The problem I have with the reveal is that Pen loses her power to challenge the crown. Now everything critical she says has to be sanitized or her family will pay the price. Also, no one will ever invite her to anything and she'll be in constant danger.
No... Lady Whistledown was calling out on people's bullshit and telling out people's secrets loudly through her papers. This was a direct challenge to the throne/Queen. But they both finally traded by pen choosing to reveal herself for her own and her family's security and Queen wanting her power of being the one to govern her people without feeling like indirectly being challenged by Lady Whistledown. But we all know that pen lost a lot by revealing herself. The secrecy gave her power to reveal other's secrets but not anymore. The Queen was just angry about Whistledown because she was always challenging her but she was also amused by her and the game of finding her but it's over now.
I’ve seen some people upset that Colin wasn’t standing there with her, but I love that he held back and didn’t rush in to save her like he probably wanted to do. This was Penelope’s moment and she knew she had to face it alone, but with his encouragement from the sidelines. It shows a lot of growth for both of them.
Why would he want to run and save her at this point? He had been upset about her being Lady Whistledown and it made sense for him to stay back and see what she had to say. The same goes for Eloise and Portia.

I like Penelope made that point about power. Frankly the Queen owes her a bit of thanks because everytime the Queen got complacent it was only Penelope's paper that drove her to be more active.
I think the reason the queen didn't punish Penelope is because she wrote to the queen herself that she is lady whistledown instead of the queen to countine her hunt. I think Charlotte sees a tiny bit of herself in Pen . she knows what it's like to be tossed into a world where you're given no say no voice and no one takes you seriously . and when no one gives you power . you find it yourself and make it your own . when no one gives you a voice . you give yourself a voice and make it so loud that no one will ignore it ever again
Well people still low key praised Cressida for her “work” when she claimed she was Whistledown. Do remember that the ton live for the gossip just as much as anyone else. Including the Queen.
Thank you. The writing feels so forced here just to give Colin and Penelope a happy ending. And I feel like Lady Bridgerton was supposed to be way angrier.
Well, Lady Bridgerton didn’t watch Cressida grow up the way she did Penelope. She was basically part of the Bridgerton extended family. Even if she was mad, she probably let it go as it was a kid she saw grow up with hers plus her son’s partner. Her kids have all pulled all kinds of stunts over the years and she is quite patient with them.
Danbury and the Queen are so remarkable in considering the talents and uniqueness of the daughters of the tons. Like them they had to be placed in a path they did not chose, yet in that they found their greatness and power. Three beautiful captivating Queens, Queen Charlotte fought for her King and his people turning the country on its head. @@garlantyrell6368 not you trying to make gossip a "women" thing... lol, everyone gossip back then, the biggest one was those "less serious" newspaper, just like Penelope obtained gossip from the footMan and servants.
"What is life without a little gossip?" Well, you're going to find out. Part of the fun was not knowing who the writer was, which kept everybody on their toes and watching their backs. Now that Lady Whistledown is revealed, everyone will just be extremely careful around Penelope.
I love the fact that Penelope is right in the center on top of a drawing of a flower, now that she revealed her true identity she is no longer a wall flower 🥹
I didn’t like the way the Queen figured out it was a Bridgerton. Why would she presume that LW rushed to put out an issue “to protect the bridgertons”? It’s perfectly reasonable that LW wrote it to combat the impersonation. And how could she have speculated that Cressida would write about them? LW herself had written unflattering things about them on several occasions before. So making that the “aha” moment didn’t make sense. Also it wrapped up a bit too neatly after Pen gives this big speech her sisters release the butterflies and suddenly everyone forgets the last moments of what just happened and everyone simply starts dancing again.
Well I think the Queen had more or less. Picked up on the fact that the writer was someone who cared deeply for the family. This isn’t just because Penelope wrote an issue protecting them but because in all of her previous issues. She he never really wrote bad about them in fact the only times she did was when she needed to protect them and I believe that the queen knew that and it was why she was able to eventually narrow it down to someone within the family itself. Also the queen knew Cressida was not the real whistle down as the piece her mother wrote was to completely trash the Bridgerton family something out of character for the writer who only wrote the truth.
This will never get old 😂yes I wanna see the bugs but the moment was everything sauce I wanted more of this scene but this was enough just the right amount lol if Bridgerton comes back they better make it good lol because this was good I watched the whole beginning this year then gotta part I was most curious about bravo will Lady Bridgerton and Marcus be a thing and what’s up with Francesca and her new husband and Eloise and what happened to our villainess and what’s Daphne been up to besides having a baby? sorry if I missed something and Mrs featherington what is she doing? In regarding to the so called reveal that Penelope is Lady Whistledown, I found it a bit disappointing. I think it would have been better if Collin was standing with Penelope, like in the books. Then he comes to her and wants to be with her after she had to stand up for herself.
Is anyone else curious about what was written in Penelope's letter to the Queen or Lady Bridgerton? Haven't read the books, does it tell in the book?? PS loved the way her dress changed colors❤

