Honestly, I have differing opinions about this game. I absolutely love it, story, gameplay, message, and all (aside from that uncomfortable sex scene). Meh in this case even if the game developers tried to spin it in that direction Ellie had a way more subjective and open ending than Abby did. Which just feels inconclusive and gets many people just frustrated because it ends with the overall message of revenge being more so at the expense of Ellie, who simply holds a priority over a character like Abby to many. And the whole "abby lost his friends" yeah that's irrelevant, because for many people the best Abby will get is apathy or indifference after the finale of the game, in which hopefully most will feel the tiredness of the whole cycle of violence. So no, the "point" of the ending is well deserving of being criticised when the execution of it is done poorly in many people's eyes; as it's way more favorable in terms of explicitness with one character.
ngl this game was so sad because abby was technically in the right and was doing what she had to do but i think that joel did the right thing when saving ellie in the first game. its really hard to be on either side

And the world is huge, there are likely more immune people born under the same circumstances as ellie. Some African or Asian survivor may be the 1 to find the cure. A parent would gladly sacrifice the world to save their child. It may be sailfish, but its completely understandable.

When I played the game on Grounded I barely had ammo and had to use melee on most of the enemies, although I saw a video that shows how to kill the bloaters with melee as well (you need to punch them near the windows you can jump if I remember)

i keep getting your content recommended to me and this is the first time i’ve watched. i was shocked by your starting comments, which i’m assuming was your intention, but as a fan of the game, i decided to hear you out and i watched the video. while i do deeply appreciate her as a character, i can understand the abby hate (not necessarily the negative comments about her body though), but what i really didn’t understand was the hate towards lev. i thought his storyline was one of the most compelling parts of the game. he’s a trans kid who grew up in a religious environment, desperately hoping that he can get his mother to understand his situation and to love him as he is, but because his mother is so devout, he can’t get that acceptance from her, and it’s devastating. i just don’t understand how his character can be brushed off as an annoying kid that creates problems, because the character represents so much more than that.

I personally mostly agree with you on the first part, I enjoy the main part of Ellie struggling with her mental health as I really relate to fighting mental health problems. The rest of the time, this game is extremely boring and slow with the story. The gameplay is definitely the fun part of this game. Thus I enjoy the last of us part 2 more than 1 as I find 1 very slow and boring. Great gameplay and opinions. (I really do find it entertaining to reply to upset people who can’t handle that not everyone likes this game)

17:13 The Restaurant Holdout section can be beaten without shooting a single bullet. Note: I did bring an upgraded machete at full durability and four shivs into the fight, along with the materials to craft more shivs. The first wave was a breeze since the upgraded machete one or two-shots most enemies. But since it broke right after I killed the final enemy in the wave, I had to use my fists for the remainder of the fight. So after rattling the doors to activate the second wave, I developed a strategy to kill the clickers once I ran out of bricks to use. Because I had shivs, I was able to run into a clicker without being insta-killed. So, I would allow myself to be grabbed and shivved the clicker. One shiv alone won't kill a clicker, so I had to run into and shiv the clicker again. Every time I got low, i just ran to the opposite side of the arena and used a medkit. I would do the same if I had to craft more shivs. Once the shamblers came out, I would punch the shamblers while they were climbing through the broken windows because they couldn't shoot out spores while going through windows or gaps in the walls. That's when I figured out the section is timed; if you survive long enough against the enemies, Lev will break the windshield of the truck, allowing for you to escape the area. It did take a good while before it happened though. I believe this timer turns on after a certain amount of enemies are killed or once you rattle the doors, but I'm not sure about that.

i personally love the game play it’s just the story line i agree wasn’t the BEST i mean is it terrible? no, but it definitely could’ve been written better but i still enjoy the game play and the cut scenes and the look of the game.

There's actually a guy on RUclips called Old Jerstin and he makes a lot of tlou content. He had created a short asking the question whether you can beat the rat king with quote "the hands that god gave you" and you cannot. I know this is a kinfe challenge but I believe the rat king is just a one touch dead encounter. I love your videos so much and they have always made me laugh! Love that youre willing to do these crazy challenges!

Naughty dog could’ve aloud us to kill Abby while still teaching us that revenge is bad thing by still letting Ellie lose everything. Killing Abby might’ve help things a bit.

The Restaurant Holdout section can be beaten without shooting a single bullet.
Note: I did bring an upgraded machete at full durability and four shivs into the fight, along with the materials to craft more shivs.
The first wave was a breeze since the upgraded machete one or two-shots most enemies. But since it broke right after I killed the final enemy in the wave, I had to use my fists for the remainder of the fight.
So after rattling the doors to activate the second wave, I developed a strategy to kill the clickers once I ran out of bricks to use. Because I had shivs, I was able to run into a clicker without being insta-killed. So, I would allow myself to be grabbed and shivved the clicker. One shiv alone won't kill a clicker, so I had to run into and shiv the clicker again. Every time I got low, i just ran to the opposite side of the arena and used a medkit. I would do the same if I had to craft more shivs.
Once the shamblers came out, I would punch the shamblers while they were climbing through the broken windows because they couldn't shoot out spores while going through windows or gaps in the walls. That's when I figured out the section is timed; if you survive long enough against the enemies, Lev will break the windshield of the truck, allowing for you to escape the area. It did take a good while before it happened though. I believe this timer turns on after a certain amount of enemies are killed or once you rattle the doors, but I'm not sure about that.
