I love the fact that Phil says they steal his footage, even though his defence for his work being transformative is his fuck ugly face acking over gameplay footage. Then you look at this video, clearly hours and hours of work went into editing this masterpiece.
In Phil's eyes, him using raw gameplay footage allows him to simply put out much more content compared to other youtubers. What I guess he hasn't realized after years and years is that most of your fans aren't going to watch fucking 8 hours of your youtube videos EVERY DAY.
The Outsyder does good TIHYDP videos also. I think it is funny when DSP talks about how much time he puts into videos and how much time it takes with all the editing. He literally does no editing other than chopping the video into 10 minute segments. He went on one rant about how it takes him all weekend to make one 20 minute video. This is the best TIHYDP video editing I've seen yet. If Phil put this much effort editing his own videos, he might have fans again.
Phil is right. Tekken never was about spinning around. It was about doing totally realistic ten meter slomo moon jumps. And fighting against bears, kangaroos and dinosaurs while wearing high heels. And half the human population is also demons. There were never any weird characters in Tekken.
It does a pretty good job creating the *feel* of actual martial arts fights though (I'm talking UFC, Pride, etc) , less about forcing the player to lobotomize themselves like Guilty Gear, more about trying to open people up and condition them into your setups. Its a fantastical version of actual fighting styles.

They included the story assist as an anti-frustration feature to ease the execution demand for switching between all the characters in Story Mode for inexperienced players, and he doesn't use it all. He hasn't even figured it out by the special stage. Story assisted Electrics would be very useful there.

They included the story assist as an anti-frustration feature to ease the execution demand for switching between all the characters in Story Mode for inexperienced players, and he doesn't use it all. He hasn't even figured it out by the special stage. Story assisted Electrics would be very useful there.
