Our joanns is so small we have 2 aisle of yarn and about 16 feet on the wall of cotton. Since their bankruptcy ours has been nice, until last week. 2 guys working and they don't look crafty. They didn't know where anything was and it was a mess. I'm not sure what they are doing to run off the ladies that were always cheerful that worked there. I think I will just be doing online shopping from now on. You are sooooo lucky to have great stores nearby!!
I'm going into work tomorrow at 3 am to do our yarn reset. We're getting 4 extra isles in yarn. I can't wait to see what new yarn we're getting. Those fur yarns look amazing. Your Joann's are much bigger than my work. I'm glad to hear Ruthie is doing great.
My JoAnn has like 6-8 aisles of yarn, in the yarn section. And then a ton by the framing counter, and then more around the store! It's been fantastic! 😍
I just discovered Prym circular needles. They have a fancy tip and love them so much. I know you’re a crocheter, but if you do ever knit you should give them a try.
the Wendy with wool is from UK. i get them all the time from my local shop. you can get them in America if order online from Wool Warehouse, loads of beautiful colours
omg i think the first joanns clips are in my local joanns?! you said rhode island but mine is in MA maybe its just one that looks similar but like that is the exact layout of my joanns and it is right on the edge so im thinking it the same one. i know a lot of stores look the same but id be shocked if one looked that similar edit: just saw the view outside lol thats definitely it! cool!
The nearest Joann store to me is an hours drive, and it's in a hole in the wall shopping complex. Tiles rotting and falling from the ceiling, leaks on the floor, and no yarn wall just shelves with yarn on them maybe half stocked at best. It's sad because they could totally profit around the amount of crafters in the area but alas I live in the poorest county in NY and they will not even fix the roads here. 😂
I feel bad for the employees. How do they even begin to organize when they have so much stock, and seemingly little empty shelf space. I wonder if some of that clearance stuff is online order returns.
I asked one of the employees because my Joann’s has had items in boxes on their floor for weeks. They have plenty of employees but Joann’s just does not approve more than a certain amount of employees to work on a given day. So for a whole store there’s only like 4-5 people allowed to be on the schedule to work that day when they should have more scheduled. The amount of business they probably lose for items people can’t buy must be ridiculous.
So jealous that this Joanns has a lot of juicy couture options 😢 I’ve been to the 3 joanns in my state but they don’t have all the colors. It’s been an adventure ordering online and playing the guessing game of if they will cancel my order
My Joann’s is expanding its yarn section and I love it. I was told an additional ten four foot sections! As for the boxes of freight, I’ve absolutely never seen my store looking like that. They fill shopping carts full of yarn to get it from the backroom to the floor. I’m shocked that so many managers allow that to happen. That’s a huge safety hazard since clearly customers are going through the boxes which don’t look safe to begin with.
As someone who has worked in retail, i want to take the two of you and put you in time out without yourcrochet supplies. Those items may not be in the systems properly. Even if they are, you may have made someone's shift harder.

Yarn wall!?!?! The closest joann to me is 40-45 minutes and they don't even have set hours cause the only people who work there are teenagers
