Macroom badly needs it.
I wish there was an economical way to build these things so that they were aesthetically beautiful as well and not just functional.
Lots of infrastructure around the world was built to look good and stood the test of time.
The beautiful stone bridges on the bypass being built over by poured concrete pillars will not!
The rolling hills with carved out straight lines will not.
There must be engineers out there who are artists and poets at heart who can do function and beauty at the same time.
Unfortunately that seems unlikely to happen, but I agree with you John.
I think many modern buildings lack that sensitivity towards aesthetic values.
Thank God they are bypassing this town it's a joke trying to get through there with the traffic..if there was ever a town to be bypassed it's macroom..bring it on.
