Been here with my family and we have booked a return trip for next year. The wildlife, hotel grounds, beach and xcarat park next door are all amazing.
I do agree with the food not being top notch but it wasn’t awful either. Good variety and if you try everything you just avoid what you didn’t enjoy. We did not get or hear of any food poisoning on our trip. The steak house was great and I did enjoy the taco/pizza place too. Buffet needs improvement for sure though but like I said, try it all and then dodge what you don’t enjoy

I saw this video and decided to take a 10 day vacation there. During my stay a got food poisoning and had to take medication. Food is horrible the only thing that me and my family ended eating was the omelette station do to that they had fresh eggs other than that not good. Room was so far from buffet we had to walk 15 minutes to get there and 15 minutes to get back to our room. Beach is man made and did not look appealing everywhere you want to go is 15 minutes walk it get tirering after 2 days. Well I can keep going and going but I’m going to ended on a good not the omelette guy Hugo the best he made my omelette to perfection and not made me sick like the rest of the food that had flys everywhere. My room service very good I made sure they both got a good tip before we left.
They do have trams that will take you all the way so you don't have that grueling 15 minute walk. Everyone walks the nice walk along the jungle via the bridge so you must not like walking much. 15 minutes?
