Ya, Itll be a quick glue down/rip with some base. DOH! Is that a rubber backing? I have only seen it once, medical grade. I bent a 20ft in a hot parking lot and brought it into an air conditioned building. The bumps in the center of the roll were a massive nightmare to get out. Thanks for another good post..I canceled cable :)
its a lot different of a process u would cut the carpet to desired width of stairs, most likely will need multiple pieces depending on amount of steps. glue top of rug and contact glue the riser. will give u a nice install doing it this way. best if carpet is going down steps in the length but sometimes not an option depending of size of rolls and what u have for fills for steps or if u have a peice just for steps
I am installing commercial carpet and was told i'd need to rent a carpet roller to prevent bubbles. Do I really? I didn't see that done here and it looks fine.
Great video! We're a flooring company in West Sacramento, CA. We are opening a new flooring company called E-Comm Floors and we are featuring installation and how-to videos on our website for customers to utilize. I am wondering if we would be able to feature some of your videos, such as this one, on our website? Thank you!
i have a question please....i am installing carpet in my Florida room and there is no baseboard. it is an indoor/outdoor but the backing is like that of regular carpet so i will be using tack strips. what i need to know is what to do with the tucking issue as there is no baseboard on the walls and none can be put on due to the panel strips on the walls having a connecting channel in them. help please!!! i am a home remodeling person but never have installed carpet. ty
I've been doing flooring for quite some time and all my family does flooring for what I always thought if it had the black glue it is a cut back which is asbestos glue so if you're installing flooring over it shouldn't you have reported that that's just my thought too cuz you could get in trouble for that and then doing it public on a video
Dude, first of all buy a damm pouch second why do you wear knee pads on carpet over pad installs but not on direct glue down over concrete? and if you remove VCT and there is cutback (you know that black stuff on the floor that held the tile down) you have to skim coat the floor or a thing called Plasticsized migration (im sure i spelled that wrong but its late) where the moisture in the glue you use will reactivate the cut back and cause the new glue to fail
