      Did you use TDD for the best outcome ? Reading a comment, you appear to have reverse-engineered the side "green stuff". I take it that you were fed up not being able to use your holder.

    Great video!
    The first 2 are things that everyone SHOULD be taught about airbrushing when they start, but a lot of other videos seem to skip over.
    The mould line in the cup could definitely cause problems as any paint that's caught on it could slip off and clog the nozzle, so great catch there too!
    The customization thing is something I'm going to have to try out for myself. The trigger grip is great since I have a similar problem, but mine is caused by being an ogre of a human and my airbrush is just so tiny.

      Thanks for watching James, yeah the first two I picked up from watching some videos and messing around with my brush but I haven't seen anyone try the last three.
      I'm actually super happy with how the trigger and the finger grip came out, I was a bit worried as I was doing it for the first time. But yeah I used to have trouble with my hand and finger cramping but now I'm much more comfortable using it.

    What’s up with the all the subliminal stuff?

  • @Ghryst
    @Ghryst 3 года назад +1

    Once the needle is level with the nozzle tip, no extra paint will be supplied by pulling it back further (fluid dynamics), and the spray pattern is likely to be modified.
    Adjust the trigger limiter so the needle goes back no further than flush with the tip/opening of the nozzle, that'll make flow control more precise.

      Oh that's very interesting, I didn't know that. I'll try that out next time I use it. Thanks for the tip!

    idk why people are being rude in the comments it’s your airbrush and no one is making others do these modifications, nor does everyone has 100 to spend on a high end airbrush 🙄 just because he’s not a 10 year airbrush pro doesn’t mean others might not find this useful

    • @DavesMiniMenagerie
      @DavesMiniMenagerie  Год назад

      Yeah this airbrush is pretty cheap to replace, like 20 quid or less so it was fun to experiment with. When I upgrade I don't think I'll do the green stuff again unless I find my new airbrush uncomfortable

  • @dlmdlm7685
    @dlmdlm7685 2 года назад +1

    There should be a only for cheap generic airbrushes. The trigger tension adjuster is a feature not upgrade to btw. You can get sparmax and passche talon or badger airbrushes all under a 100 bucks worth every penny. These cheap one's are a nightmare to use that said the ones with 3 piece nozzles or self centering cone nozzles do work unlike the one shown in video. I've spent countless hour's on these cheap one's and good one's and hundreds of dollars. I wish could go back just skip straight past the cheap brushes straight to cheap branded one the difference is huge. But don't go out spend double to get a iwata there available everywhere in physical stores but that doesn't justify charging double to triple the competition. In short try not to need to do any of this get a good branded one that's on cheap end and lube it up good adjust trigger and use actual airbrush reducer/thinner and flow improver and you'll enjoy it instead of leaving it in box because it's easier to use a brush. If not miniature painting use airbrush paints also for miniatures/models the regular paints for it are fine enough already pigment wise.

    • @DavesMiniMenagerie
      @DavesMiniMenagerie  2 года назад

      Thanks for sharing your experience with cheaper airbrush brands.
      I have been looking into getting a sparmax airbrush since they are a legit airbrush maker and seem much better value than the iwatas etc.
      I've definitely had my frustrations with this cheap airbrush and I wish I could skip straight to a fancier airbrush but I have to budget things out, hopefully soon I'll make the upgrade though