Some things won’t make sense if you jump into the last season. To see the character development and relationships you have to start from the beginning.
This was absolutely beautiful I love this season so much I can't wait till season 4 I honestly think that at the end the sister realized that she was gay we should be very interesting to see what happens when her and the cousin
This was so bad...the biggest gossiper of the ton reveled...and nothing. So lackluster, no consequences, no dialogue about it, no nothing. It's the same when gossip girl ended, everybody felt let down by Dan not facing the consequences of it, no one liked that Serena was so ok with marrying him practially imediatly after everything. Nobody likes that series finale. You had something great to make a big revelation and decided to do this. Cressida being fake whistledown got more backlash than Pen. (Also, this is more a me problem than an overall problem, but: that wig??? Omg, is soooo bad, you can tell it's a wig, it doesn't have movement, it doesn't mimic hair properly, it's so distracting. Usually I could buy Penelope's hair, especially in s1, in s2 some wigs have problems, but most of them werw still very good, it looked like her hair. But this scene? It's so fake).
The Queen threatened Elosie's whole family if she didn't come forward. Yet with Penelope, it was like don't challenge me again. I think it still shows Penelope still gets looked over. Everyone was talking about how her new dress was going to turn every head in town, and it didn't make that much of a difference. Sure, people noticed, but she didn't have a huge impact. I know people might not agree, but Daphne dropping the fan in front if the prince had yet to be topped.
It was bad. Probably every member of the ton would have something against her, if not the queen, she would have to face the ire, or something worse, from others.. she literally exposed illegitimate children, rakes, schemes, etc. So ok, the queen isn’t bothered, but I don’t think it should end there, certain members would be looking to ruin her. This scene felt very weak and not authentic to the build up that went on for multiple seasons
About the hair, I have to say, I couldn’t vibe with the wavy hair which wasn’t tied up most of the time. It doesn’t look bad, but it was yet another thing that didn’t fit with regency times.. I actually preferred her maybe unfashionable outfits, but carefree vibe from before. I thought they brought more of her carefree spirit out. I wish they showed some aspect of that in her glow up instead of doing a complete 180. there were just too many distracting things in this season

@@garlantyrell6368 not you trying to make gossip a "women" thing... lol, everyone gossip back then, the biggest one was those "less serious" newspaper, just like Penelope obtained gossip from the footMan and servants.
Stellar acting, writing and diction, you got it right Netflix and Shonda...Bravo.
Penelope Bridgerton ☝️
THE LOOK ON ADY DANBURY'S FACE....IT KILLS ME
Penelope iconic ❤❤❤❤
The most romantic love story between Colin and Penelope.
ME right after the Queen left : "NOW, VARLEY THE BUGS!!"
"What is life without a little gossip?"
Well, you're going to find out.
I loved the character of Portis.. she has so many layers to ger. I wusg we ger a spinoff season about her.
Man the way this woman ate this role up almost thought this was Game of Thrones 😂
In modern speech she kinda apologized for hiding behind the keyboard. I love it 😂
VARLEY!! NOW....THE BUGS!!! RELEASE THE BUGS!!
Not the queen pausing the beat lol
Charlotte looks amazing in that outfit
Majesty's red perch was required.
I wish that Lady Whistledown would have remained a secret, the fact that she was ousted, really bothered me.
0:37 I really want to know the music in this scene so what is the music called?
Awesomely done!
"NOW VARLEY! THE BUGS!"
Who’s her loving interest?😂 it was nice to see the behind-the-scenes how difficult it is to make everything look lovely how hard everyone works behind-the-scenes bravo to them as well for their hard work.💕🙏💕
Queen Charlotte is fabulous
In regarding to the so called reveal that Penelope is Lady Whistledown, I found it a bit disappointing. I think it would have been better if Collin was standing with Penelope, like in the books. Then he comes to her and wants to be with her after she had to stand up for herself.
Now what should I watch after Bridgerton, I'm thinking that I like this kind of series ❤ Please help 😅
Pride and Prejudice + Zombies
Sanditon is great and complete!
Any soap opera, vecause thats pretty much what Bridgerton is.
@@beowulf916 Bridgerton is definitely more soapy that a lot of regency romance adaptations, season 3 especially so.
That is what we must say when we got caught as a whistleblower
Queen Charlotte, the real BOSS and Diva
I haven't watched this episode yet but I'm fine having it spoiled for me
Is anyone else curious about what was written in Penelope's letter to the Queen or Lady Bridgerton? Haven't read the books, does it tell in the book??
PS loved the way her dress changed colors❤
I kind of want to watch this season but only saw a few eps of season 1... can I just watch s3 or is this the type of series where I have to start from 1
Some things won’t make sense if you jump into the last season. To see the character development and relationships you have to start from the beginning.
This season's clothes look rather costumey
What is the music frkm this scene I would like to know please 🥺?
I bet you this little scene is going to give everybody the courage to gossip now....🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️
This was absolutely beautiful I love this season so much I can't wait till season 4 I honestly think that at the end the sister realized that she was gay we should be very interesting to see what happens when her and the cousin
but how did the queen find out it's penelope?
@MrTonyTV3 Because she literally told her?
I’m just glad the king got my invitation King Charles 3
Penélope can be a great spy master
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Oooh your majesty, did you just queef?!?!
at that time she was Penelope Bridgerton, not Featherington... just saying :D love her speech and the queen of course, who could not
What is life without a little gossip
I didnt watch the series. I have a Question: is collin as a bridgerton the queens grandchild or her own child?
NOW, VARLEY, THE BUGS
A young lady whom no one listens takes seriously
What is this? I just started watching brdigerton and theres this big reveal?
❣️
I still think saying she is Whistledown to freaking everyone was stupid.
Was not a fan of the reval to everyone, preferred it remained a secret.
Has it finally ended???
That's in the last episode of the season but the series isn't finished yet
Why was this different from the original novel?
What consequences must she get? She only writes the truth!
@@rubyanne4909i think the reason the Queen didn’t crush her was because of Lady Danbury’s talk with her
