I live in Vancouver like Matt and got FSD 12.3.3 April 1. Today was my first day really testing it, and found it to be remarkably better than v11. It really does drive much more like a human when on the city streets stack. The highway driving seems about the same, which is already quite reliable. My first impressions are a 10/10.
I am absolutely shocked about the closing price too. I have been waiting for TSLA in the 150’s for a while now and thought I was going to get my chance today. In the end, it really doesn’t matter if it goes to 150 or 180, I will still buy anyway.
Matt, your analysis of current TSLA current news is far above and beyond what others are saying. Albeit mostly twitter, referencing this data gives confidence to make our own opinions. Keep up the good work!

It is impressive, can’t wait to see if it can pass the wife test.
I get May 2019 vibes again reading all these negative comments.. At that time I bought more and more Tesla shares at its rock bottom in May/June of 2019... and was rewarded second half of 2019 to end of 2021 when the Stock soared higher to new All Time Highs.. Still those positions are at 10X or so, and I won't sell anytime soon.
Q2 will already be a lot better, That Tesla has raised prices the past few weeks, shows Tesla is not at all concerned about the demand, so why should we? The low deliveries have everything to do with a skewed supply chain when most of these inventories are in reality in transit, where these supposed to be delivered the last 1-2 weeks of the quarter, will now be delivered early Q2.. The China numbers already show this with a very good last week of Q1..
The 4000 megapacks are good for about 8 Billion in revenue, at a margin of about 25-30% this will be a great contributor to the bottom line of Tesla.
The rise of FSD (Supervised) 12.3 will show in Q2, I do not think it will be material for Q1
Supercharger opened to Ford and Rivian, must show some improved numbers in 'Services and other'
But most important, we need some uplifting guidance from Tesla, just like they did in 2023 Q1, if their delivery goals remain above 2 Million cars delivered, I think the stock will do OK, if Tesla provide even higher goals and if this goes together with some uplifting announcements, like a date for the next gen reveal, date for Mexico ground breaking ceremony, date for AI day 2024.. something like that, the stock could soar.
I am pretty confident the Q1 call will be a good one after 3 quite bad ones, Tesla has too, to keep the faith of their investors, and I am sure Elon Musk knows this.
Anyway, it is not all doom and gloom, there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel
Tesla has produced model 3 ludicrous in large numbers. But they couldn't sell them because the car hasn't been revealed yet. That's why the production is higher than the deliveries.

I agree that when we hit the bottom, this could be the last chance to get in. I've sold my car, wife, and dog to buy my largest allocation in this dip, targeting somewhere before earnings.

After seeing that FSD clip, I think there may actually be some hope for Ashok Elluswamy (Tesla FSD Team lead) goal to have FSD drive in the crazy traffic in India.

No one is talking about inflation’s impact on sales. Or insurance rate hikes this year. I bought my model Y in February 6.59% is crazy high and I have an 830 credit score. My insurance TRIPLED!!! moving from a 2016 ford vehicle to a 2024 Tesla MY. Also all the state EV taxes they have is ridiculous. That’s why deliveries are down. Luckily I was still in a position where I could purchase this amazing vehicle. Fsd 12 ftw
Compare to last year auto insurance were up 1.4%..for whole auto industry. A Good credit score will change the price paid for car insurance
I think the stock didn't drop as much as imagined because Tesla's deliveries beat BYD's deliveries.

There were 116 million TSLA shares traded today. This is more than for several weeks when 60 m- 90 m range was the normal. This infers that quite a few more investors spotted a bargain.

Is it possible…. Tesla Wants those 50000 car/robots for themselves. (50000 more in prod than sales) In this situation I would expect price cuts. We see price increases. Tesla keeps lease returns. If they launch robo taxi in a few cities the need car/robots Maybe they are to focus on profit vs volume. With advances in fsd. Seems timely. Building inventory for the fleet ?????
Tesla just needs marketing like every other large company in the world.
Tesla needs to offer the 2 seater model y option in North America and china like they added in France. Could offer to send service tech to remove seats from inventory purchases & add the mat the French models are getting.
Long Term TSLA will do very well. Long Term = 3+ years. Short Term TSLA is on sale. So what do you want to do buy expensive shares or cheap shares. Get over it and start buying the sale!
Cheap Tesla prices are not going to last three years. There are way too many positive catalyst over the next.12-36 months

@@simonsays911 Tesla is about long term INVESTING if you are getting into ANY stock just for short time horizon than you are simply SPECULATING and speculating is nothing short of gamblings buying Tesla now and holding for 10years is 100% the best move and the chance to 20-30-40X your money in that time frame is very good. That’s REAL investing buying and holding long term

Tesla has nothing in the pipeline for the next 18 months to predict growth. Or do I miss something? Only Energy storage has growth. FSD seems only growth for the US. In the EU FSD will be mega difficult. Each country has a different road structure. To learn the FSD AI for this will be more difficult. Model Y will update this year, will create production ramping, less sales of the current model. Longterm (3 to 5 years), seems OK, especially with the Tesla forecasted production improvements (40% cost reduction), Optimus Robot.

Just curious, Matt. Why should Elon do more. He has not been paid since 2018. Would yuo keep working for free when yu have companies that actually don't show you the finger? Maybe Elon just told the teams: Hey, let's just work on regular pace, no end of quarter wave, demand FSD demos, and let the shareholders see what happens when people don't get paid. He might also work on his AI (Grok), and other ventures like Neuralink, Boring COpany and SpaceX.
Fair enough, but the CEO has a fiduciary duty as such, he isn’t the owner the public shares could in theory have enough voting rights to boot him. Bad idea but that’s why it’s a public company and not a private one

Erm the whole auto industry are affected.. BYD decline 40%, GM decline 20%..etc.. it reasonable that stock gonna tank, expecting a huge drop it just bear prediction and too late for that.. so it reasonable that Tesla will tank and rally.. FSD is gonna be known to vast Tesla owners and potential buyer.. and model 3 Ludicrous is out.. cybertruck ramping.

Never any mention of how bad China is. (economy, not Tesla) China rebounded slightly in march, but we're not sure if this is a trend or just a blip. Some analysts think it's the beginning of an economic rebound.
All the would-be stock pumping RUclipsrs are having an uncomfortable evening, especially the truly absurd ones (ie, Randy Kirk). Dan Inves is right this time - its awful, narrative breaking result. It's also right though to reflect that the stock fall TODAY hasn't been anywhere near as bad as you would expect - let's see whether the rest of the week sees the stock head further south (as there's often a delayed response)
We knew that FSD was having a mitigating effect on stock price reductions: it has a lot of heavy lifting to do this week and it will be a fascinating test of FSD sentiment, because that is the only thing standing between us a further 15% fall.

I have skin in the game - and a lot of it. The sky might hold up, but a few stars are in a declining orbit.
I'm not saying that it is all the fault of the company, but it's still a crappy result, particularly when the mantra was previously that T could sell every car that it makes - and I fear a lot more punishment is coming.

This quarter simply reveals all the "fans" who are actually naysayers and bring a negative influence on Tesla's innovation. Constantly complaining the near term strategy, wanting Tesla to follow the playbook of other companies, wanting Elon to shut up or step down... The just don't understand the longer term 3D chess game going on. (maximize production efficiency, dominate the market by leading the pricing, then build on that position with FSD as the game-changing feature).

Economic growth will be sluggish this year because of the turmoil in many places, however I believe Tesla can withstand this downturn because it has been profitable for quite some time.
