday shade. I’m surprised you are getting rid of some of these while keeping others. Linen is in every single palette. Maybelline Nude Glow is gorgeous! I gotta grab that one.
I recently decluttered all my eyeshadow palettes. I kept 2 large eyeshadow palettes: 1 UD and 1 Juvia's Place palette (all jewel-toned, colorful ones).
But now I'm into smaller palettes. I have 3 of the mini palettes from UD: Sin, Half Baked and Foxy. I have the ELF bite size palette in Rosewater. And 1 eye and face Milani palette. I'm much happier with my collection and love everything I use!!!
Next I have to declutter the single eyeshadows but I only have a handful left so shouldn't be too difficult.
I might try out your Maybelline and MAC suggestions Jess.
Your declutters are the best ones I watch. I sorta feel bad because my single collection is 3 times as large (or larger) and I just recently decluttered😮! You did great!❤

I use the revlon ones as a base and my eyeshadow lasts longer. If they do dry out I will add a drop of facial oil and i brings it back to life

I went to order it only to realise we don't get it in Australia (like CG blushes in Sable and Mink that I want) and it's going for over $AU100 for a twin pack (yes. You saw that right. $50 for a Maybelline single shadow. Welcome to capitalism in a captive market).
Individual shadows stress me the heck out BUT there's nothing better than L'Oreal amber rush so that's a classic and an exception!!!!!
If you all have that Elf all Mood Mad matte palette, pull that puppy out. The formula is gorgeous and the tones are perfect for any skin tone. I have gotten other elf essential palettes and wasn’t blown away, but pulled this all matte neutral palette out and been using it ever since. I see why people went crazy over that when first launched now.
I saw this and funny I just decluttered over 25 palettes the past couple weeks.
Wet n Wild single eyeshadow in shade : “NUTTY”❣️❣️It’s $2 and one of my all time favorites. I ALWAYS have a backup of this. You would love it since we have a very similar collection of single shadows

I thought the same thing immediately! Jess and Zabrena got me on to that years ago and it used to be super expensive to get it shipping over to Australia. Now it's more available. I also finally got CT Oyster (I'd filed it away and it took me ages to work out "Marie Antoinette" was Oyster and now she's decluttered it XD.

After watching your video I decluttered my eyeshadows. I found that both Maybelline Nude Glow and L’Oréal Amber Rush look pretty much the same on the eyelid. Do you find that they swatch the same color for you too? Like almost an exact dupe.
Some of these are really pretty. I am so bad about not using my single shadows. Mine dry out, so it is pointless for me to buy them. I guess I am a palette girl.

I don’t like powder eyeshadow as much anymore since cream products have been all the rage. I don’t even reach for it anymore. I prefer a cream now just a nice one color cool town brown one and done look
