Do you have TEMU? It's a mega-retailer that sends your order, like Amazon and Walmart, but l've never used those. They have a lot of choices in yarns, though you have to be wary of the small skein sizes.

Oh my goodness I love the yarn section in your Joann's! If I showed you pictures of the yarn section in the closest Joann's to me which is an hour away you would probably cry LOL. It is beyond pitiful, tiny, and never stocked. So I mostly have to order yarn on line for shipping. Can't wait to see what all you make with those. Oh my gosh, I would have stood at the dump bin and done the same thing and then asked the manager for a deeper discount since none of them had labels and they are all a mess!!! I do that every once in a while at Michael’s if they have just dumped yarn and it is all tangled up. And can usually get it for the price of their grab bags.
Honestly I’ve done it so many times and the manager isn’t very fond of me there because I’m always asking them to open the boxes. So I try to get in and get out without causing too many headaches.

Your Joann is amazing! Our closest is an hour drive away and has one row of yarn. I have been working on a king size blanket in the color sunsoaked for well over a year because they only bring in two skeins at a time. However, we are soon getting a Michael’s (in the same shopping center).

If you find 2:49 something on sale take all of them if you can. I live a little over 70 miles from Dallas. I would go and go all over buying sale product. It was the only way to make money. Low income people will not be buying yarn. They have to spend their money unfortunately on other things.
If Canada has sales and yarn prices like this I would definitely stock up too. I’m 2h from the boarder to the states and haven’t been in a while, need to renew my passport first. But I would be all on that yarn, and have a full cart. lol oh wait even here I kinda do that 😂 well it is thick yarn, few balls later here and there of course it fills fast 😊. Still jealous you guys have better sales and prices
My Joann's doesn't have this amount of clearance! I was there Wednesday, I guess I'll go back today & see ... My hubby has threatened to have a yard sale... He says "you're only buying & not making"; my excuse? I was busy studying for the midwife board exam (& my doula class), since October 2022. Who had time? I passed the exam on second try . & Just finished doula course 3 weeks ago.

If you use a knitting needle or an Ami stick to fold it in half it might make it easier for the spins. I haven’t tried it but I’ve heard it helps.

I use between a 7mm and 8mm i def have to take breaks with it. But im loving the colors they are coming out with for it.
